Sex and the City is one of my all time favorite series and I can watch the movie over and over again. However, the 2nd is not as good as the first. I was soooo excited to go see it, but was a little disappointed. I will watch again when it comes out on video but just because I love the series.

From the moment the movie started it was a different feel. It felt sad and distraught. Sex and the City was a fun show and the first movie gave you this hopeful feeling but this one did not give that same feeling. The fashion was a little out there and although I am glad I saw it, this is not one I would want to own or see again.

As an avid SATC watcher, my girlfriends and I had weekly watching parties, I was not very excited to see the movie due to such horrific reviews. I am glad to say I was pleasantly surprised. It is not up to par with the show or the last movie, but I do not think it was as awful as other reviewers have said. I think the fashion was terrible, but I enjoyed the awfulness of it. The bond between the women and the fact that we can relate to their relationships with the opposite sex is why we love the show. For me those aspects of the show were in the movie. There was a particularly touching moment between Miranda and Char, as well as other reminders of what the show meant to us all. It wasn't fabulous, but it wasn't bad either.

Overall, SATC2 was fun, and the movie didn't drag, as some professional reviewers said. Carrie and Big were at the center of it, as they should be, and there were some funny lines and just enough plot to keep it moving. Neither movie has had the bite of the series and given the R rating I don't know why, given that the people who will see it are the ones who watched the series. My biggest complaint was the fashion. (Sorry, Patricia Fields.) SATC has always been about glamour, but the wardrobe here seemed tacky and just out of date.

Regardless of what the critics said if you were an avid follower of the show you will get into this movie. I loved it and will buy it when it comes out to complete my set. Don't think they will make another one because of the way they ended this. If I saw one thing that was a little too much it was the gay wedding at the beginning--- think it was a little overboard on the set decorations.

This will be a movie-to-own just for the opportunity to watch Liza Minelli sing Beyonce over and over again. The movie comes on strong and ends well. There are down times in the middle which could be improved by the director picking up the pace a bit. Still, it is delivers for all SATC die-hards and gives a delightful commentary on the definition of a great relationship. Overall a GOOD summer movie to see and enjoy.

For my already low expectations not to be met is a real accomplishment. For a movie about fashion and glamour Pat Fields costumes came off as recycled late ninties frivolity and inexpensive excess, though I'm certain it had wide audience appeal for it ridiculous scale and flash. The plot was lack luster if not a bit morbid on the nature of relationships and the original appeal of the 4 single ladies lost something with age and lack of singleness. Rent it and watch it like you did the original show, it may be vaguely enjoyable then.

I thought the movie was good for those people, like myself, who followed the show for the years it was on HBO. As for someone going to see it as a follow up to the first movie, it doesn't compare. I felt the movie was good and covered the most common issues a woman faces once married with children, but it was a little slow for me and there was too much time between funny lines and scenes. It pushed the vulgar envelope a little, but what else would you expect from Samantha? It's a great movie to go see with friends, especially after a couple of martinis, but don't expect it to be as good as the first. A bit of a downer, barely saved by comedy.

I was very dissapointed. I am such a fan and was very pleased with part 1. I think the sequel was a waste of time and should not have made it to the big screen. I enjoyed seeing this movie-- all the glitz, fashion, and settings were unbelievable. If I were to improve anything, it would be the plot. I think Carrie and Big's plot was good, but was too boring to dominate the other plotlines. This movie was nothing like the TV show or the first movie. The worst story line ever. Don't know how it ended because I left before it was over.

I was really excited to see SATC2 because I loved the TV series and I really liked the first movie. But I was sorely disappointed. They should have stopped with the first movie. The story line was so far fetched that it was silly and ridiculous at times. There were some good moments and it was good to see all the girls together again. They took stereotypes way too far from the gay wedding to the culture of the middle east. It wasn't the worst movie in the world but I hate that I paid full price at the theater. Wait to see this one on demand or netflix.

I thought it was great. The 2hr. and 27 min flew by. The fashion and accessories and design were fabulous. I guess my only critique is it makes you feel really financially poor. Those are things and places few are ever able to see or experience. Loved it though and hope that there's a 3.
