I can not express how thankful I am to the makers of this movie for giving us one last glimpse at how incredible Michael Jackson was as an entertainer. "This is It" would have been an AWESOME production. I was quite emotional at times realizing that I was watching MJ's final days. I made my husband take me to this movie. He was absolutely impressed with what a perfectionist MJ was when putting together the material for his concert, and also for his incredible talent for being able to see things "out of the box" as the audience sees and more importantly feels when watching his performances. MJ was blessed with the gift to entertain and with an immeasurable talent. I look forward to seeing this again.

It's a good movie and a must-see if you're a diehard MJ fan, but I think most people would be satisfied watching this on a small screen. The quality of the rehearsal footage that makes up 90% of the movie isn't high enough to justify IMAX. It was great to see MJ rehearse and how he conducted himself, but he's definitely not in his prime and I think most would be fine picking this up from Blockbuster or buying it as a Christmas gift.

Before seeing this movie I had really wanted to see the concert at the O2, now I want to see it even more. It's too bad that MJ wasn't able to put it on, it would have been the best concert ever.
For my taste, the movie was a bit too short. I really wanted to see the Billie Jean outfit (which was mentioned but not shown) and know what song the chandelier was for. Also, I think it would be awesome if they put on and recorded the show w/out MJ, just so we, the fans, could see what it would have been like (well, it would have been more amazing than that, but still).

Having been a fan before, I came out with an even greater understanding of his genius and talent. I am so thankful that we got to see this side to him that we had never seen before. My hope is that his kindness, professionalism and dedication will be seen by a greater number of people who will come to love this Michael for who he was as an entertainer. 'This is It' shows the creativity and energy it takes to put on a world class stage production. Michael Jackson's life long quest to perform and entertain at a level above all others is apparent throughout. The visual effects and choreography assembled for this show were incredible. The chemistry between Jackson and Kenny Ortega, the concert series producer, is evident from the start. Ortega knew how to manage Jackson and make Jackson’s vision a reality on stage. Most surprising was the range in Jackson's voice at the age of 50 -- still incredibly strong. The only downside to the documentary was the abrupt end, where only pieces of performances of 'Man in the Mirror' were played. As with Jackson's life, you left wanting more of his art.

A fabulous insight on an incredibly talented man. It is easy to forget the tremendous amount of effort that must go into a musical production. This film reminds us of that and also shows how amazingly talented Michael Jackson was. Absolutely amazing production that was about to take place and this is a wonderful memorial to him. I dragged my husband there and he came out totally impressed with MJ as an entertainer and a person.

I purchased tickets awhile back for my teenage daughter and decided to go along with her, I am so happy I did. This movie was such a great tribute to the music and dancing of Michael Jackson that I enjoyed very much. I told alot of people that if there is at least one song that you liked from Michael then you really need to go and see this movie. I highly recommend it and I am even going to see it again soon. First of all I've always loved Michael, he was like my kid brother as we were growing up. His talent and genius can never be questioned in my opinion. If you want to see his genious at work, go see this movie, if you want to embrace Michael and say your good-byes, go see this movie, if you just want to feel like dancing to his music again, go see this movie, you won't regret a minute of it.
This movie gave him back to us all in a way I'd never had a chance to see him work before, and I'm grateful for that opportunity. The world has lost a great entertainer and humanitarian. I shall miss him greatly.He simply was the "King of Pop"!

I still cannot believe the experience that I was privy to. This was beyond being a fan. The ability to see such a perfectionist at work, honing his craft. To see the interaction between him, the dancers and the band was such a privilege. I cried throughout the whole movie, laughed but I was never truly sad because the legacy that he has left will stay with me forever just as his music has touched me since early childhood. I want to preface this by saying that going in, my expectations were SKY HIGH. Let me just say that all of my expectations were met...and then some. I was worried that the film would turn into a sappy melodrama discussing how those involved in the production of "This Is It" couldn't believe they were in MJ's final moments; this was not the case. The film showcased the GREATEST ENTERTAINER of all time in what would have been the most AMAZING STAGE SHOW EVER ASSEMBLED. Everyone who enjoys live music, MJ, or amazing performances should see this film for the quality of the musicality, the amazing dancing and the insight into the creative process of premier entertainer.

First impression was WOW! You never think about just how much work went into making one of those kinds of concerts. It is truly a shame that they never got to do one concert all the way through, full dress and all of the props. It would have been magnificent! I appreciated them sharing with us the use of the tractor. I would like to see a visualization of the full stage set up. I didn't understand where the girls that were chandoliers were going to be used. MJ worked hard on this project. Maybe I don't agree with some of his life choices but he was a great artist and will be greatly missed.

This movie was incredible, it proved to me what Ive known for a long time, MJ was an incredible talent. Even at 50 he still moves like he was 25. It was sad to see what an incredible show the world is missing out on. It was well put together and my heart goes out to the dancers and singers who, you can tell admired him and were in complete awe at the prospect of dancing and singing beside him.

The movie was fantastic! It was all about his rehearsals coming up to his final concert and how hard he worked himself and his staff. He was certainly a powerful individual - talented in the extreme and well loved throughout the world. I was a little disappointed that I didn't get more of a "concert" feel out of the movie. Perhaps they're saving that for the next movie? All in all, if you're a fan, you're going to love it! See it on IMAX! You won't be sorry!

Too many people wanted to judge him unfairly. He was the best in the business and this movie proves it. He had compassion, love for people and the earth. He was a special talent we will never have again. It is a shame the way he was treated by the mainstream media. His childhood was not an easy one as most of us in the 60s and 70s endured physical pain. MJ was without a doubt a perfectionist in every sense of the word. I will miss him!

Wow.....what an incredibly talented man! For two hours , you were able to forget about all the controversy and rumours in his life and truly appreciate the talent he is. And this should quiet all the naysayers who said he could not pull this show off. His dancing was right there with his younger dance cast and his vocals were awesome. I grew up as a serious Michael Jackson fan and have always loved his music, performances, and energy. This movie captures him during such an amazing process and shows his personality, drive, and determination. The recording was so well done that you forget you're watching informal footage of concert rehearsals, as opposed to a studio production. I wish this would come out on DVD so that I could own it and watch it again for many years to come.

The best movie of all times. I feel bad for not seen a concert of Michael before. It was like being there with him. See this movie in IMAX is the best experience ever. See the last preparations for the concert was amazing. His power on the scenario, his strenght, his phisical at his 49. I am amaze of the grandiosity of my Michael, This movie is a "MOST SEE" . I took my son 13 years old and he love it. I love the way I introduce to Micheal Jackson since he was kid, now he understands. I got the CD, and I will get the video too. The movie was more than expected. I thought I will cry a lot, but instead I love Michael more.... LOVE YOU MICHAEL

Accolades can't do this movie justice. This movie makes you realize how great his talent really was. He worked at it. He was a perfectionist - in his music and his dance. He was a gentle soul.
I saw the movie in an IMAX theatre. I recommend this highly if for nothing else but the sound. Parts of the movie are shot in IMAX but there is a lot shot with lower definition cameras. The IMAX stuff is visually breathtaking while the rest is still good, but not AS good. The sound quality is excellent throughout. You will hear many of his best -loved cuts. The remake of THRILLER was wonderful. I can't wait to see it in 3D.
The Title song, THIS IS IT, isn't sung until the credits roll so don't leave early!!!

The best! WOW! The special effects; the talent that MJ has is phenomenal! He truly is the "King of Pop". I would see this over several times. It shows the talent of the man and the loss that we have with his passing. We must be thankful to have experienced his abilities.

This was such an amazing movie! The movie was great! It was awesome to see Michael in his comfortable zone singing and dancing. He was such a perfectionist which any fan can see and hear listening to his music. It's so sad that he is gone.

If he were alive that concert would of been the concert of the century. The passion that he had for his music is something that no artist in the world can compare. The way he re-did Thriller.. All I can say is he made my friend and I laugh & cry. We were in a sold out IMAX theater & not one person in that audience wanted to miss a second of it.......
