I took my boyfriend and my best friend with me to see this and ended up sitting by chance next to some other friends I have known for 10 years but had not seen in awhile! We all loved the movie and felt it moved right along and kept our interest. The characters were likable and the comedic lines mixed into the story gave it a nice flow. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a good ol' romance and clever dialog.

Took my mom, aunt and "i hate chick flicks daughter" for special preview. We all cried, laughed and cheered throughout the whole movie.(Yes, even my tom-boy of a daughter) "Charlie" is delightful, and ignorant and a pill...and we loved it! Sophie is beautiful, incredibly witty and determined...wish we were more like her. Oh and those blue eyes of "Lorenzo and Claire" simply dreamy! The scenery and background music have the 4 of us, planning a trip to Italy next summer. We all walked away feeling happy and full of hope..that love does, truly conquer all...if you let it! We agreed that if the DVD were available right after the show, we would have EACH bought our own copy...Can hardly wait for the soundtrack and movie to be in stores!

I treated myself to this very sweet movie for mothers day. Its good to see a romantic movie every so often, and this was perfect. I found myself smiling through the whole movie. What fine actors too, Vanessa Redgrave has always been a great star but her blue eyes made her even more real. And Franco Nero, blue eyes and what a man! This was a great girl's night out movie. The movie had serious moments, but it also had equally funny moments. This movie was awesome. Yes, it was predictable to a certain degree, but sometimes predictible is a good thing when it comes in such a nice package like this movie. I went to the movie primarily because it was set in Italy and I hoped that I would also like the story. All I can say is that it was so much better than I expected. It was a cute, fun story with beautiful scenery. I thought the acting was good and it was so much funnier than I expected too. Entertaining, funny, with a happy ending. We need more uplifting and positive movies like this, with a few good laughs thrown in. I WILL recommend this to everyone I know that enjoys a good love story.

Good movie to pass the time on Mother's Day at the sneak preview. Good PG movie especially for teen girls. Story predictable but tastefully done with the Italian countryside being a plus for any romantic wine lover.

Good story, actors, sceens, but could have been over the top with 15 minutes more of movie. Movie was too short and needed that extra time for characters to flow from hating each other to loving, or even showing more of beautiful Italy. Could have been a classic, but as is, it's just a chick flick. We did enjoy it, just saw room for improvement.
