I could not wait to see this movie. My 2 children and I counted down the days my daughter (16) and my son (5). It is AMAZING. I cant put it into words. I still have goose bumps. My son could not keep his eyes off the screen. My daughter sang. I cried, lauaghed, and grooved. This is a once in a life time event that i will remember for the rest of my life. Michael you are "Gone to Soon" Love you!!!

Best Micheal Documentary ever! This is a MUST see for all Micheal Jackson fans! I LOVED this movie!!! Did I mention I LOVED this movie! :0) I thought that I would be all gushy but I was in the theater jammin witht the rest of the crowd. Had he lived (physically, cause he will ALWAYS be alive in our hearts and through this music) that concert would have been PHENOMENAL!!!!!!! But then again, you would expect nothing less of Micheal?? Since I could not get tickets to the concert itself....this is a great way for those of us who wasn't or couldn't go to get a glimps into what it would have been like. I cant wait for this to come out on DVD!

there are so many words that can describe the genius that is Michael Jackson. This movie is incredible and really represents Michael Jackson the man, the entertainer, the pure magic... he is and always will be the greatest performer ever.. this movie is so amazing. just seeing how he works, how he prepares himself for a performance.. is so awe inspiring. i want to watch this movie again. i felt like i was 4 years old again watching him moonwalk for the first time. i was dancing in my seat and had a smile on my face the whole time. loved it!!!

This movie was truly amazing. MJ,THE MAN, has a message for the world. He is an amazing genius, philanthropist, and performer. This film captures the brilliance of his creative process. I was amazed from start to finish in IMAX. My eyes will never be the same. Orianthi was an axe wielding angel in this film - good find MJ!

I was not made disappointed by the technical wonderment of the production.. however.. I was made aware that this Very affable Performer had, in fact, (hidden by the director's ability, the technologies, and the musicians on hand.. ) lacked in substance of what his own talent had delivered before, The dancing had lost a certain amount of luster,although well done,and heroic for an older determined man.. His voice was covered ,I'm sure by design, by the spectacular sound system provided to the small orchestra, and had lost it's fiber and quite frankly all tonnage afforded him in the past.. Like Wayne Newton, He used great talents to surround himself to cover the weaknesses. Still... agreat night with Mr. Jackson & iMax. thank you

Absolutely a great movie!!! I fell inlove with Michael - "THE MAN" all over again after watching him at work. I've been listening to his music since forever and after last night's debut, I now know another reason why - he was an absolute genius and perfectionist. The movie gives us a quick glimpse into his life as a normal person just "doing his job" and how well he did it. Yes, I'm going to see it again, but I'll only see it in IMAX the same as last night because there's nothing like the IMAX experience - it's like I was right there in the Staples Center and I could just reach out and touch him. Love you, Michael - loved the movie - I can only imagine what the concert would have been . Just one word comes to mind - PHENOMENAL!!!

AMAZING! MJ was a genius! He lights up the stage & you can't take your eyes off him. The voice, moves, style, vision, creativity, & control was all there. He doesn't miss a beat even though the dancers are almost 30 years younger! He moves and sings beautifully, leaving spectators awestruck...& this was just a rehearsal! Without a doubt, Micheal was the world's greatest entertainer. You also see how caring, considerate, & humble MJ was, & how he treated everyone so respectfully. I'm so thankful this footage exists & that we get to see the masterpiece that this concert tour would have been. MJ will always be the KING! I will definitely see this film again & I can't wait until it is released on DVD. Go see it!

This movie surpassed my expectations by ten fold! It captured not only the talent we know Michael for but also his depth, passion, love of the earth, humble nature, visionary, sense of humor, kindness and more. michael portrayed as a human being which will help even his biggest critics see that behind the mask that he was indeed human and perfectionist. what the film fails to catch is director, kenny ortega, spoon feeding him, carrying his 108lb body around when he couldnt walk, and not answering the desperate pleas from his friends and family to halt production until the man gets healthy enough to perform. had ortega, AEG, & travis payne kept the artists integrity and health as first priority, they would not have let him die as they did. this film will help give closure for a lot of people although for me it made me more upset that he passed away when he didnt have to die in the 1st place.

This was the greatest movie of all time. From the time that you look at the film, it kept your attention. I already knew Michael was great but to actually see the film, it was confirmed. The artist, the talent, the perfectionist, and the human all come out for display in this movie. Truth be told, he would never want a movie like this out because he wanted the viewer/audience to see the work in it's perfect form with all the illusions, not expose the magic tricks. But that's what makes it rich for "us", the audience that never went behind Michael's creation factory. Is it too much praise? Not at all. He wouldn't have had such an impact in our lives throughout all these years if he wasn't emoting and putting out some kind of magic. IMAX is the way to see it. Not because it's "bigger and better", but you get surrounded by the performances and the brilliant background displays that "would have been" behind him.

If you didn't get him before, if you didn't realize his talent, grace, poise, tenacity, brilliance, true musical genius carried within him, you will now. This was put together in way not only to bring forth all of the afore mentioned attributes that make up the entertainment genius of Michael Jackson, but also you get from it a bit of the love that the creators of this movie and concert project, had for him. You'll find yourself dancing,singing, and wanting to yell out or cry just as you would in a concert. It is a true loss that we will never,ever be able witness what this and he could have been. He had so much left in him for all of us to see, hear, and feel. Recommended for everyone.

I enjoyed the movie immensely. I expected to be teary eyed the entire time, but that was not the case. I was touched by his message and enthralled and mesmerized by MJ's true talent in not only dance, but music as well. I had no idea he was as involved in the music aspect of his work as he was. He was definitely a perfectionist. There were some funny moments too. This was definitely very well put together. I saw it on the regular screen at the private viewing AND did the IMAX experience later Tuesday night when it opened at 11:00pm to the general public. The IMAX was a much greater experience because the picture was much clearer and precise. Nevertheless, I would watch it in black and white if I had to. It was just that great!

Some of the most surprising moments from the movie show MJ as a "normal" all-around guy. He laughed, he praised, he critiqued and he danced and danced and danced. The movie is really spectacular and gives us insight into the making of such a production and such a superstar - which, sadly, we will never witness first hand. I would most definitely recommend this movie for all to see. This movie gives you an up front personal look into 'Michael's world' and I loved it. You actually see the genius at work, being so loving and caring to everyone involved. He was such a 'sweet person' - a man before his time. He was brillant and I will forever love him and his music. He will truly be missed - what a lost!!!

Watching This Is It gives you some closure with the death of our dear King of Pop. It will help you believe that he is resting in peace as he was living his last few days, weeks and months doing what he truly loves. Seeing him for the last time performing, especially on the big screen, was such an honor, even if it was not live. He sent out important messages that showed his heart, and people really get to see the real Michael in this film. Action, thrills, excitement, humor, and heartfelt moments that brings you to tears are all in this one special movie. Now I understand why girls lost consciousness in his past concerts!

It shattered the images I had of Michael in his final months of life. The media circus surrounding his death set impressions of a lonely, frail, drugged out man... FALSE! I expected a lot of singing to tape and going through the motions, but he was AMAZING! He really sang, and sang WELL!!! He never once seemed frail, or drugged out. He danced like a young man with energy and stamina. And he is charming and funny too. A GREAT way to remember a worldwide legend, who has inspired and set the bar for pop music. A MUST SEE for Michael Jackson fans, and for those who gave up on him during the scandals... (which I believe were extortion attempts, any doubters check out the documentary on youtube "Michael Jackson: The Untold Story of Neverland" )

This is by far the best movie ever directed by a genius musical director Kenny Ortega. This movie is inspiring, touching, electrifying and LOVE. This is a must see movie for everyone that admires a passion for anything. After watching the movie you will feel Michaels presence with you driving home. It is a remarkable movie that should touch everyones heart and life. The IMAX expereience was unbelievable. I will go back and see it again.
