Based on a true story.......this is a wonderful movie and I would classify it as a "feel good" movie. We need more of these !!!!!
Sandra Bullock is at her best in this movie. She should be awarded for this one. Tim McGraw also did a good job, even though he was there just for the supporting part. The kids who played her kids (can't remember their names) were also great. The part of Michael Oher makes you want to watch football with a player and person like that. Wonderful movie....in case I forgot to mention that.

I entered the theater expecting a mediocre Lifetime movie but was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The plot is from true heartwarming events about a poor black boy, Michael Oher, from a broken family taken in by a well off southern white family. The creators deserve credit for restraining themselves from falling into the maudlin Hollywood treatment but at times you have to suspend belief that the transition to his new family went so smoothly. Led by Sandra Bullock, who gives the performance of her career, as a tough, smart and caring woman and Jae Head (son) is funny and charismatic. Singer Tim McGraw (husband) and Lily Collins (daughter) are window dressing; this is Sandra’s film. Quinton Aaron (Michael) gives a low-key performance.

My husband and I loved the movie. It was funny, it was moving, it was inspiring. We'd love for our teenage sons to see it as well. (There aren't too many movies we can say that about!) We will definitely recommend The Blind Side to our friends and will probably purchase the movie on DVD. It's one of those we'd enjoy watching again and again.

This is an outstanding film that shows the true meaning of Christianity and the opportunity to give and receive without expecting it. This is one of those feel good movies that make you glad you spent the money. I'll watch it again on video when it comes out. Great performances by EVERYONE! The kids were great, Bullock was great, and McGraw was way better than expected. I'd tell anyone to watch this movie and there is no way you won't like it, unless you don't like sports of course.

This was the greatest movie I have seen in a long time. I can't imagine anyone not being moved by it, no matter what the age or gender. It had a balance of all emotions. I was especially glad my teenage daughter saw it with me as she was as moved by it as I was.

Don't go to see this movie because tt demonstrates good moral values or because it's a "feel good" movie, both of which are true. What makes The Blind Side worth seeing is that it combines drama with comedy to yield the most entertaining move of the year. That it also has Sandra Bullcok's finest performance is a huge plus.

While I usually shy away from movies having anything to do with sports, this movie is very good, and the sports theme is not a turn-off. I have to admit shedding a few tears during this movie, not because it is sad, but because of the human emotion shown towards a young, poor, black man, who strives to do better, despite the odds. I liked this movie very much.
