My wife and I went to the movies to destress and just have a good time. We laughed and laughed and laughed. No one is going to win an Oscar but it is just great intertainment. A little formulaic but hey, we had fun watching it and are still laughing and talking about it.

My husband and I went to see Date Night as our date night and we had a great time. We loved the movie! We adore Steve Carell and Tina Fey and usually love everything they star in...this movie is no exception. It was really funny, but also a sweet story about married couples and the bumps they go through in life. It felt like we were looking at ourselves at some points. Carell & Fey have great comedic timing and they are wonderful together. We'd love to see more projects with the two of them!

I was expecting more madcap, zany comedy, but I was delighted instead to find a story about a surburban couple who played fast and loose with the restaurant reservation rules and ended up in the middle of a dangerous situation. Mark Wahlberg is incredibly hot, and Steve Carell and Tina Fey have a magical rhythm and chemistry. I would love to see these 2 paired again. Favorite moments included Tina Fey voicing over the female of a dating couple in another booth while Steve voiced the male. I really could relate to that, because I've done that too. People watching with an attitude. It is a really fun ride.

It was the perfect movie choice for my husband and me. It was hilarious! The car scene was the best, absolutely side-splitting! This movie had more to offer than I expected; I wanted to see another movie, but my wife wanted to see this, so I went, expecting minimal laughs...my apologies to the couple sitting next to us, because we laughed the loudest and hardest in the entire jam packed theater. Oh, don't get me wrong, others were laughing too, but did they have pop corn flying out of their noses like we did? Hilarious romp through the city with a lot of great surprises.

Well written, hilarious and heartwarming at the same time. Tina Fey is extremely talented, and Carell combines a comedic sense with an inherent believabiity. The script was well written and I suspect was enhanced by ad-libs by two of the best in the business.

Steve Carell and Tina Fey are so funny. The movie has lots of good laughs for married people and the day to day chore of it all. Parts of the movie were sort of boring and the ending a bit unsettling...hence I would not like anyone under 21 viewing the twisted DA part ....and there were lots of tweens in the theatre ...SAD!!!!!! The scene with the taxi and the sportscar was very funny. A fun movie but not great!

Both my wife and I connect with Steve Carrell and Tina Fey in any case, and this movie is no exception. We found it to be very funny! A "classic?" Probably not, but it still kept us laughing throughout. Couples that have been married for awhile (w/kids, etc) will find more humor in it than others...but there are enough of us in that category to go around!!

This movie has plenty of laughs - more than are shown in the trailer - and Tina Fey and Steve Carrell have chemistry that works. There is plenty of action too so the flic doesn't drag at any point. The humor really isn't for pre-teens, so I tend to agree with the PG-13 rating.

This movie is great. The humor is slightly different than the Office or 30 Rock but I found it hysterical. Steve Carell and Tina Fey are the perfect comedy team and they definitely deliver in this movie. I am a huge Tina Fey fan and this movie was genius! Steve Carell was a great choice for a costar and he was hilarious as well. Sure its not going to win an academy award or anything but I thoroughly enjoyed it and I will probably see it again and again! Seriously, everything Tina Fey does is funny! Sometimes you see a movie trailer get to the movie and realize they showed you all the best parts in the trailer. This was not the case. This movie was hilarious all the way through and at one point. I haven't seen a movie this good since Hangover. Tina Fey and Steve Carell couldn't have been funnier! I laughed from beginning to end. It is a definite must see!!! Thanks Tina and Steve!!!

This wasn't the funniest movie I have ever seen but Steve Carell and Tina Fey offer some good scenes that carry a dull script. As a long time married couple my wife and I could relate with many things in the movie.

Tina Fey and Steve Carell are two of the most talented comedy actors working today, and was only their efforts that saved this film from being a total disaster. Suffice it to say that the director, Shawn Levy, was also responsible for "Night in the Museum," and that should tell you the level of nuance and sophistication that you're in for after you buy a ticket (don't say you haven't been warned). While the film did have a couple of funny scenes, the outtakes, where the two actors show their ability to improvise, demonstrate how the film might have played had the filmmakers respected their lead's abilities and given them enough room to work. Carell and Fey had chemistry, and it makes me wonder what could happen if they're ever given material that would let them make a movie.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Loved this movie. Fey and Carrell play the roles straight, as real characters wanting just a decent date night til mayhem strikes. The jokes are laugh out loud funny, and the pacing is just right. Perfect movie for a married couple looking for date night. Jokes are good for both men and women, ie, not your typical romantic comedy oriented only towards women. Highly recommended.
