As a concert goer there to see Dave at Austin City Limits 2009, I tell you from experience A LOT of his set was cut from this movie. Gogol Bordello?? What was that?? It looked like Borat and a couple of hookers on stage spewing incomprehensible garbage! Ben Harper's music is great but the guys energy on stage was like watching him on valium! Overall, this should've been about DMB! Now if this would've been DMB & Pearl Jam?? 5 stars!!!
I'm sorry but this reminded me of Luke Skywalker going to rescue the Princess Leah from the evil Jabba. Liam sort of reprises the role of an indestructible jedi knight on a quest for justice through vengeance. Hollywood is out of ideas and churning out remakes, super hero movies, or variations on a theme (like this movie). Liam Neeson is a fine actor and while he did a fine job in this boring movie, I felt the role was beneath him as an artist.
A Fine Woody Allen film. I enjoyed the chemistry the characters had with each other. The comedy, romance, & overall plot complemented each other like a fine wine and cheese, milk and cookies, you name it. I look forward to this one on DVD.
