I feel like the director must have been sitting around one day with the munchies and decided to make a new Charlie and the Chocolate factory movie. It was great and imaginative. I read the book and it actually was a little bit closer to the original book that I expected. But I still like the classic version of this movie better.

This one is so much better then the 1st! The Oompa-Lumpa songs are longer, and they don't start out with, "I've got a puzzle for You." They don't sing all those boring songs that you have to fast forward just to get something decent. And everybody's nicer! To me, Charlie in the old version seemed kinda like a brat. Grandpa Joe should not teach Charlie to break the rules just to have some fun, like they did in the Bubbles Soda room, and they almost got killed! Willy Wonka is funnier! I love it so much better! Go see this movie!

Johnny, Freddie and Helena are superb in this movie. The story is closer to the book then the movie with Wilder. Johnny puts a fresh look to the character of Willy Wonker. The kids will love this movie. The storyline works and is very funny. It has a great ending that will leave everyone happy. A perfect family movie.
