I'm torn. I loved it but the storyline was a little weak. By the end of the movie I had an overwhelming desire to lay down and take a nap. The acting and the IMAX 3D kept me interested. GET there early and get good seats, I was in the front row and it was uncomfortable!

The movie kept us seated even after the end mark. We were enjoying its 3D feature through the end of the end. It was indeed a movie in amazing 3D. The effects and cg environment were spectacular, especially in 3D. Storyline could have used a little work, but in whole was still pretty good. Not very impressed with Depp as the Hatter. Was a little too depressing compared to what I thought the Hatter should have been like. Ultimately it all balanced out into a really great movie, which I recommend as a must see. If you have the option of an IMAX 3D, that is definitely the way to go, but still see it even if you don't.

I believe this was true to Tim Burton's best. It had many surprises such as the tree used in the movie Sleepy Wollow. I loved it so much in IMAX 3D I saw it the next day again. I am sure hope the DVD comes out in 3D. It broke box office records for the first weekend. I highly recommend this movie.

It was pretty neat in 3D, however, I felt the beginning was rushed and the development of plot was lacking. Johnny Depp was good and so was Helena Bonham Carter. The development of the other characters were minimal. If someone had never seen or had any previous knowledge of Alice in Wonderland I don't think they would have grasped the other characters.

The special effects and 3D were awesome, however the story was not what I remember. The story was changed and there were many things missing from the story I remember as a kid. Had I known it would have been a little different, I may not have had the twinge of disappointment. I would recommend this movie, but as 3D had I not seen it in 3D i may not have enjoyed it.

The movie was great but I think my kids enjoyed it more than I did. I paid for Imax 3D but regular 3D should be fine. I was a little worried about taking my kids ages 5-10 but there was nothing to worry about. The movie was appropriate for them. They enjoyed it.

Burton's usually imaginative whimsy was reduced to echoes of Sleepy Hollow & Edward Scissorhands, tangled up with unsympathetic characters & a turgid lack of plot. The attempted cohesive “story” was a tiring stretch. Even Depp didn't seem to perform with a clear picture of his own character. Mad is one thing; sloppy is another. The weird Disney ending leaves one baffled as to why Burton quit working with them in the first place, as he puts creative differences aside to sink to their triteness again. Alice could have been brilliant. Instead, it panders to goth 12-year-olds, with more stripey dresses & spiraling vines than substance. His subtle touch for quirky intelligent artistry is lost on this one. A little more effort next time, please?

Overall the movie was great. The only complaint I have is that Depp's character, The Mad Hatter wasn't developed enough for his "character genius" It was almost as if he was having to hold back his talent in order to do this part. Similar to the vein of Avatar this movie was visually stunning. I appreciated the re-envisioning. Depp was however not particular funny, and did not live up to my expectations. That being said this was a good and fun entertaining movie, and that is what we go to the movies for.

I loved the movie. So did my 14 yr old daughter. I was a little disappointed in the quality of the Imax theater. I have been to other Imax that had screens 3 times bigger,but the screen was bigger than a normal screen. Also the way the seats were set up, the first two rows were way too close to the screen for that size of a screen.They need to reconfigure seating for the larger screens.We went on a busy night, and even though we got there 30 minutes early, the only seats left were in the first two rows. the picture and 3D were hard to focus on sitting that closely.BUT the movie itself was GREAT.I wish we could see it again with better seats.
