The cost and time in making this movie were well worth the effort. The special effect and animation are fantastic! 3D makes them even more spectacular. While the special effect are tremendous the story and subplots within the film make this more than just another sci-fi flick. Tthe whole spectrum of human emotions are expressed in the interactions of the characters. One of the very few films I will see again.

Me and my B.F.F.L went to go see this movie at first she was like ''i wanna see the tooth fairy'' and i was about to agree with her but we nodiced that there were only too seats left so we decided to take them two seat.i was awesome 3 D.Awesome Actors/Actress. we did not even care that there was a lady half way laying my my friends seat because she was sleeping and that a over weight guy was half way on my seat makeing us uncomerble we are going to see that movie again in hour TIP: get to the movies 10-20 minets befor it starts so you can get a good seat!!!

I was surprised how much I liked Avatar because I'm not usually a fan of sci fi and I was concerned about getting motion sickness (which sometimes happens), especially while watching 3-D. The motion sickness never happened, and I enjoyed the movie a lot. The special effects were amazing! I would definitely recommend this to others... a great film. :)

The 3D showing was truly a spectacular event. James Cameron is still as good at telling a tale as when he made Alien. I would highly recommend that everyone see this film in 3D if they are going to see it. As entertainment it does everything a movie needs to. A great combination of Science Fiction, romance and action.

I went to this movie not really knowing what to expect but excited that it was in 3D. WOW! It far exceeded my expectations. The effects are truly spectacular and watching in 3D makes it even better--it's like being there! I enjoyed the story as well and really came to care for the characters in the movie. I would highly recommend this to others. Be sure to see it in the theater, in an IMAX if you can. Some scenes were a bit intense for kids, but if your children have seen Star Wars and were okay with it, they should be fine with this movie. Loved it!!

Not only did I recommend this movie to a friend, but I went with him to see it again. Seeing it in 3D is a must since it's so visually stimulating. I was told it's a modern day version of "Dancing with the Wolves", which in a way it is, but even with all the political undertones, this gets across the "good over evil" classic story. I don't recommend this for kids under 10. But this is a MUST SEE movie in theaters!

I really had no desire to see this movie. My husband and oldest daughter went to see it and came home raving about it. My husband convinced me to go see it with him because he actually wanted to see it again. Wow....am I ever glad that he twisted my arm. It is truly one of the best movies that I have seen. The special effects and 3D are amazing. The story line was great too!!! The only issue that I would have at all and most all movies and TV anymore do the same, I could do without some of the language that is used. This movie is worth seeing....and I too would love to see it again.

Excellent 3D visual effect from the beginning till the end. This is my first time watching movie 3D in theater. The people behind this movie were brilliant. I will give 5 stars for it. As for the story line, it suprised me. I thought for sci-fi would be a lot of fighting and laser shootings. But it tourn out it was pretty good. Sad,love,little bit humor, bad guy, good guy, it's all there. I'll give 4 stars for it. But still recommend it to see, just for the visual effect itself and the setting. IT"S WORTH IT after all.

I can't imagine watching this movie without 3D. It was a beautiful love story, an action movie and entirely different from anything I have ever seen. I would recommend it to older children (a lot of violence in the invasion scenes).

The previews were misleading. I expected an action film, not a booring mistical fantisy story. I couldn't sit in the theater for that long, so I left with over an hour to go. The 3D was OK. I should have waited for it to come out on DVD.

this is an excellent movie with technology ahead of its time. the technology has set a new standard for future movies. 3d is awesome. however this movie will have huge appeal to kids and there is a lot of profanity. this would have been just as good of movie if they would have left out the bad language.

I am an avid movie goer and found this movie to be one of the best I have ever been to. The 3D visual effects are awesome and the setting (mostly rainforest) made the film incredible from start to finish. The imagination of the writer was brilliant and I would recommend this to all over 10 years of age. I think there are a few parts that would be too much for younger viewers.

I was expecting like Avatar, I didn't expect to love it! The 3D affect is amazing with the transition from real to animation almost undetectable. The story is somewhat predictible, but it doesn't matter. You become so immersed in the visual bounty that you can't wait for more. More color, more action, more creatures and eventually, more connection to Pandora, the characters and their fight. Very, very cool movie. I waited a long time to see it and it was more than worth it. Don't wait until it's out of the theaters. You need to see it with a group of strangers and join in the applause at the end.

I really did love this movie. I thought it got a bit slow in the middle, and was a little long. The special effects were amazing. I wouldn't waste my time seeing it in 2D, especially after seeing it in 3D. I think this movie will change how most movies are viewed from here on out. Can't wait to see "Alice In Wonderland" in 3D...and "Shek!"

Maybe it's an eyeball orgasm. If that's what you want, go hike up a mountain. The story is crap. The characters are thin and pathetically unsympathetic. The dialogue is embarrassingly cheesy. The outcome is predictable and James Cameron just disappointed me for the first time in my adult life.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
