A great movie, with a great comedy pairing. I titled this good all-around because the movie is actually solid. The plot is simple to understand and makes complete sense. The comedy is on time and spread well throughout the movie. The pacing is good on all levels (dialogue, action and comedy). And even the extras were great choices.
I must admit, that the comedy is STRICTLY Tina Fey and Steve Carell fair. If you don't like either of these actors, then this isn't the movie for you. However, if you're a fan of either character, not only will you love what that character does, I'm sure you'll gain a respect/admiration for the other.

It is nice to see a movie with a married couple who goes through crazy stuff and stick together. It is also nice to see them laugh at each others nuances. I loved the black taxi driver's expressions when he got into the chase involuntarily. Mark Wahlberg looked very yummy and any female would have gushed at him. Good laughs and a great way to escape reality for a bit. Go see it and enjoy!

Tina Fey and Steve Carell were great, when they were allowed to do so. Every now and then the director would let you see that Fey and Carell are very funny in their own right. Unfortunately, the plot, straight from the 1980's, is so ridiculous that you will have a hard time waiting for the next moment of comedic brilliance. The movie "almost" works, in spite of itself. How the director conned Ray Liotta into this, I'll never know. Good cast, few laughs here and there, horrible, horrible, horrible story. Luckily its less than an hour and a half long, because you can't wait for it to end.

This is one of the few movies that had me laughing outloud... and I usually don't even like comedies! The chemistry between Fey and Carell is terrific and their characters seem totally real. The plot is somewhat predictable, but never boring or slow paced. The movie made for a great "date night" for me and my husband.

I really enjoyed this movie. Wasn't expecting anything great from it, but the dialog alone was very clever. I don't normally enjoy chase scenes but this one with the Taxi driver was funny! My husband and I are also a just a boring couple from NJ so I guess we can relate.

This movie is terrible! It's essentially a movie about the doubts and challenges that busy married couples face when they try to re-kindle their romance. Some parts are very quick and funny, but then there are these scenes where you have to ask yourself, is this a high school comedy? How did these get past the editors? It's worth seeing on dvd, but not worth theater pricing.

some funny lines but plot was weak. a friend took group of 12 yr old girls.. DO NOT make that mistake. totally inappropriate. sophomoric

I have been a movie-goer for many many years (too many to mention). I was raised on comedies such as Blazing Saddles and Caddyshack and the like, so rarely do I find recent movies "laugh-out-loud funny". My faith as been restored! Last night I had a date-night to see "Date Night" and we both laughed our butts off. I would venture to say i laughed out loud 20 times. I probably laughed out loud more than any time since "the Nutty Professor" and the scene at the dinner table where Eddie Murphy played nearly all the characters. I won't lay out the plot because anyone who has a computer can see a trailer for it to learn that. What I WILL say, is 'go see this movie'. You will laugh.
