Favereau Has set the bar for all future superhero movies. Let me just say that Robert Downey Jr cast as Iron Man has to be one of the best casting decisions aside from Bale as Batman.
The special effect were really good, I think using ILM was the smartest thing to do. I think they should also do the effects for the next 2 films. The character development was amazing, I felt that everyone played of each other really well.
I loved Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts. Terrence Howard was also amazing, I can't wait for War Machine! That being said IF and when they decide to make the Avengers Movies, No one, and I mean no should DIRECT this film other than the man himself Mr. John Favereau. I give the film a 5 out of 5, a 10 out of 10.

WOW!! I just watched the premier thursday night and was awstruck!! This movie grabs you and wont let go!! From start to finish Ironman has got a perfect polish from story telling to character development. It's also got just the right amount of humor to lighten up such a high-tech serious super-hero story.You dont have to read the comic to understand this movie!! A must see flick,again & again!! It's amazing! Great cast! It's a must see for guys and gals! After all it is Robert Downey Jr! Fabulous! I'm anxious to see it again! In my opinion, this puts Robert up there with Harrison Ford, and I believe that's a great place for him! I'm praying it will help him straighten out his real life. I can't hardly wait for no.2! I took my Grandson, but I'm not sure which one of us enjoyed it more. Were fighting over that one! He's 9 years old and I'm 53 years young. If your looking for entertainment, go see IRONMAN!

There hasn't been a superhero movie of this caliber since the first Spider-man! Robert Downey Jr. IS Tony Stark, and no other actor could have portrayed Iron Man better than him. The movie moved so seamlessly, I didn't even realize it was 2 hours long! I've seen this movie TWICE in the past 24 hours, it's THAT good.
If you've been waiting for something worth paying those high ticket prices, do yourself a favor and see this movie. You won't be dissapointed!

Better than I expected. Very good story line, and explains alot about Tony Stark. It is predictable, but Robert Jr. carried this movie like a true superhero. Great special effects, and definate must see.

I’ve been waiting a long time for this movie to come out, and it BLEW ME AWAY!!! Far beyond my expectations, the creators of this film hit it right on the nose. “Iron Man” is a “Real Man” hero and this film has severed the Marvel version of him well. You must see this movie many times, it is well worth it. Today is 5.2.08 and I have seen it twice already!
The only comic book hero I ever like was Iron Man! All of the others seemed to “Out There” to me. Iron Man was “Real” he didn’t have any magic or and special powers, he had an intelligent mind and money.

I can't believe how amazing this movie actually was, I loved it along with my bud. This is a definate must watch to see on the big screen. I will definately be buying this when it comes out. I can't wait till I see this again, I'll probably go see this again in theaters. I don't care but I'm definately buying this when it comes out. Both Iron Man and the Iron Monger looked sick as s**t. Hopefully theres a second that will be coming out to see War Machine on there. Everybody should really go see this movie no matter what. You definately won't be dissapointed, I guarantee it.

Great movie, goes quick for advertised length, Robert Downy Jr. made this movie so much better. He fits the character so well and he seemed so relaxed in character that the movie just flowed really well and had a good balance of everything. Action packed and worth every penny this is a movie I will see again and definetly add to my collection when available.

I have seen a lot of superhero movies. You could say I am an expert on the genre, having read over 30 years worth of comic books and seeing every single superhero movie that comes out. This quite possible is the best superhero movie EVER made. Not only did it capture the spirit of the comics, but it was a socially revelant movie about a man who remakes himself into a hero. Robert Downey Jr IS Tony Stark and does a fantastic job of protraying every aspect of this complicated character. It has plenty of tech gadgets that puts James Bond to shame and the CGI is flawless with the live-action. The Iron Man suit looks completely real. (and I want one) The only superhero movie that might have done a better job of really revealing the heart of the character than this one is Spider-Man 2. Iron Man is a roller coaster ride that never lets up, just like Tony Stark himself. Give it a chance, you will not be disappointed.

By far, the best movie I've seen this year! Robert Downey, Jr. is perfect for this role and does an outstanding job in the movie. I knew almost nothing about Iron Man before I went to this movie, but I loved it anyway. Make sure you stay and watch through the credits - there's a great cameo at the end.

At first, I had my doubts of Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, but after watching the movie I no longer doubt. He gave an outstanding performance of Tony Stark. The movie had good action, as well as some surprisingly humorous sequences. I especially liked his interaction with is robotic helpers. The supporting actors/actresses were strong and very entertaining, though Terrence Howard's character could have been written better. The bad guy was bad, lots of eye candy for the guys, and the suit was awesome. Can't wait for the sequel with War Machine(?). The the ending with Mr. Jackson as Nick Fury was cool.

Robert Downey, Jr. is perfectly cast as Tony Stark in the adaptation of Iron Man. Also, Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrance Howard and Jeff Bridges are terrific in each of their roles. The special effects are outstanding and Downey captures Stark's moral dilemna and decision to protect people brilliantly. FYI: please make sure you stay after the credits, there is an extra scene that must not be missed.

I saw Iron Man at the Thursday opening. It exceeded all my expectations. Even my date loved it and she is not a comic fan. Excellent pacing, well casted and stunning visual effects. I've been a fan of the comic from way back and it's nice to see such a well done translation to the screen.

This movie is the best Comic based movie ever, and will be for a long time. this was worth waiting in line for an hour. this movie contains; comedy, action of course. i will go again today with my lady, tomorrow with my friends. and yes on monday with other friends. i truly recommend this movie to everyone even if you don't know who IRON MAN is (for some weird reason). I work at Blockbuster and have been an avid movie-goer from a very young age. Also, I do read comics, specifically Marvel, and hopefully you will find me credible.
For me, Iron Man was extremely enjoyable. Robert Downey Jr. played a superb Tony Stark, both entertaining as well as true to the comics. Most folks I've spoken to have agreed. The CG was top-notch and the storyline was well thought-out. It was very fun to see Stark's progression into becoming Iron Man. Geeks will absolutely love this film due to it's ability to fit right along-side the greatness that the Iron Man comics possess.
If you're looking for a family-friendly film, I've got to tell you that this is a pretty good dead-on PG-13. It can get a little racey and violent at times, but what's a good superhero movie without that kind of realism?
This movie goes right up there with the first Spider-man, and has broken the superhero slum that has been created with movies like Hulk and Fantastic Four. I reccomend that you see this. I feel that most people would enjoy it, and it is worth the money you'll pay for the ticket.
Remember to stick around after the credits. Fellow comic geeks will get a great kick!

This is one of the best Comic hero movie. Robert Downey Jr brought a different type of Tony Stark but it was refreshing. I was bummed that Jarvis had to be a computer but I can get over it. The effects were great and I was hoping for more, especially against Iron Monger. I am hoping that there is a second one that introduces War Machine, I think he earned it...lol. I think Happy Hogan was jipped and I hope to see Tony provide more for SHEILD (Hey where was Nick??). Overall, this was a great movie and I highly suggest going to see it.
