A great girls night out. Samantha is funnier than ever. The fashion is outrageous and wonderful. I was fearful that a sequel would let me down but this did not. I feel like I was watching an extended HBO show.....and loved every minute of it.

Not that great of a movie. I am a huge Sex and the City fan and LOVED the first movie! In this movie, the story lines were very predictable and even boring. In addition, the ending was completely unrealistic because no man would actually react the way Mr. Big did in the movie. Very disappointing and it is not worth the $11 for a movie ticket. While the first SATC movie flowed from the series - this one did not. There was no chemistry between any of the actors and half the story lines were totally unbelievable and the other half were very mundane. I watch SATC to escape everyday life for a little while - I don't want to see my life on screen - I can do that at home. The storylines did not flow and were very choppy. There was no WOW factor except for maybe 2 scenes in the entire movie. I was very disappointed and wonder how such a talented group of actors, actresses and writers did not see how bad this movie really is.

A bit more far fetched than normal. Almost seemed thrown together, not all that funny, just 'cute'.
As a big Aidan fan a firm believer Carrie does not deserve him, I didn't like how they portrayed him as being weak. That also seemed left unresolved.
All the ladies are getting old, the plot was very unrealistic and there really was no climax. BUT as a SAHM of 3 boys I definitely indentified with the mommy moments Charlotte and Miranda had. I was tearing up when Charlotte locked herself in the pantry. THAT was realistic and a much appreciated shout out to us hard working mommas.

Such a sad state for the SATC franchise. While no one ever expected reality--the entire SATC2 was a trainwreck. A bunch of poorly stitched together ideas; bad jokes--even the laughter by the cast felt forced; insulting portrayal of those living in the Middle East. And...how mortifyingly embarrassing was the karaoke "I Am Woman"--what the heck were writeres thinking--how did that even make sense. And...the side trip into women's poor treatment in the workplace--huh? As if that is a bigger deal that the treatment of women in Middle East? Good grief...just a huge train wreck! Otherwise, you won't miss much if you wait until it comes out on video. I went with a couple of friends and that's what made this movie experience especially fun. The movie was too long and dragged in too many scenes. The relationship between Carrie and Big is not believable -- by that I mean, there was no chemistry between the two actors -- it was obvious they were just reading their lines. The wedding part of the movie was fun. The ending was a letdown.

In spite of bad reviews (from critics and friends), I thought SATC 2 was a good movie. Was it better than the first? No, but most sequels aren't. It was a little far-fetched at times, but I took it for what it was worth and enjoyed the fashion and the girls. I had a ladies night and all seven of us liked the movie :) I recommend it and will definitely be purchasing SATC 2 when it is released on DVD!

This movie was excellent, as the other one was. It starts out a little off beat and wacky. After the first fifteen minutes, the movie takes you away to a world of being a woman, which only a woman can appreciate. This is not meant for a man and my guess is that any bad review you read, such as hollywood.com review on this website, was written by a man and only a man. Any woman who is indeed a woman will appreciate this movie to it's fullest extent! There is always wisdom in the writing and purpose to the film's plot. It is not just about fun and drinking cosmos! It is about real life and how women feel and adapt to it every day. We are all the same. A confident, laid back man would give this movie four stars as well. The narration tells the story and it has so much deeper meaning than is on the surface. Enjoy the show and watch with open eyes and ears. A little cosmo before hand never hurts!!

I have been a HUGE sex and the city fan since the very beginning and I could not have been more let down by this movie. It was the first time in my life that i walked out of a movie before it was over. I ended up seeing it twice this weekend. The second time was because another friend wanted to see it. Now, I enjoyed the movie both times but it didn't surpass the first one. Sequels rarely do! My top 3 scenes were: Liza Minnelli performance, the 4 ladies singing and Carrie at the shoe kiosk. What I LOVED about 2 was the close bond the 4 have, the theme of women having a "voice", the exotic locale, seeing Aidan and Jerrod (not enough though), some of Samantha's funny one-liners and of course the shoes and clothes (very flowey, colorful and rich in textures). I didn't care for the 2 explicit Samantha sex scenes/how vulgar she was or the forced ending of the nanny's status. MPK (writer/director/producer) did an EXCELLENT job. Please pay attention to the dialogue. I recommend you see this movie and decide for yourself. Enjoy!

I thought it wasn't as good as the first one. The plot kinda sucked, but it was clear this movie was all about fashion and opulence. Although not filmed in Abu Dhabi b/c of the word 'Sex' in the title, I'm sure Abu Dhabi will get plenty of tourism off this movie. The movie was definitely for the fans - only an avid SATC fan will truly enjoy all of it. I don't think they should do a third...they're just about out of life scenarios...I will just enjoy replaying all of the seasons on DVD....best show ever!

I'm not a huge fan of these movies/ the series, but I don't think it was as bad as everyone said. It was good and went along with the overall theme of the series. I liked it but it's definitely not the best movie of the year.

I did not go see Sex in The City 2, for brain surgery! So anyone who reviews this movie as cheesy, or stupid, is an idiot! This movie was about having a good time, and that is what I did! So many amazing one liners, and the fashions were very hot! Impressed with the girls acting, Kristin Davis, was surperb! She has grown so much as an actress, BRAVO!. Sarah Jessica Parker is the heart of the movie, yet, Kim Cattrall is the movie! Cynthia Nixon is always the outstanding actress! GO SEE THIS FLICK, FOR A FUN TIME AT THE MOVIES! It is what is, and you will enjoy what it is!

long, better than I expected, less fashion, not as many biting fun lines that make the girls special. More girl talk than I expected but yet not enough like the good old days. But, some great one liners and scenes that are just great comedy and will have you just laughing at the writing.

It was nice to see the girls back in action at first but it got old fast and dragged on way too long. If you don't feel a strong desire to "see for yourself" save yourself time and money.
