This film was amazing. Tim McGraw was a surprise! You don't really recognize him without his hat, but he made a name for his self on the screen. Sandra Bullock deserves an Oscar nod. Her performance of the character really draws you into the movie. The supporting cast was great! I think if Kathy Bates was my tutor, I would find a way to learn!
John Lee Hancock did a masterful job of visual story telling. He was able to take the story he co-wrote and bring it to life. I thought the cinematography when Big Mike was in the laundry mat was masterful. My favorite shot was when he was sitting by himself and then opening up the biology book. Showing empty laundry washers, reflecting on how empty Big Mike was feeling! Great Job!

Overall, I would say this movie was great - feel good "real life" story of rags to riches. There were a few cheesy moments but the young boy who played SJ in the movie was excellent and his interaction with the boy who plays Michael is heart-warming. I would recommend seeing this film more so than others out this year. Enjoy!

"The Blind Side" might as well be a Lifetime or Hallmark movie. It trades the sports movie cliches for the inspirational movie cliches. It is able to excel beyond a made-for-TV movie because it has its heart in the right place, yet it still feels like one because the focus doesn't hit similarly. The story should be about Michael Oher and how he rose from poverty to play in the NFL. However, the filmmakers felt it necessary to shift the paramount concern of the movie to Leigh Anne Touhy (Sandra Bullock), the wealthy woman who made it all possible. It takes the achievement out of the inspiration, and a movie that aims to be heartwarming winds up radiating nothing but lukewarm feelings.

This was a very touching and heartfelt movie. It makes you really think about what's important and how people should be more giving and open their hearts to others. I always judge a good movie by if it does all of the following; it makes you laugh, it makes you cry and you walk away wondering how you might help others. Great Movie!

This movie is the total package. The actors are great! and it is based on a true story. I would encourage anyone to go see this movie, to me, it was an amazingly uplifting experience. You will not regret seeing this movie, in fact if you choose not to, I feel you are missing a great flick.

Who knew you could go see a movie without a s-e-x scene and profanity?? AND ACTUALLY LIKE IT!!!!
I was blown away by this movie... I hoped I would enjoy it and 'enjoy' doesn't cover it. Sandra Bullock and Quintin Aaron couldn't have been better. What a spectacular job casting for accuracy of character.
Michael Oher's story is already amazing and this is an amazing movie to tell it.

Excellent movie. The funny parts weren't "American Style" wich made the movie funnier. Sandra Bullock was the best actress chosen for this movie, she made it more interresting. Some actors had to be a little more involved in the movie. Overall, it's a touching, wonderful inspiring true story.

Finally! An excellent movie not ruined by overt sexuality & foul language. True life defeats fiction every time. Thank you for finding this story & telling the world. The world needs more Leigh Anns!
We were, however, disgusted by the previews. They made sure EVERY clip -- with the exception of the Nelson Mandela movie -- included a gratuitous s-e-x scene. WHY? WHY? WHY? Part of why we chose that movie is because we're sick of Hollywood's message about overt sexuality -- but then we're inundated with it in the previews. Unbelievable.
Please note -- I had to "spell" s-e-x to make it pass this website's review standards. If only the previews were held to such a standard.

Wow what an amazing movie! These dont come around very often but well worth the wait! This is truly Sandra's most powerful performance! The character Sandra portrayed is someone who doesnt see black or white, she see's a young man who needs help and opens her heart and home to a perfect stranger who becomes another son to her and her family. I would watch this again and again and its even better knowing this is based on a true story! Loved it!

This was an excellent movie. It was funny and emotional. Laughed and cried throughout. More people should be like the character Sandra Bullock played. It would make this world a better place. All the actors did an incredible job playing there parts. I enjoyed seeing the real pictures at the end of the movie. That was a very good touch. everyone should take the family to see this movie.

Blind Side was one of the best movies I have seen in quite a while. What a great story .. found myself laughing and crying throughout. An uplifting story that proves that perseverance pays off.
Sandra Bullock was amazing.. probably her best role to date. I love Tim McGraw and think he did a wonderful job. The actors were all superb.
I would recommend to families and i would see this movie again..

An excellent story of a young man who has nothing and noone. He resists the pressures of the poor and down and out. Quinton Aaron is excellent as a quit young man just tring to exist and stay out of trouble. Not liking what he sees around him he withdraws into his own world of quiet desparation.
Bullock steps up to the roll of wealthy do gooder and gives us a wonderful glimpse of the difference between helping and careing in her transition from patron to mom.
An Osar nomination for both actors performance should not be out of the question.
