I love going to these Rifftrax events. It was such a great idea, and I've been to all three. They've been equally enjoyable and I find myself laughing consistently throughout the two hours. This one was really funny, and I also enjoyed the shorts. There was a weird cartoon which I didn't find very funny, but the rest of the evening was so enjoyable it didn't matter. I reccommend this to anyone who enjoys MST3K humor!

It was great fun. The riffing is definitely up to par. I plan to go to October's show. I liked this group of shorts, too. (I didn't "need" the old cartoon--it's my least favorite each time.) I've been to all 3 events now (there have been only 3, right?) I liked the music being played while waiting for the show to start. I had the impression the audio was slightly off-sync with the video.
I really liked the first event where we got to see Jonathon Coulton. I'd never heard of him before, and now we play two of his songs on Rockband and i've subscribed to his podcasts. I looked forward to seeing Weird Al, but his involvement was so minor that it was kind of a let-down.
Based on the info on your Rifftrax site, I submitted my proof of purchase, so to speak, and expected a winner to be announced at the show and an iPad given out, but there was no "live" person and no mention of the Rifftrax iPad. What happened there?
I would like to see this show available on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday too if possible. That way my husband could go.

The RiffTraxx team was in top form for this live event. Like some other reviewers, I was a little confused by the addition of the animated shorts sans riffing but those shorts were a) short, and b) kind of funny, so they get a pass. I'm looking forward to the next live event in October.

I'm a huge MST3K fan and i love Rifftrax so this was a instant must see when i seen the trailer for this event. It was fun watching them Riff Live (kinda it was a pre-recording of the actual live show) but the film shorts where great (The Grass!!!!) and everybody had a great time laughing the entire time. the only thing people where confused about where the animated shorts but i guess their was more Rifftrax fans in the theater then Something Awful fans. but it's ok not a lot of people get that type of humor. But I'm now waiting for the 28th of October to see them Riff the movie House on Haunted Hill. I know i will be getting my tickets in advance.I recommend you do the same too.

I was a huge MST3K fan growing up and I still love collecting them and watching them all the time. So as soon as I heard about this live show, I was all over it. The shorts were great, the movie was great, and the guys were, of course, hilarious! I will absolutely be watching out for more of these shows, and I'll be one of the first to buy tickets for the House on Haunted Hill show. By far one of the funniest things I have ever watched in my life!

This was my favorite of the 3. i liked the fact that it was just them this time. i dont think weird al or the other singing guy added anything to the show. It was just them and excellent riffing

Last summer, Rifftrax Live's Plan 9 From Outer Space was one of the moviegoing highlights of my summer. Instead of just giving us a live rendition of the movie, Rifftrax went above and beyond with two songs from Jonathan Coulton, some shorts, and then of course the movie proper.
With REEFER MADNESS, the group had a bit more of a challenge ahead of them: the film itself - or at least, the version that they had the rights to screen - is only 66 minutes. And with no host or performances this time out, I wondered going in if the performance would leave me wanting.
Fortunately, the guys riffed on three distinct, bizarre shorts, as well as some cute originals for a guy from Something Awful. And then of course the movie itself. REEFER MADNESS is more bad-bad than good-bad, but as always, it was amazing and hilarious to watch these three guys apply their biting, hilarious, and singular sense of humor to such a ridiculous film.
So in sum, not as good as PLAN 9, but well worth my time and ticket price. These guys just put on a good show. At REEFER, they announced a Halloween show, and I could not be more excited.
