For fans of the original show and for people that are new, this one has it all. Snappy banter, great delivery, and a beautiful and tough Anne Hathaway as 99. The film brings Control up to date and saves the world with Agents 86 and 99 leading the way. I have not laughed out loud in a film for years and the rest of the audience was laughing as well throughout the film. I have to see it again just to hear what I missed by having so much fun. Steve Carroll IS 86. It will be tough to find another role that fits so well and uses so many of his talents. Can't wait for the next one! Go see it now!
What a fun ride! This movie flies past with an exciting kaleidescope of color and fun action that doesn't stop from beginning to end.
I grew up watching the nascent anime including Astro Boy, Gigantor, and Speed Racer and really enjoyed the way the Wachowski Bros. captured the feel for the outrageous cars and fun of the original show.
It is painfully obvious the critic naysayers did not enjoy the original shows for what they were - fun! There were no heavy plotlines or very much angst - it's a cartoon for kids!
Go see this film - the entire family will enjoy the zipping fun, wonderful colors, and bigger-than-life bad guys and wacky monkey antics. I can't wait for the next one!
Fabulous! Funny and riveting! Want to see it again and again on the big screen. Just in time to convince you that they can make a movie about our favorite comic icons, comes Robert Downey Jr., who will have to suffer the rest of his life being Tony Stark, and those other characters he played in some other movie. He's great in this role. It captured the essence of Marvel stories- the superhero was not what the story was about. The stories were about a person and what happens when circumstances force them to be more than they were. Iron Man answers this. Go, enjoy this and make sure to stick around for the end of the credits.
