Fabulous! Funny and riveting! Want to see it again and again on the big screen.
Just in time to convince you that they can make a movie about our favorite comic icons, comes Robert Downey Jr., who will have to suffer the rest of his life being Tony Stark, and those other characters he played in some other movie. He's great in this role.
It captured the essence of Marvel stories- the superhero was not what the story was about. The stories were about a person and what happens when circumstances force them to be more than they were. Iron Man answers this.
Go, enjoy this and make sure to stick around for the end of the credits.

What a great movie! It had me on the edge of my seat. It proves that you don't have to have blood and bad language for a movie to be enjoyed. I went with my teenage son who also thought it was great. Robert Downey Jr. is fantastic as Iron Man, but the rest of the cast was just as great.

Overall, I enjoyed this movie. I was able to see it in HD. I think that this feature added to the quality enjoyment. I feel the technology featured in the film kept the pace moving at a satisfactory pace and is part of what held my attention and interest along with the plot.

It was a solid movie, that was surprisingly deep for a superhero movie. However, there were also some parts that seemed almost entirely unbelievable even for a superhero movie. Despite this it was a solid film and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes action films.

I normally don't go to movies at the theatre, because I have 4 kids and it costs a fortune. I was a big comic fan as a kid, but just thought Iron Man was "ok". With that said, I'd pay to see it again, and it is possibly the best (or one of the best) superhero movies to date. Special effects were amazing, Robert Downey Jr. was phenomenal, and the whole story was believable, while sticking as close to the original as possible. I can't wait to own it on Blu-Ray! Go see it! Stop what you're doing right now, load up the kids (or whoever) and GO. You will NOT be sorry!

As with most Marvel action movies, Iron Man presents cool visuals with non-stop action. The plot is smart, well planned and executed. This movie runs the gamut with its scenes: funny, serious, action, romance, etc.
Without giving away too many details about the movie, comic book enthusiasts and newcomers to the Marvel Universe will enjoy the visuals and story, without even knowing background story behind the Iron Man saga.
I fully recommend Iron Man for those who enjoy action movies. For those who don't, don't count this movie out - there's something for everyone.

Having never been a comic book reader, my wife and still managed to enjoy the show. I was surprised to find a theater filled with adults, no sticking floors or loud children. The digital version was astounding as was the sound. Two tickets for $30 (ordered from home) was a bit higher than I'd like to see.

As a mom of 2 children, we have watched almost every action/comic book/thriller and sci fi flick that has come out in the last 10 years. I personally enjoy them as much as the kids do. Coming from the STAR WARS era and also an 80's fanatic, this combines both for me. Robert Downey Jr. is outstanding in this role and was a perfect cast for this part and is sexier than ever.
(That's the 80's part). This movie inflicts all of the necessary Sci Fi goodness as Stan Lee wrote it, with a touch of humor and tons of action. Wonderfully directed with a very creative vision...Kudos Favreau. I was completely impressed that the story line was "complete" and really spent the time in the areas that it needed too to give the viewer the full picture.
Oh yeah, my kids thought it rocked too!

My wife and I thought this was an awesome movie. It stayed true to the original comic book, but modernized.
The artistry of the modelers, and CGI far surpassed any and all my expectations.
I think Robert Downey Jr., Terrance Howard, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jeff Bridges and the rest of the cast and crew can expect Oscar nominations.
This has the beginnings of a great series of movies. Better than X-men, and Spiderman, which I can believe I am saying.
Do not miss the film clip after the credits; any Marvel fan will be thrilled.

It draws you in and keeps you there. The action is great, Robert Downey was at his best.

Robert Downey is back!
with his last lead being a solid performance in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Downy has shown that he is an A list actor.
Great action and nice story line kept this film from being just another run-of-the-mill comic book movie.
ILM does an excellent job with the suit special effects.
I would see this film again and will probably buy it when it comes out on video
