Enjoyed all three bands. Did not know first band Gogol Bordello but i still really enjoyed it. Deffinately enjoyed myself but also would have enjoyed it with out the 3D effects, just the concert on the big screen alone was entertaining enough.

Gogol Bordello - AWESOME ENERGY. If you only came to see the cliche DMB then you probably would not enjoy Gogol. If you LOVE REAL GLOBAL MUSIC, then you'd enjoy Gogol. 2nd BAND... AWESOME. Ben Harper is a prophet. MUCH, MUCH TOO SHORT. DMB... I don't want to waste my time on him... you either follow him or you don't. I am sure the mass of mindless followers will take this as a jab.... MUSICALLY GIFTED is DM, just too commercial. I would see the first hour of the film again.

Awesome! I had never hear of the opening band and in my opinion wish I could go back to not knowing them. The only good thing was the energy they put out. The music was decent, but the lyrics ruined any chance of enjoying them. I still have no clue what language they were speaking. Ben Harper was great as usual. Dave rocked the house, as always. I usually can only afford the cheap seats, so it was a treat to feel like you were on the stage. The close-ups were great.

I've never been a huge fan of watching a concert unless I was at the event itself, but this was the first time I had seen it on the big screen and in 3D no less. Simply fantastic! 3D technology has vastly improved since the days of Captain Eos and I am excited to see more features filmed in this manner. The concert itself was great. All three bands were excellent choices for this film. I just wish it had been longer.

I am definately a DMB fan and decided to surprise a friend that is also a huge fan by bringing her. We had so much fun dancing like we were actually at a show. The 3D effects were really good. Definately got us in the mood for 2010 DMB tour which we usually go to at least a couple shows. Was a great way to be taken away for a short time. :-) :-)

Great to see the guys up close and personal and in 3D...felt like I was on the stage with them at times. Amazing performance by Dave and the rest of the band. Opening acts were interesting, but I never really go to a concert for the opening act anyway. Tough bill to fill when you are opening for DMB because no matter how hard you rock, it will seem insignificant to what DMB brings to the stage.

First 3D Movie viewed...AWESOME! Like being at the concert without the cost of a concert, without the lines of a concert.
Dave was spectacular, five stars for his ability to be the music...Dave lets go and his musical talent seeps from every pore in his body. He loses himself in the music and takes you with him.
The opening band was some kind of rock polka...watching them was like eating some kind of foreign food. Different, and not so sure about it...however, they rock hard and they are so into their music they make you a believer. Extremely entertaining stage presence..who would of thought..Rock Polka!
For a Larger Than Life night out, go see Dave Matthew's in 3-D!

This was an absolutely fun movie to see. The 3D effect was ok but not necessary to enjoy the show. Good song selection and great voice quality. The boys in DMB are incredible musicians and this flick just reminded me why I keep going back for more!!! Ben Harper's performance was a little dull! Another performance/er from the Austin City Limits might have been a better choice to keep the show rocking.

Great way to promote the new album. Why on Earth was that 1st band even included in the movie...should've just been Ben Harper and DMB. Would've given 5 stars if they were left out of the film. The digital 3D effects rocked as well!

As a concert goer there to see Dave at Austin City Limits 2009, I tell you from experience A LOT of his set was cut from this movie. Gogol Bordello?? What was that?? It looked like Borat and a couple of hookers on stage spewing incomprehensible garbage! Ben Harper's music is great but the guys energy on stage was like watching him on valium! Overall, this should've been about DMB! Now if this would've been DMB & Pearl Jam?? 5 stars!!!

Wow! It was amazing! It's experiencing a concert like you never could in real life. All of the performances were fantastic and the sound was great. I'm not even a big DMB fan, but it showcases all the musicians' talent and energy. I was shocked at how few people attended the 7:15 pm show. I'm telling all my friends to go - no one has heard of it. I found out about it on Facebook - it certainly needs to be advertised more!

Gogol Bordello opens performing an incomprehensible set that'll make you want to pour gasoline into your ears & light them on fire. Ben Harper & company are talented, but you'd think The Doodle Bops were fantastic after suffering through Gogol. Harper comes across like he needs a Red Bull... sedate & unenthusiastic. His drummer needs a longer shirt to cover his Relentless7 stomach folds too. DMB emerges just as you are pondering a trip to the bathroom. They'll make you smile from smoldering ear to ear & make the price of the ticket & initial suffering worth it. So the show starts out poor, but ends well. Run for the exit right after DMB is done. Gogol returns in the credits!

I agree with some of the reviews I have read on here that this movie was good, but not excellent. I did enjoy Ben Harper's set list. But I felt like the 3D effect was more pronounced and enjoyable during Ben Harper's set and not so much throughout DMB's set. Of course, I am always in the mood to watch DMB perform so that was appealing all the same. But I was disappointed with mediocre 3D effects that were used for DMB's performance in comparison to what was viewed moments earlier for Ben Harper. Was worth the money because I am a die-hard DMB fan, but I am not sure other less obsessed fans would be willing to pay that much for such a short movie. Hoping DMB will make another, improved 3D movie and release on BluRay ASAP. Love you guys!

I hadnt gotten my 3d glasses right away and should have waited until the first band had finished. SCAREY! Was that Fook Yu and Fook Me from the Austin Powers movie? :)
The 3d camera angles were not the most complimentary for the drummer with Ben Harper.
But Dave was great! I was starting to go through DMB withdrawels from the summer. The band always seems to have so much fun. I agree with others in that I missed not being able to sing and dance. I hope they DO decide to release this on DVD, 'cause I'd buy it.

We went to this with a group of Dave fans like myself. As long as we have all been going to Dave shows it has been a standing joke about how bad the opening acts are (usually). This movie is no exception. The first act did nothing but make us laugh becuase it was so rediculous. At least they only played a couple of songs I guess. Ben Harper played a great set and it seemed like the 3D was better durring Harpers performance than it was when Dave was playing. The Dave show was great as always but the song selection was interesting to me. I know they have a new CD out but I was hoping to hear at least a handful of older songs.
3D effects were pretty good in all....

The first act, Gogo Bordello the two songs shown didn't do much for me and could barely understand lyrics, though the song they played during the crawl did. Also, not the best performance I've seen of Ben Harper and Relentless7 . Go figure, it's kind of hard to up stage the Dave Matthews Band, really tight and good musicianship.
I hope that it was a so-so director choice and not Dave Matthew's decision to show what appeared to me as substandard selections by the warm up acts for fear of being outdone.
I did like the Dave Mathew's Band performance. The 3-D effects are good but still need serious work. Too much cardboard put up affect at times.

This movie was a mash of 3 different performers at different locations. The first two performers were ok, and of course, DMB was wonderful. But, I was disappointed with how the movie was put together - kind of as an afterthought. I was also disappointed with the 3D experience. It was cool, but not awesome. Loved the music, but wish it had been totally devoted to DMB.

All the best features of a Dave concert, and none of the negatives, like loud drunks. The 3D was really cool, and you could really see everybody - like being right up front. The song selection was really good too. We had a very small audience, so I missed singing along, and dancing!

This was fantastic! I love going to concerts but hate the crowds, the pushing, shoving, etc. and having to settle for a seat that lets you only really see the performers up close on a monitor or large screen. I felt like I was front row center. All of the great aspects of a concert and none of the bad ones! I would absolutely recommend this and would go to more of these. Wish they were full length concerts!!

let me start off by saying that i went to see this just for dmb and the others were just a bonus. i will say that i was a little dissapointed in ben harper, was hoping for him to be better... and although i didn't know the first band, and couldn't understand a word they said, i still enjoyed their performance for some reason. good energy and the crowd was in good form too! the 3d was cool, but not nearly as good as a movie made for 3d. still enjoyed it though. i definately wish it would have been a little longer though. i mean they have the footage, it's a concert, and it cost $11 bucks. a lot of movies these days are 1:45 to 2:30 hrs long, and this was only 1:25... just saying.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
