If I've seen a worse movie, it's been a long time.
The movie had some decent action scenes, and one scene that made me laugh, but it was poorly written, completely predictable, and, well, boring. I enjoyed the first movie, but this one was just awful.

.... of what the movie could have been. It lacks a cogent plot and the dialogue is insufferable and too sparse. The saving grace would have been the special effects scenes with the "flaming skull rider demon" front and center ....BUT there are not enough of those. Very disappointing. The writers, directors and star Nicolas Cage let us down .... while watering down the flaming legend of The Ghost Rider. Alas ... what could have (and should have) been. A flame drenched rhino horn with chain coiled around it down.

This movie was a great movie for action. The way that he struggles with the curse and finally gets his revenge for the curse. The ending was a great set up for additional features giving a lighter side to the Ghost Rider. I would recommend this movie if you are wanting something with action and with a basic story line of good verses evil.

This action packed sequel is an excellent time killer! And if you're looking for a great "B" movie to pass the night at home, then you'll most likely dig the DVD release!
However, if you are a comic-book-movie-geek like me, or a total sucker, and have to see this film on the big screen, then rest assured that Christopher Lambert the "Highlander" himself makes a guest appearance!
Not much else to say about this flic. It lacks what the first one had: a sophisticated story and a sophisticated mamacita: Eva Mendes!

I am a fan of Nicolas Cage; however he should have taken a vacation instead of making this sequel. I am a graphics freak so I did enjoy the explosions and special effects. The plot line was slim to none. Man makes bad deal with devil and avenges himself by saving boy. It would have been just as good in 2D. The actors all did their jobs; however, I didn't perceive much joy in the dialogue. Save your money and rent an older movie of Cages.

SAVE YOUR MONEY. neveldine and taylor spent most of their 10 minutes working on this movie on the awful cut scenes. they spent so much time on unneccesary moments and shifting from black and white to color and many other horrible ideas that there was no character development. i didnt even care for nicolas cage's character, and i personally think hes a great actor, but at times it was laughable what they made him do. as a favor to the american public, neveldine and taylor should never direct anything again.

Well here's the deal...my 10 year old son wanted to see the movie and he enjoyed it. As an adult it's not my cup of tea, but I wasn't completely bored either. The special effects were pretty cool and the story line was ok, but I really didn't expect much. So take a kid, they will like it.

First the special effects were pretty good. I think you will like the movie or you won't. I think their is more action in this on than the first one, but the story was better in the first one. If you do see it I would recommend a matinee.

We have been fans of the original Ghost Rider movie for years. We were looking forward to the sequel. The storyline was ok, as were the special effects. The issue was the direction. The filming flipped from color to black-and-white, from regular to slow or stop motion, from single to split screen constantly. It was distracting and failed to allow the audience to get into the story or be the least interested in the characters. We were all very disappointed. BTW - our ages are 51, 44 and 16.

They could have done so much with this and they really just didn't. I found it ridiculous to even show it in 3D as the effects didn't utilize it at all. Poorly done cut aways made the film disjointed. Not sure what they spent to make this but it came across as a very poorly put together mess.

3D gave me a headache. It was like an old drive-in "B" movie. Very disappointing, the first was much better. Cage's crazy antics were too spastic, and the story was too thin. The boy's character wasn't developed enough to care about the outcome. Too much emphasis on fire and FX and that made the movie unbalanced. A disappointing waste of time.

What ever you do, please don't waste your money on "Ghost Rider:Spirit of Vengeance" I have no idea what Nicolas Cage and Idris Elba was thinking when they made this movie. The dialog (if you can call it that) is awful to non-existent. "Ghost Rider:Spirit of Vengeance" is the sequel to the 2007 first installment. The first one wasn't bad and made over 200 million dollars.
Johnny Blaze (Nicolas Cage) is hiding out in Eastern Europe. He struggles daily with the curse of being the devil's bounty hunter. A priest named Moreau (Idris Elba) seeks Johnny out because he needs his help to find and save a boy named Danny (Fergus Riordan) and bring him back. The problem is that Satan (Ciaran Hinds) is also looking for the boy and has a personal stake in finding him. But if Johnny can find the boy first , he might be able to save his soul as well as the boy's. The story unfolds from there...
The movie has a plot, but no substance. You are not told why Satan is looking for the boy and how it is that the priest knows Johnny. There are many incomplete scenes. You are not informed as to how something went from point A to point B. The only positive for this movie is the special effects and 3D images and that's not enough to justify spending any money on this movie.
