I do not think I will ever get tired of the Shrek series. Fairytale people becoming animated within their fairytale personalities as usual. I guess as a person who knows the fairytale characters, it makes the movies that much more funny. I enjoyed watching this movie and will buy it for my collection.

Being a big fan of the original It's A Wonderful Life, I really enjoyed Shrek's version. A great reminder to all of what's important in life.

I thought the movie was a perfect end to the series. It brought home the don't take your life for granted lesson quite well. Yes it was a little darker than the previous films but good triumphed over evil and the fairy tail world was put back to rights. I took my 5 year old daughter to it and we had a great time. Her favorite line was "Do the roar! Do the roar!".

It was good; however, nothing beats the original...I'd see it again, but don't expect anyone to quote lines from this one as they did with the first..."That's a nice boulder" says it all when there aren't words to fit a situation.

First, as many have already said: It IS inappropriate for preteens and younger. I saw 2 moms, at different times, take their children out and not return toward the middle of the movie. Furthermore, I thought it was downright boring, though I will admit, the movie did spawn me to slightly chuckle a couple of times. But that's about it.......so predictable. I really wanted it to be good; it just wasn't. It is official-"Shrek" can now be laid to rest.

As a family, we loved this movie but our kid is also older. We brought one of her friends along and they are both 14. The movie was very funny, has the same great animation and humor we have come to love with the Shrek movies. The only issue that I could see is that it might not be ok for little children. Some of the themes are a little darker than your average disney fluff. I could see how some parents might be a bit put off by it. Personally I have no issues with it but I also grew up with Hans Christian Anderson bedtime stories and evil flying monkeys ;)

I took my 4 yr old daughter thinking that it would be similar to the other 2 Shrek movies. I knew it was rated PG, but was caught off guard by how adult "Shrek Forever After" seemed in comparison to the first two movies. The plot is very dark, and it has more "in your face" adult themes throughout the film. I felt it was not appropriate for a child her age at all. I will pay much more attention to movies with a PG rating in the future.
