WOW!!! I never understood how incredibly talented Michael Jackson was. He wasn't just a singer or performing artist, he was a phenomenon! He controlled every aspect of the stage production, and understood the importance of timing, movement, sound modulation and theatre. This film demonstrates that documentaries can be exciting and really fulfilling. Kudos' to Ortega. Too bad the dream was never realized. We all lost out. See this in IMAX if you want the full experience. I can't wait till this comes out on DVD. I took my 18 year old son and we danced and sang along in our seats through the full 2 hours. Don't miss this on the big screen. Worth way more then the money I spent.

The movie is simply rehearsal footage of the planned concerts but it is so riveting. It makes you really think hard about the real MJ and his life. I wonder if we will ever know the real truth about him. The most noticeable thing is that you can clearly see how MJ’s music is intricately part of his personality. Every physical movement he makes oozes rhythm. When it comes to music, he is a genius of Einstein proportion and I doubt if we will ever see someone of this level of musical talent in our lifetime.

Wow. This movie really reflected the passion, talent and precision this man had for music and dance. It was an unbelievable movie. He seemed to bring out the best in those working with him. I am extremely happy I did not forego the IMAX experience -- no regrets there. I was determined to make this viewing all it could be for me, and... it was! The movie itself provided moments of sadness and joy. All during the various scenes, while enjoying the vocals, music, and stage set-ups, I kept realizing that we'd lost Jackson and would never see him in concert ever again. This, I'm sure is what most loyal MJ fans felt, but for those who took it up a notch and went for IMAX, there's no comparing to the exceptional quality of sounds -- feeling the music through my seat/floor -- appreciating Jackson, for the last time, so clearly on the large clear picture of the mega screen. Phenomenal!

The first half of the movie was really good - a lot of great songs with good footage. The second half seemed to drag, though I'm not sure if that was because the movie was too long or if it was because of the song choices and footage. It was still worth seeing. Really highlights how Michael Jackson had a vision in his mind about the music (and the concert) and that he had amazing talent. What an unbelievable concert it would have been!

My kids and I saw "This Is It" at the IMAX theater and are grateful we chose that venue. After viewing this Movie in I-Max I do not care to know how it looked on the regular screen. I-Max allowed one to get a real close up on Michael Jackson. I was able to see that he was really singing and NOT lip sinking. He was as energized as in his younger years and would have been able to perform all 50 shows in London then come to the US and perform 50 more. He looked like he was happy and having lot's of FUN. Michael Jackson will forever be missed and I THANK HIM for leaving us with Great music that could have only come from Michael Jackson himself. A must see movie for all, in I-Max style ONLY. You will not regret it.

Saw the movie yesterday afternoon in IMAX and loved every minute. I was surprised as how much energy Michael had and at age 50 was at his top during the rehearsals. This would have been a great concert had he lived. 50 concerts seems a lot for him to do but watching him rehearse it was probably possible. We'll never know. I loved all the music that was selected and the videos in IMAX were stunning. No doubt that the DVD and Blu Ray will be released soon. Hope there is more scenes as I wish the movie had been longer by maybe 30 minutes as there was over 100 hours of video shot. If you liked his music this is a must see for all and maybe a second screening will be good too.

Wow! As a longtime MJ fan, this was IT! This is a must see for the entire family. My family went and we all thought it was just fabulous! The singing, dancing, direction, use of video, imagination, etc was outstanding.
For those who thought MJ was less than his stellar self, you will be proved wrong. He was at his best! His love for the planet, life, respect for all shines! What a blessing that this was captured in a movie. I would have not been able to see him live in London, so I am so grateful that we all can see him do what he does best, perform!
MJ may you rest in peace with the angels! Thank you for your gift of music, dance, and kindness to mankind.
Can't wait for the video to be released. This is a keeper.

A true cinematic experience...I highly recommend watching this one in IMAX. The visual and aural IMAX enhancements are noticeable and spectacular. This movie not only showed the musical, dancing and entertaining genius that was Michael Jackson, but it was also a very well produced and directed movie/documentary. It was also very revealing and refreshing to get a behind the scenes look at the life of MJ, and actually see him speaking and interacting as a "normal" person, and not the affected, introverted odd performer we've been exposed to through the media. Bitterwsweet to see and hear a true talent taken away far too soon and while obviously still in his prime. Whether a Michael Jackson fan or not, this is one not to miss.

This movie was absolutely incredible. The Imax experience added to it 100%. It was very bittersweet seeing how MJ was still just as good as he was years ago. This could have been the comeback he wanted and needed to get everything back. This documentary was brilliant and very well done. It never could have been better. The sound was amazing and it showed how MJ's performances would have been had he been able to go through with the tour. This movie is something every Michael Jackson fan needs to watch. I love how the movie showed him singing every one of his most popular songs. That was the best part for me because it was like he actually got to go through with his final tour. A must see for anyone.
