2 1/2 hours of escape! Left my worries behind, not deep, but lots of laughs and some of my favorite characters.
If you are a fan just go to enjoy. No high expectations and you will enjoy it. If you are looking for depth of character or some huge twist, this isn't it.

I wondered how they would do a second movie when the first really wrapped everything into a good place but as a SITC diehard I am glad to get another dose of these fabulous women. Although not quite the caliber of the first movie it was still a fun ride to take with my girlfriends and definitely one I would see again. Those characters (female and male) are phenomenal, the fashions lived up to the expectation and whether you have a "Mr. Big" in your life or not, it is always fun to have a chance to live a little vicariously through the lives of those women. I say keep 'em coming!

For those who know and like the characters it is an enjoyable and entertaining film and makes for a good Girls Night Out. That being said I could have waited for it to come out on cable. The film is fun and far-fetched as others have said, with over-the-top characterization. It's a bit too campy for my taste.

This one was not as good as the first one! It was VERY long and the plot was all over the place...I'm a SATC fan and it just feel a little short..Some good parts to I guess I would recommend the movie IF you are a SATC fan!

Disappointed with this one. Although the clothes and shoes were great, I wasn't crazy about the story lines. The hype was so exciting that I expected 2 to be as good as 1, but I guess most sequels aren't as good as the originals. Wait until it's on DVD to watch it at home and save your money for a better movie.

Sex & The City 2 was kind of a disappointment for me. The plot was really lacking and the wardrobes were not that great this time. The close ups on the characters faces showed how old they all looked, so perhaps better make up and lighting were needed. But if you liked the first one there is no way you will want to miss this one. Just don't go into it with high expectations.

The perfect excuse to get dressed up and have a cosmo!
Carrie and the girls were as much fun as ever, and they even explored some serious issues, like the things moms think but feel guilty about saying and the [right] place of tradition in a marriage.
The trip to Abu Dhabi seemed a bit like an elaborate set-up so the movie could share some thoughts about the place of women in Islamic cultures and exploit the burqa as a metaphor for women keeping silent and hiding themselves. That said, the scenery is amazing, there are lots of laughs, and the characters remained true to everything we came to the expect from the show.
Bottom Line: If you liked the series and the first movie, you'll like the second movie, too. If you didn't like the series or the first movie, skip it.

Overall I thought it was great. Not much of a plot but not sure I expected one and that's how most movies are these days. It had lots of humor, awesome clothes & cute shoes!! And the "girl talks" were hilarious, some serious and some even "normal". (the mommy melt-down) I would have like for the "kiss" to be more of an issue with Big. But he was a bit of a push-over! (we got more emotion about him getting married in SATC than the kiss) Don't think any of us could kiss another man and get a big diamond out of it. But we LOVE SATC for the girl talks & the fashion mostly!! (well, and the HOT men we get to look at) I'm hoping for SATC3.

I liked the first S&TC but this movie tried too hard. The costume designer seemed angry and uninterested in the characters. The makeup was sadly lacking and the lighting non-existant. I didn't like any of the characters this time. This was a typical ego production. I have thirty years in the business as a stage manager and have hundreds of productions under my belt, so this is does not come from an uninformed mind.

I loved...I was looking forward for a long time. I went with my girlfriends and had a great time followed by cosmopolitans afterwards! I heard some people saying that they didn't get it and I believe its because they are not crazy about like I am. (Maybe because SATC IS my story too! Me and my gal friend's story!) The movie was absolutely horrible: boring, sappy, a total disappointment. I watched all of the Sex and the City shows on HBO and saw the first movie and am a huge fan. I took my daughter and her friend to see the movie and we all hated it. We couldn't think of one single part of the movie that we liked. Liza Minelli? Be serious. A Helen Reddy tribute? Yuch! Camel rides? Come on. Don't waste your money on this one. Don't even rent it or buy it in DVD.

Satisfying in every way for all of us wanna be fashionistas and followers of the characters' lives! Fun movie with lots of gorgeous clothes, shoes and jewelry to ogle. The characters continue to evolve as they get older and move through life dealing with the same stuff the rest of us ordinary mortals have to deal with, but with humor. Lots of laughs! Movie theater was full and most of the people laughing and enjoying themselves! (Even the guys)

While looking for a continuation of who they were, it left you feeling let down at the end. It had the normal banter and humor among the girls. It just fell short with all the hype leading up to it.
