While I sat at the theater watching this close to edge-of-your-seat excitement flick I couldn't help but realize that we are in for a number of sequels, and I actually welcome them.
In the teen film genre this film felt Twilightish and I'm sure it will have a similar following without the need to devour a book first - or is there a book series out for this?
I think a 3D sequel is to be expected, and will be quite welcomed, and maybe another super hot heroin for the film as well.
If you're looking for a fun time in 3D (IMAX) this is definitely going to be worth the time.
The storyline is very sad, and the movie's idea will keep you on edge through most of the film - a couple of times I almost felt like crying, but held out.
The acting isn't the best, but I think there's a reason why the actors here are not DeNiro or others. The movie would have sucked with top list actors - they try to hard to be bombastic.
Go watch this movie. Keep the kids at home - not something for anyone under 17.
