Yes, I definately would recommend this movie for all to see. Robert Downey and Jeff Bridges nailed it. Jeff Bridges was so convincing in his character that I did not recognize him immediately. By far, Robert Downey's best performance. I bet dollars to doughnuts that a sequel will be in production once they review the overall audience response to the movie.
In a nut shell, GREAT MOVIE; WELL THOUGHT OUT, AND EXECUTED.

Finally, a Marvel movie that truly captivates the human aspect. The movie is very realistic and highlights some very poignant and real time issues within corporate and Military America. Robert Downey Jr. is very true to the character, including Tony Stark's numerous flaws. Excellent film for even the non comic book fans.

A flawed hero ... Perfect assistant... Calm , calculating villian? What more could we want in an action adventure hero? Robert Downey delivers a perfect perfomance, Jeff Bridges is scarily evil, Gwyneth is stunning... Terrence Howard the faithful capable friend needed more dialogue but delivers an otherwise capable performance. The special effects were well done contributing to the story and hero instead of detracting. Well worth seeing, my audience group cheered several times, and be sure and wait for the end of the credits or you will miss a treat..

After watching this movie, my first reaction (s) was to buy a Dell Computer, set up a Verizon Wireless account.... well you know; thank goodness I stopped and ate a Burger King value meal before making a rash decision.
This really was a good movie. Better than most super hero movies. The biggest down side to this movie was that I toook my 9 year old to see it with me, and the plot was too mature for him. Kudos to the rating being PG13.
When comparing to the comic books, this movie was excellant, not only did it draw on a lot of the original, including the evolution of the armour, it did so and kept the non comic book reader in mind, making it a movie all could enjoy.

This movie has a great plot, cast, effects, action scenes, cameos, locations.
There are a few hints at the next movie.
At the end after the credits stay till the till the end of the credits.
I went out to get a refill my friend stayed he said there is a scene during or after the credits.STARRING:Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson
I am not telling what it was but I will have to wait for it the next time I watch it.
Now I need to pick up the Iron Man game.

When Robert Downey first had the Ironman suit put on, I said YEAH to the screen. I think this is going to be one of the better comic made for movie since Spiderman first hit the theatre. I hope you all get to see this on the big screen. Don't what for it to come out on DVD. Go see it now you won't be disappointed.

I didn't know much about Iron Man before going to see this movie but the Marvel brand so far has been very entertaining so I had to see it. Overall the movie was well done, the story line made sense, not only was it funny but it was fun to watch. I did find it slow at times and there were some scenes and language that are not appropriate for children(hence the PG-13 rating). Robert Downey has made a new icon for Iron Man, I don't think anyone could have done the role better. Great lines, good music, special effects that fit the story line. Iron Man has found a new fan.

Ironman was awesome! I did not know anything about Ironman before watching this movie, but I am a fan now. It was a very good movie, better than any of the recent super hero movies. Downey Jr. was perfect for the role. i highly recommend this movie.

I tend to be a bit leery when I see a comic book adapted on the big screen. It's completely hit or miss most of the time, but this movie is a definite hit. The adaptation is true to the original Iron Man story. It has been updated from the Jungles of VietNam to the mountains of Afghanistan, which worked very well. The actors are perfectly cast and do their parts very well. The chemistry between Paltrow and Downey Jr. is particularly entertaining to watch.
Overall it's well developed and the special effects are balanced with the story. Be sure to stay until the end of the credits: there's a great little surprise!
Go see this movie. I would even be so bold to say that this is better than the first Spiderman movie.

If I want to sit through two hours of commercials I would prefer to do it during a Super Bowl game, where I don't have to shell out money for a ticket. The plot line was boring enough (did we have to spend 30 minutes watching the inane process by which Stark goes about creating his iron man?), but the relentless parade of product placements (Bulgari, Bluthner, Audi, etc.) was annoying. I also found the stereotype of the bloodthirsty, evil Arabs to be offensive.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I love action and comic book movies. This one definitely did not disappoint. It had both. I was glad to see Robert Downey, Jr. back on the big screen. The cast worked well in this movie. My son Colin and I loved it! The special effects were great and the cast had great timing and chemistry.

Iron Man was one of my favorite comic action heroes as a child. I was not anticipating this movie to top some of the more recent comic book based movies. However, the movie captivated us from the moment it started and although the plot read like a comic book adventure ( I guess it is supposeed to, right?) it was GREAT! I can't wait for the sequel and don't forget to wait for the rest of the movie after the credits have run! Iron Man remains my #1 comic book hero and the movie perpetuates my belief! Go see it!

It made me happy to at last see a comic book movie done right. The movie was very well made, the story developed very well, and the visuals were absolutly spectacular! The performances were spot on as well, Robert Downry Jr. was born for this part.

First of all, it was appropriate enough for children. There is a rather steamy scene in the first 30 minutes but you can see it coming and use your manual parental visual filters (hands over the eyes) if you feel the need. I took my 6 and 7 year old boys and they loved it.
It's a great redemption story told with enough humor and special effects to appeal to all audiences. Of all the well done casting choices, Jeff Bridges was my favorite by far.
Stan Lee's ubiquitous cameo was the best so far.
Overall, the comic book super hero genre has arrived and matured and a movie making vehicle and Iron Man is a great example of how a great story hidden away in the obscurity of comic books can be brought forward into an excellent mass appeal movie.

We went to see this movie with HIgh expectations. It exceeded all of our hopes for this movie. Robert Downey Jr was as Tony Stark. You couldn't ask for a better Iron Man. This was by far one of the best movies based on a Comic Book. Also if you don't stay past the credits you are missing a really cool scene.

There's lots of action from beginning to end. The performances are good, if not great. Special effects are top notch. The story is interesting, with a moral struggle, corporate greed, and a love interest. No real surprises, but a good straight-ahead plot.
I took my kids, aged 9 and 12 to see this, and there were a couple of scenes that were maybe not entirely appropriate for a 9 year old. There are some adult situations and some cruel violence.

Solid film... I had my doubts about Robert Downey Jr being an action hero, but he pulled it off. John Favreau did an excellent job directing the cast and used a minimal amount of CGI... which I appreciate.
