and that is enough said. but I'll add a little more... original actors and directors created the perfect sequel. I know that some people didnt like that the movie had so many ties to the first movie but guess what... ITS THE SEQUEL!! and that is what happens. I personally loved the movie. This movie tried too hard to tie back to the original. Some parts were good (shooting scenes) and the FBI chick was good, but the rest of it took while a formulate and it just never met the expectations most of us had set for it. You should see it, but don't be suprised if you feel a little disappointed when you leave.

I am a true fan of the franchise, but this sequel left something to be desired. The classically cool protagonists have their charisma buried in a sea of kitsch and jokes that often fall flat. The cinematography is rough and the editing choppy, much like the first installment, but this time it feels disconnected and random. The supporting cast is the real tragedy, robbing the movie what little momentum it manages to dredge up. All in all, this second installment takes everything that is profound about the original and makes it cheesy. It's not a terrible movie, but a wait-for-DVD for sure.

If you loved Boondock Saints, then this one won't disappoint. We waited quite a while for it to come to our home city and of course, went on opening night. We were concerned it wouldn't live up to the first one, but the storyline they used to bring the boys back was a good one and there are enough references to the first movie that loyal fans will catch them and enjoy a chuckle. Loved how they brought the story full circle and even left enough open ended to begin a third. Let's just not make us wait so long this time, eh?

I loved it. I was very impressed with the storyline and how the boys would come back.,. but very well done. My only wish is that they had Agent Smecker ,all thru the movie, As much as I like Ms Benz, this was not her role......But I loved to see this squel and I had to drive almost an hour to see it.....So come on local theatres !!!! I felt that there were some slow parts where the original kept my attention for the whole movie. This installment also was cheesier than the first, but that didn't make it less enjoyable. I have to say I enjoyed The Boondock Saints II. It was excellently done and yes its hard to beat the first with the scene of Rocco going on a tangent and the cat. Plenty of action and jokes you can expect from the Saints and room for a possible trilogy. I won't go into details for those of you, whom have yet to watch The Boondocks Saints II. Here's hoping for a third Saint's :)

I'm still trying to decide whether this movie was better than the first or not. It's definately worth seeing again, and the story was fantastic. There was plenty of action, with a healthy dose of laughs. I really missed Rocco, but Romeo substitutes in really well for him.

I loved the first movie. The issue with the second movie was the instances of making a characakture of the first. There were some cops in the first that were not bright, but in this version the same characters were full on laurel and hardy dumb. Second, not having all the original actors hurt. the new brother was not good. The back story for dad was somewhat interesting, and could have worked a lot more to develop the plot( it was a nice nod to godfather 2's young Vito) All in all I was disappointing because it could have been so much more. Wait for video.

Normally I grimace at sequels, and I was, of course, nervous about Boondock Saints II because I loved the first movie. However, Boondocks Saints II totally blew my fears away and is arguably even better than the first. The characters seem to be so real, as opposed to normal hollywood perfect speech types, and they call each other out when stupid ideas are proposed. Very real. If you in any way like Boondock Saints, or even if you didn't, I'm sure you will love the second. Many surprises in the movie, and more plot is added. Absolutely love it.

Finally a movie where the main characters talk like normal people. No stuffy, perfect vocab SAT score lines for the actors to give. It's pure honesty of how people are with each other. The action scenes are so much better than any CGI waste of money, like I know anyone who wants to see Avatar or 2012. The camera doesn't get all shakey during fights like in the Bourne movies. Great story as well. These are the type of guys you want to hang out with. Troy Duffy knows who goes to see movies, what they are like, and what they want. Being an a** doesn't mean he isn't better than any writer/director in Holloywood.

I was skeptical going in, but Boondock II totally delivered. The humor, style, and tone of the first film was captured perfectly, without being redundant. If you enjoyed the first, you will absolutely love this! It has the basic idea of the first one however and the events weren't too creative, but it still was pretty good. I REALLY enjoyed this movie! There were no advertisements on tv, but I saw the ad and trailer on the Movietickets website while searching for a movie a few weeks ago. This is the best kept secret for the Thanksgiving weekend! While others were cussing in the shopping parking lots, I was laughing with most others in the movie theater and enjoying a movie that offered action and a twist of fun! The movie brought you a bit of the Saint's history and opens the door for the next chapter. I plan to go back and see this movie again!! A great movie to get you out of the BLAHS!

First, the good. Impressively, though the sequel took years to come about, Duffy managed to maintain the entire cast of the first movie. The actions scenes were fantastic and arguably, better than in the first. Now, the bad. If you liked the first one, you'll most likely like the second one. The reason? It's as if they took a survey of what people liked about the first one and increased it by 200% in the second installment. For example, if you liked the church-themed music, zany sidekick, Rocko, and slapstick, over-acting in the supporting cast, well, you'll get plenty of each. If you like those aspects and wanted more, a lot more, of each, you'll be pleased. Too much of a good thing is not a great thing.

It was one of the better sequels I've seen, but still kind of cheesy. I loved the first one! It was actually a pretty good movie. I recommend seeing it!

At the end, we just looked at each and said "that was sooooo gooood". OMG! We laughed, we were surprised, it was great!

The second installment was great, it most definitely lived up to the hype. Two thumbs way up. Looking forward towards the third installment. Just hope they distribute the third installment to more theaters. As driving an hour to see a movie is a bit rediculous .
