This is a buddy movie, but featuring the ladies. It has all the hallmarks of flix out of the Apatow stable. It is about affection, friendship, loyalty, and love. All along the way it is on raunchy, crude, profane, and vulgar. But it is consistently funny. As always for this genre, there is a sweet ending. Star and screenwriter Kristen Wiig has written a noteworthy script. A lot of fun, and very funny and enjoyable. I'll have to watch it later on DVD, since my audience drowned out some of the dialogue.

My husband and I take turns picking movies to see, and this usually results in one of us being bored for the other's movie. Not in this case!!! My husband was roaring right with me, laughing hysterically at parts that reminded us of our wedding/family/etc.
Overall, it was hilarious. Perfect for a date because there's stuff in it for each of us (whereas, while the hangover was also fantastic, there wasn't THAT much there for the female audience).

This was a truly entertaining movie! It was very comedic but, also, so many of the situations and reactions were dead-on and could definitely be appreciated by most adult female audience members. The two actresses that played the best friend/maid of honor and the sister of the groom really stole the show. The dialogue just rolled easily and lines contained spontaneous humor that moved you from start to finish and wanting to see more. I recommend it!

I think this movie could have been shaved down at least 30 minutes as it did drag in some parts. I giggled a little -- in no way was it a gut buster. I went to this movie expecting the worst, as I usually do with movies in the comedy genre. However, I was painfully surprised. I left the theater with my chest in pain from all the laughter. OMG, I can't believe I saw the same movie as all of these glowing comments from others. If I had attended the film thikning it was a drama I might not have been so disappointed. Although there were a few laughs, it was no comedy and instead a tragedy. It was very draggy and long between laughs whereas I expected to laugh all the way through. There was music missing where there should have been something to create the mood. And, there were too many talking heads...words of no consequence to the story line and no action. I wouldn't even recommend anyone to rent this movie. Save your money. VERY disappointing.

This is now my favorite movie this year. Not since Superbad have I laughed so hard. This a chick flick I'm a Guy went to see it alone and laughed so hard I cried. Everyone needs a really good laugh and especially a good laugh that lasts two hours. This all star cast of women comedians hit a comedy home run. It also wickedly got me choked up with some heartfelt dramatic moments. This is a movie that women and men can really enjoy. There are absurd, clever, and cheap jokes that should appeal to a great sense of humor. Judd Apatow, you have done it again. The women are a great mix and execute each comedic moment with precision. I had no idea the movie was over two hours. When it ended, I only wanted more.

My Bridesmaids and I went to watch this movie, expecting a good time. We had the time of our lives.. We totally needed a movie like this one. I give it two thumbs up.. A must buy movie...

My wife and I thought it was a very funny movie. Going in we thought it would be a "Hangover" type bachelorette flick but it's not. It pretty much follows the Maid of Honor's venture through the whole marriage process of her best friend. The main character played by Kristen Wiig was the best, did not know much about her but this is definitely a break-out role for her. Overall, I would recommend paying to go see this in the theatre, this coming from a married 32 yr old man....
