Once again an excellent comic book hero brought to the screen. This movie did justice to Ironman. You will be stuck to the seat the entire 2 hours. Very good action and special effects. My son and daughter loved it too. One negative - They did not need so much skin in the begining to get their point across

The movie is great, low in action, but packed with story and great performances. Trust me when I say this movie is great! Stay after the credits, there's a little scene that if you are a Marvel fan, you will love!

I had no previous knowledge of Iron Man other than that he was a superhero going into this movie. I came out of the theater, not only LOVING it, but wanting to know more about Iron Man. Here's hoping for a sequel! Definitely highly recommended!

This is the best Superhero movie to date. I was blown away by the the last batman but this movie is amazing. The FX are great, acting superb, and story line very detailed. Jeff Bridges was a great character and his new bald look was cool. Downy once agin put out a fantastic acting job. He is just so darn good! The theater was packed and at the end everyone clapped!! It was great . go see it.

If you liked the spider-man or the X-men movies, you'll enjoy this picture. This film will rejuvenate Robert Downey JRs career, because he stole the show, as he should have. Howard, Paltrow, and especially Bridges help bring the story to life; but it is Downey who draws you into the tale. Wouldn't recommend for small children (under 6) because of the intensity of his 'origin' story line, but it is suitable for the whole family; took my 9 year old and he can't stop talking about how cool Ironman is. All in all stays true to the comics but has a breath of Hollywood(awesome special FX!!), would recommend to all.

Well, first and foremost I have never read an Iron Man comic book nor really know the plot so I was not sure what to expect. Would I have a ton of questions of who, what, where, when & why? Believe me the husband was prepared.
Well, I had none really and loved the movie. Robert Downey Jr. was AWESOME. Loved the banter, loved the interaction. I am not really a Gwyneth Paltrow fan, but loved her role as well.
I am entertaining the thought of going to see it again.

This is one of the better Marvel movies, I think. Watching the creation of the suit was amazing. I was a little hesitant about Robert Downey Jr playing the role but he played a very believable Tony Stark.
PS: LOVE Stan Lee's cameo!

Iron Man is one of the best comic book movies to come out in a while. Robert Downey Jr. is certainly not your typical square-jawed hero type, but when he puts on the Iron Man suit, you believe this guy could shred about anything that gets in his way. The opening scene, with Tony Stark in a Humvee with three soldiers, is hilarious (at least until things start blowing up). Gwyneth Paltrow is great as Pepper Potts, Stark's long-suffering assistant.
Unfortunately, the movie gets much too wrapped up in the creation of the suit, both the original version and Tony's new, improved red and gold outfit. This is particularly unfortunate because the creation of the first suit is almost laughable in its implausibility--Tony builds the suit in a cave in Afghanistan while he's supposed to be making a missile for his terrorist captors.
All in all, though, a fun way to spend a couple of hours at the Saturday matinee.

This movie is probably the best movie of this summer, has all the things need to satisfy any kind of movie goer. From romance, action, thrills it has all in it. It has some very good dialogues too.

I didn't think Robert Downy Jr. could pull it off, but he did a fantastic job. The plot, action, and sarcastic banter made this movie extremely entertaining.

My Family and I went to see Iron Man on Saturday 5/3/2008 and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is one of the best movies we have seen in a long time. My sons range in age from 12 - 22 and they all liked it so much they want to buy it when it is release for purchase. Go see this one you won't be disappointed!

Great movie. Very small changes from the original 60's story - but the changes are great - and I was superbly impressed with the movie. Being an Iron Man fan from issue 001 days - I was skeptical but pleased. Glad they got Downey in the role - finally he is in a role that is HIM. Go see it - you will love it.

You can pay for the whole seat, but you will only use the edge. This movie is exciteing from start to finish. It gives you little time to relax. If you don't enjoy this movie, you must be one of those people who like to watch paint dry. I'll proabaly go see it again, if not once, several times. To bad it's not 3D. I remember hearing some speculation about Rovert Downey Jr. playing the role, but after seeing the movie I now have to ask, who could have done it better? His quick wit, along with his arrogance made the character Tony Stark, just hope he can stay clean for several reprisals. Enjoy.

VERY good movie! Excellent bad guys and good guys, and a great example of the conflict between good and evil while not being overly preachy or politically motivated! Entire family enjoyed it very much. MUST SEE at Theatre. Dont wait for DVD for this one. Robert Downey Jr. is definitely back with a roar!!!!

I took my 8 year old and 14 year old sons. We all LOVED this! Though I must say I knew who the bad gut was from the begining! There were only a few parts where I covered my 8 year olds eyes. I don' think he understood what was going on, just in case. This movie was exciting and kept you cheering for the good guy. There were several instances when the entire audience was laughing or cheering! As I said AWESOME movie!

I guess I've seen too many movies at this point, but I do enjoy a great superhero action film. Downey was the perfect choice and the humor made him an excellent Stark. SFX were spot on and the cast was great. There was almost a Raymond Chandler sort of chemistry between Stark and Pepper. Favreau's technical skill and character development are good, but the script left the movie a little empty for me along with clichés that are better left out of movies now for that reason. The "biggest" one being the old mano a mano suit fight David and Goliath bit and the story that drove it. TIred, tired, tired. Looking forward to the 2010 sequel though.

While its nice to see Robert Downey Jr in something other than a mug shot, this film plays to the dumb crowd. I guess if you can suspend your disbelief enough to accept that a man can fly, you can look over all the other little things that are wrong with the picture. An Air Force officer would never be as close to a contractor as depicted in this movie, there are laws against that. The impacts Downey suffers in the first suit and while testing the second surely would have killed him. Etc...
Then there is the issue as to who the bad guys are. His company has been selling weapons to "good" guys as well as "bad" guys but you never really get to know why they are bad other than they push civilians around. When he finds out that his board of directors are the ones who pushed to sell to the bad guys, what does he do? He goes after the "bad guys" instead of his board of directors.
On a plus, Paltrow looked pretty good. I don't recall seeing Samuel Jackson in it at all.

Simply put, "Iron Man" has got everything. Drama, action, humor, romance, social commentary and then it's all fused together thanks to sharp dialogue and brilliant performances. Robert Downey Jr. is phenomenal. His supporting cast including Gwyneth Paltrow, Jeff Bridges and Terrance Howard are also wonderful. This movie transcends the label of summer blockbuster. It's smart and funny and even emotiionally moving at times. If you love comic book movies then you've already seen "Iron Man". If you hate comic book movies or summer blockbusters in general then you really must see "Iron Man". Flawless and fun.

You know, when I saw the previews, I thought, it looks like it could be cool, but I was never much into Iron Man as I was X-Men and Spider-man... and thought it could end up sucking too...
I was blown away. This movie totally rocks! Robert Downey Jr was excellent as Tony Stark, and Paltrow's character was just as good.
It really entertained and took me back to being a kid. I was so wanting that suit after the movie.
In a day of OVERPRICED movie tickets, definitely worth every penney!

Iron Man was a pleasant and entertaining fiction of another rich man turned superhero. While much of the movie was spent in the set up of what turned playboy Stark into a superhero (thanks to his ingenious gadgets), the CGI made it worth the wait. Some of the best special effects I've seen to date.
