This is the most incredible marvel movie I've seen yet. It's the best movie I've seen this year. It's the kind of movie you'd pay to see again while it's in theatres.
It has the perfect mix of action and drama that keeps you interested without overwhelming you with either.
It also has the best Stan Lee cameo of any of the Marvel movies.

I admit, I was going in expecting a great movie. And I got it. From the time I was a child I have always loved Batman and Ironman. With Batman Begins I was in Batman heaven. Now, with Iron man, I am on Iron Man cloud nine. It was fantastic. Very well done. The effects were incredible. The story was very good. Lots of action with little funny bits. Its very good to have Marvel in control of their product. And its good to see Robert Downey, Jr, back and just as good as he always was... he IS Tony Stark. Will I see it again? Absolutely! I saw it last night (Thursday) and I will see it again with other friends on Saturday. Go see it. I command it!

I thought this movie had the right mix of action and character interaction storyline.
The use of technology we are almost in reach of in real life was excellent. I also thought that Robert Downey was perfect as Tony Stark.
I will see this again myself and will recommend it to all my friends.
I can't wait for the next Iron Man movie.

This movie is epically awesome. The cast is all phenomenal and the storyline is without a dull moment or any sappy dialogue. The CGI is all very well done, and the action sequences are incredibly. This one is the total package. From the badass MARVEL animatics to the Black Sabbath end credits, this movie kept me glued to my seat.

Saw it last night in a Sneak Preview showing. Long story short, I loved it. The running time is just right... not too long, not too short. And you won't even notice, because the movie holds your attention the whole time. The cast is excellent, with special mention for Robert Downey Jr. He was PERFECT as Tony Stark. Oh yeah... make sure you wait until the credits are over, there is a big reveal with a familiar face.

I'm a big Iron Man comic book fan and wasn't too sure about Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark but it turns out I had nothing to fear. Downey completely nailed Stark and this is one of the best superhero movies I've seen. It has just the right balance of humor, action and origin story stuff - those are what makes a movie based on a comic book good. Make sure you stay to the end though because there is a surprise after the end credits that will get comic book fans like myself completely stoked.

I have to admit, I loved the comic but had less expectations for the movie. I was so surprised. The movie was great, the cast was amazing, and the effects were just as good. Even my friend who went with me who hates Iron Man and had the gall to call him the lamest superhero was thoroughly impressed. You should definitely take the time to see it.

Where to start??? Not familiar with Marvel and their comic books? No problem, this movie required no prerequisites. While this storyline didn't follow it's birth from the comic world...there are no complaints from this fan. This movie has something for everyone. Funny,...check. Action,...check. Hot cars,...check. Chicks,...check. Talented cast,...check. Prelude to sequel,...check. If you haven't seen this yet, what are you waiting on??

This one is much better than the "normal" comic superhero movie. The humor makes it lighter, somehow. Excellent casting resulted in very believable characters, whose flaws and humanity complemented, rather than detracted, from the movie. Robert Downey, Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow were outstanding in their roles, and totally believable. Jeff Bridges was a surprisingly good "bad guy." And the lead in to S.H.I.E.L.D. left me ready for more. Great job!

Iron Man rocks the party that rocks the party. This is a superhero flick done the way superhero flicks should be. Enough of the horrible, over cheesy, stupid comic book movies a la the Spider Man set and Brett Ratner's recent abomination. A word to writers and directors of all the minutia out there; your audience is intelligent, nostalgic and willing to give you some leeway on the more fantastical aspect of the story, but only some, so reign it in a bit, don't treat us like idiots or wantonly murder our icons. Give us more superhero flicks we can get behind. GIVE US MORE IRON MAN!!!

I was raised on comic books; my husband was not. He refers to going to these movies of the comic book genre as being "dragged by my wife to see" Spiderman, Hulk, Fantastic 4, Ghost Rider, and so on. Even he thought that Iron Man was a GREAT movie.
Interwoven into this comic book movie are true character development, relevant themes, and actual acting. Robert Downey, Jr. gives the character blase acceptance of his success, philosophical conflict, and the right drive of brilliance. The hype is true: no one else could play this role with his intelligence, cynicism, or depth. Gwyneth Paltrow gives a throwaway character more substance and elegance than a Witherspoon or a Dunst could convey.
And, the suit is FANTASTIC! This is not just a CGI whirlwind (a la the transformation of Transformers). Building, testing, and getting into and out of the suit is done with such a detail that you feel you could step up on that platform.
Other mentions: You'll recognize the fellow from The Mummy; Mr. Bridges was almost unrecognizable; Terrence Howard set the stage for his closeup, Mr. DeMille; and Stan Lee's cameo is, again, priceless.

I must say that going into this movie, I was not expecting too much. However, it totally blew my expectations out of the sky, literally. It was funny at just the right moments, it had plenty of action, and Robert Downey Jr. was absolutely perfect for the role of John Stark, or Iron Man. It is a must-see for any adult between the ages of 16 and 35, and a definite must-see for any Marvel comic book fan. Don't forget to stay after the credits!!!

As a fan of Marvel comics, I had high expectations for this movie. And it delivered on all levels. The action was great, the story was amazing the VFX were incredible, I really couldn't find any major flaws in this movie. heck even my date liked it, and she hates comic books!

This is an all star cast! I have never seen a marvel movie capture so many phenomenal actors. Even a picky thespian will appreciate how Downy becomes Stark. There of course are a couple little goofy parts to the movie, like all action flicks, but overall this movie was very well executed, animation was insane!

With so many options for the casual and seasoned movie fan to choose from this summer beit iron cod pieces, black rubber cod pieces, or video games about hookers, car thieves and cop killers...Iron surely delivered the goods. Downey nailed a character that I initially was beyond his abilities. This movie suceeds where most fail. A genuinely likable flawed character with a believeable conscious. This absolutely gets two thumbs from me.

I saw this film Thursday night. As comic book movies go, its among the top two or three.
As origin stories go, it might be the best one I've seen.
Robert Downey Jr transforms into Tony Stark. He was born to play this role. He creates an iconic anti-hero as memorable as Johnny Depp's first go round as Jack Sparrow.
The supporting cast was stellar as well. I expected that from Terrence Howard and Jeff Bridges, but I was surprised at how well Gwyneth Paltrow fit the character of Pepper Potts. I like Gwyneth as an actress, but didnt quite think the part and her meshed. I was wrong.
The special effects were pretty much seamless and the script is full of snappy banter, just like Stark in the comics.
Oh and if you're a comic fan at all, you are hereby required to stay until AFTER the credits are over. There is a short scene that plays that will make the comic geeks explode in delight.

The movie was Great, I saw the first show and Love all 2hrs of it. The action was good and it didn't take long to get to the point(REMEMBER THE HULK) The Effects were Great, thanks to Lucas Films.
