Thank you to Jon Favreau, Robert Downey, Jr, Terrence Howard, and Gwyneth Paltrow for a refreshing action movie. Character's were developed very well to hold interest throughout, and the plot has some interesting twists. The overall subject matter brings social responsibility back to the fore in film without heavy-handedness...superheros are needed in current times, so this is a perfect escapist movie balanced with a bit of gravitas.

Great start to the summer movie line up. Jon Favreau did an outstanding job putting together a great film for fans of this comic book giant. Robert Downey Jr. commanded this role and his life is more than on track. When I first heard about him getting this role I was worried but those worries are laid to rest. Now I can only wait for the further adventures of IRON MAN!

This is honestly the only movie I have ever reviewed. I do so only to pass on how unbelievably awe struck I was at this film! It is funny without being raunchy, touching without corniness, and action packed without over stimulation to the senses. I will see it again for sure in the theatres and it will be purchased the Tuesday it becomes available on DVD NO DOUBT!

I really didn't know what to expect in this movie. It was a ton of action and it kept moving, there wasn't any slow spots and it didn't drag.

Iron Man was excellent. Robert Downey Jr. did a fabulous job of playing a self-centered entrepreneur who gains some compassion the hard way. The movie is riveting from the very beginning but also had some comic relief.

Movie was much better than expected. Critical reviews take themselves too seriously - which the movie does not. Welcome Back Robert Downey Jr.! Gwyneth looked hot at times and seemed to enjoy herself. Deftly directed by Favreau - the movie is funny, full of action, and satisfying for a first-in-a-series action flix. Can't wait to see what they do with the next one.

Movie was long and had some scenes not appropriate for the 7 year olds I took to see it. It is much more sutited to the teenage crowd. I did like the movie and will see the next one when it comes out. Just didn't make me ouh and awh.

Went to the movie mainly for the 10 and 15 year olds but liked it much more than I thought I would.
This is one movie the trailer does not do justice.
This is NOT a campy superhero movie, rather a pretty good plot without the superhero aspect, but when you add the notion of the iron man technology to the plot the movie just gets better.

The Good: A few laughs (intentional), good acting, a few exciting action sequences.
The Bad: Shies away from many of the issues it seems as though it might address given the serious beginning, predictable plot turns (even to someone unfamiliar with the canon, such as myself), occasionally abysmal dialogue, undeveloped character relationships, ultimately glorifies the very thing the protagonist claims to be newly turned against.
Overall, worth renting, not worth seeing in the theater.

I thought that the movie was well put together for young and old, comic readers as well as those who would have never read a comic and for all ages. The the lenght of the movie was just right and Robert Downey Jr. looks to have really enjoyed his role. It was great to see an unexpected whole new image of Jeff Bridges as well. I enjoyed that they let Robert add his old ways of humor as well. Look forward to the sequel. Difinitely worth the price of admission! This is one movie that you should not base whetehr to go or noth due to reviews. I felt that the first critics I read on were well off and misleading.

Great Movie & Story Line. My whole family of 6 enjoyed it (age range 51, 42, 19, 17, 14, 9). Movie length not to long or boring in any scene. Keeps your interest throughout the whole movie. Can't wait to see how they do part 2 after revealing his true identity. Great Movie! Planning to see it again next weekend.

I liked the action. Robert Downey added just the right touch of comedic humor. Beau Bridges did a great job as the bad guy. I was totally surprised by that. Well worth watching. I can't wait for this to come out on DVD.

Robert Downey Jr. was great the story was written well but I don't remember Tony Stark being funny the humor brought life to the movie, who knew Jeff Bridges could be so evil, and Gwyneth lovely as ever. they really kept with the comic books little change but in a good way. Finally a movie that makes up for the horrible comic movies that have been released (Fantastic 4, Punisher, Hulk). I didn't give it 5 Stars because the character Iron Man is not as popular as Spiderman, Batman, or X-men. The movie was well written. No cheesy scenes. The amount of comic relief was excellent and Robert Downy was amazing. You will like Downy and Iron Man when the movie is over. Lastly, stay for the credits to watch a bonus scene.

This is by far the best Marvel Comic film yet. Kind of how Spiderman 1 was when it came out. Iron Man blows it away. Spectacular acting by Downey Jr. G. Paltrow is absolutely gorgeous and Jeff Bridges does a great job as well. Not a boring moment through out the entire movie. Hopefully it does become a franchise.

Fantastic movie. It was well written and full of great moments. Even the cheesiest of lines were well delivered. The actors in this movie do a great job. It was a very short two hours. I loved it and would recommend it to anyone who is considering it.

Action, plot twists, love interest, tech, Marvel, great acting, what else could you ask for? One of the better comic book movies I have seen. Nice to watch someone that is not a tourtured soul burdened with his special powers. No, this is a hero who loves being a hero. See it, enjoy it, you might even believe it!
