I enjoyed every minute of this movie. The plot would be unbelievable if it weren't true. It is delightful to watch Sandra Bullock play pushy Leigh Ann. A very uplifting show! I have already recommended it to my children. I would also recommend it to a friend.

Never mind that I've always had a 'thing' for Sandra Bullock and ignore that fact that she makes a hot blonde. This is flat out a terrific movie. Well written, well acted, well directed....It's perfect for families or a first date, and what an inspirational story. Do yourself a favor and stay for the end credits as they show real scenes from the life of 'Big Mike'.

Including giving her friends what for when they underhandedly criticize her for her efforts on behalf of a boy from the wrong side of town. My 22-year old son went the night before me to see the movie. The next morning he said this was NOT a chick flick, he really liked it, and he was going to see it again. Does that tell you something? Ditto his sentiments. There was so much COURAGE in the characters portrayed, despite risks, condescension from friends, having to go the extra mile and be inconvenienced. I could go on and on, but I'm giving 2 thumbs up, and 3 if I had an extra.

This movie has the same passion and triumph that Hossiers had. If you have any heart at all, you will love this film. Many jaded critics will point out that some of the acting was poor or over-the-top, but that is secondary to the story, which is truly inspiring. I know some leeway was probably taken with the actual story, but if even half of it is true, it is simply amazing. It also points out the simple truism of film that most Hollywood filmakers have forgotten (except Pixar), THE STORY IS EVERYTHING. Finally, Sandra Bullock has pulled off her first great role. After being typecast for almost all her career, she finally got a role that displays she is an actor. Go see this film, you will not be sorry.
