I was expecting like Avatar, I didn't expect to love it! The 3D affect is amazing with the transition from real to animation almost undetectable. The story is somewhat predictible, but it doesn't matter. You become so immersed in the visual bounty that you can't wait for more. More color, more action, more creatures and eventually, more connection to Pandora, the characters and their fight. Very, very cool movie. I waited a long time to see it and it was more than worth it. Don't wait until it's out of the theaters. You need to see it with a group of strangers and join in the applause at the end.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
