Inspiring, riveting , bittersweet. MJ looked happy, confident and exuberant. I was in awe that this 50 year old could out dance someone half his age, and his voice was still as pure and strong as in his youth. I found myself jamming with him one minute - then struck with profound sadness and in tears the next. Many will watch and truly mourn the loss of this MAN: A humanitarian, a father, and a human being that despite fame and riches probably led more of a lonely, tortured life than we can possibly fathom. My wish is that this production causes all of us to examine our lives as part of a greater whole. Let his legacy leave lasting, positive memories, and hope for humanity. That's all we can hope for at this point. RIP MJ.

The sound and picture of the IMAX just added the finishing touches to a brilliantly done documentary. The film does a great job of showing Michael's genius both in his skill and creativity. I only wish that at least one real show could have been performed; the film leaves little doubt that it would have been the greatest concert experience ever. This is a must see for anyone even remotely a fan of MJ or a fan of music in general. Will certainly be getting this as soon as it comes out on blu-ray.

This documentary was unbelievably moving and left me totally speechless in the end. I wish we, the public, had been able to see before now, exactly how much time, work and love M.J. put into every rehearsal performance. If so, we may have given him a much bigger "break" in understanding his life and passions. A must see by all who want to understand what Michael Jackson was really all about.

This is a wonderful tribute to a man who changed music and entertainment. We get a rare glimpse into his genius and creative process... as well as hear and see all of the great music we grew up with! They don't mention his death at all; instead, they focus on the beauty of what was/would've been one of his last great works. It was mesmerizing!

This was for the true fans of Michael I was in a room full of them watching the master at work. He was simply the best at what he did which is entertain and make people happy. His voice was beautiful and the moves were awesome its like he never stopped performing I mean at that age and to have not been in the spotlight for so long and he's creating that kind of magic UNBELIEVABLE! It would have been the greatest concert ever done just glad I got a glimpse of it. If you haven't seen it please go before its gone you won't regret it.

So worth the effort to see it. One can clearly hear & see that Michael still had the magic. Being that these are rehearsals, and since entertainers must preserve their energy and voices for actual performance, it is sometimes frustrating to see the framework for these amazing routines and know that we will forever long to have had the opportunity to witness the final result which, without doubt, would have been exceptional.

Oh my! I became teary-eyed at the onset. The excitement of being able to experience MJ as up-close as those who worked with him on this tour was vividly demonstrated in the opening of the movie. How bittersweet! I choked up several times with the flashes of the past--and the illustration of other personalities now gone was almost as eery as the 'Thriller' segment. “This Is It,” a fitting end to the most magnificent, talented musician, singer and performer ever. I watched this in the IMAX format which had amazing sound and visuals. Watch this closely, at 50 years old MJ is a step ahead of his dancers in every scene. For me, this documentary style movie proves once and for all that Michael was a wonderful, talented human. With a 19 hour day and a 30 minute drive to watch the late night IMax showing, I hoped the show would be worth for my efforts.
I've watched singers in comeback performances. With the most recent one, I cringed at how obviously efforting it was and how the performer's voice quality was no longer exceptional or even close to what it used to be. Just listening to a 2+ minute song when this was the case, I prayed for it to be over.
From the beginning of "This Is It" through the end credits I was riveted, alert and smiling.
MJ was EFFORTLESS and fully current. Commanding in dance. Stunning in song. Gifted in directing. Awesome in choreographing.
MJ left the world a motivational, impact-full, final parting gift.

Wonderful! I was not disappointed in the content but if had been an another hour I would have still been mismerized by the humanity exposed. Great job Ortega! My adult life was defined by his music and my children were also inspired by him. It's still hard to accept that he's gone but this movie leaves such a warm memory versus the press information we've been bombarded with over the last several months. This movie gave us all a little closure. MJ was still as sexy as ever, leaving me to blush at some of his dance moves like I did back in the 80s. Watching him direct and inspire everyone around him to their best work was a revelation. It is awesome to see the numbers behind the scenes who made his shows a reality. At the center of course is Michael, directing, creating, and inspiring all. This is not a film for gossip mongers who ghoulishly wait in the wings for the "underside" so often written in the tabloids. This film is a true tribute and serves as a memorial service for those of us who could not be in L.A. for the service held in honor of Michael.

Michael Jackson's This Is It gives his fans a chance to see his last concert performance. Michael is the master at work. The King of Pop. We get to see the real Michael Jackson, who lovingly directs his crew. He tells the guitarist at one point "This is your time to shine" I love this man. There will never be another Michael Jackson! His legend will live on.

His voice was close to perfect...any more perfect & you'd think it was dubbed. He still had funk oozing out of his pores with his incredible dancing. His kind, gentle soul shines through each time he corrects a member of his cast. Anyone who wants to see the real man behind the mystery should see this. Ortega did an amazing job putting it together.

This movie is incredible in IMAX...I've been a long time fan of MJ and this does not disappoint. He says he is 'saving his voice' for the real concerts but he sounds and dances incredibly, like he did many years ago...He lifted my spirit during the whole movie and had me dancing and singing in my seat...Reality hit as he was singing 'Man in the Mirror' and I cried, realizing that this special gift was taken from us for the stupidest reasons...But do not miss MJ, the legend and greatest ever, in IMAX, you will be moved by his magic.....
