The movie was good, it showed that the girls relationships will never change! It has mixed reviews I think because it was not as racy as some of the previous episodes or movies however, most of the girls are married now. I did like how it portrayed values in staying true in your relationship which is great because all too often folks feel divorce is normal and it is not. Don't be worried though, of course Samantha always entertains.

This was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. The non-stop puns, the over the top acting or non-acting, the ridiculous plot don't get me started that is just the tip of the iceberg. Wa,Wa, Wa I am rich and my life isn't perfect, blah, blah, blah...write a new movie where these women actually grow up. This was terrible!!

So disappointing! Movie never seemed to flow as it should have, some parts were drug out and it seemed like the parts that should have been "focused" on were rushed. Samantha was great if not a bit over the top in true Samantha fashion, Carrie seemed to turn into "that girl" who she's never been, Miranda seemed out of her normal character, too chipper, and Charlotte just "was". Best highlights of the movie: THE SHOES & THE FASHION!!! THEY WERE PHENOMENAL!!! Didn't hate the movie, didn't love the movie, but maybe wait until it releases on DVD.

I really enjoyed the movie. The main reason I went was I believe in friendship and the fellowship we are blessed to share with our brothers and sisters in Christ. I so wish they would leave off the sex scenes and the vulgar language, I don't think that is what makes the movie...it really takes away from the movie. The strength of the movie is people being there for each other no matter what! That is what your audience thrives on. Women need each other and this movie brings that home in a fun way. That and of course the cool clothes!

I think SITC1 was a much better movie. The sequel just didn't do it for me. Besides the fabulous shoes, everything seemed a bit far fetched. They made Samantha seem desperate and they blew up the whole Aiden scene over a kiss. Seriously!
It was a good to get dressed up and go out with the girls, but other than that, I think they shuold've stopped at the first movie. Maybe bring the show back with new characters.

If you are looking for a great follow-up movie from the first this is it! The girls are back and better than ever. A couple of twists in the movie kept it exciting. Samantha is back and truly makes the movie seem like old times. And trust me with a budget of $10 million for clothes - you will not be disppointed in that regards either.

I can't say it was "as good" as the first movie, but SATC 2 didn't dissapoint. We all wanted to know what the characters were up to now, and 2 took us on an adventure with the girls we all wish we could of been there personally for. They kept the same humor and of course fabulous fashion, and I hope they continue the storyline to a 3rd movie, even if it is just about Carrie and Big and married life. I think women across multiple cultures and roles in their life can relate to the circumstances the girls are going through, it's a good reality check.

I have been following SITC for a long time now. I feel like the movies have not brought the true light and meaning to the film. I also feel that in this movie the characters were very scripted; there was no personality in the film. I also noticed when they must have done an additional out take on a scene; like leading up to the wedding where Carries hair changed and also early on when they were having lunch; Samantha was missing a manicured thumb nail. I thought this was a professional director, so why would small things like this happen? Over all, I was very disappointed and will not recommend this movie to anyone.

The movie had messages about what it means to have trust, honesty and openness in a relationship. Also, there were important points in the movie about not having unrealistic expectations in a relationship. Especially it takes hard work to keep a relationship and make it a happy one. I loved message about being comfortable with who you are. I LOVE the shoes the main characters wore in the movie.

SPOILER ALERT!
The 4 soul mates of Sex and the City head to Abu Dahbi after Samantha is invited by a rich Shiek hoping to hire her as his hotel promoter. She wrangles a week of all expenses paid trip to this state in the United Arab Emirates for her, Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte.
Before they leave the country, though, we see how Carrie and Big have progressed through two years of marriage. Big still talks to Carrie like he's a character in a black and white film and Carrie finds scads of things to be bored of, despite the perfection of her life. There are approximately 600 full minutes of painful awkward sort-of arguing between the two of them about their marriage being without sparkle and whether its okay to watch tv and eat in at night.
Then we meet Charlotte's nanny. Of which, we see an approximately 600 full minutes of her braless breasts under thin tank tops. She doesn't notice the bra issue, of course, because that's so Charlotte to be okay with big huge see through boobs in her face all day, until Samantha points it out. Then Charlotte spends the whole trip to the UAE freaking about about her husband cheating.
Miranda's law firm has hired a partner who hates women and never lets Miranda speak. So Miranda quits. Naturally, when the women arrive in Abu Dahbi, Miranda's experience is poignantly juxtaposed against the birka clad women of the Middle East.
Just kidding. What the women actually do is sort of snicker about how birka's make it hard to eat french fries, talk about how the veil across the face makes it seem as if the culture encourages repression of women (a brilliant insight), and wander around Abu Dahbi in shoulderless dresses offending onlookers. Samantha eventually gets arrested for a public sexual display - kissing - and dismissed from the hotel owner as a potentail promoter. The film climaxes with Samantha in a public market, surrounded by men in white robes, picking up the condoms that have fallen out of her purse and screaming, "Yes, I have sex!"
I guess if the watchers of SATC are exceedingly stupid, this film might be the first time they consider existence in a fully masogynistic society, and maybe SATC is due some credit for expanding the experience of these women. But we've never been treated that stupid before by SATC. The handling of the issue of repression in a sophisticated and thoughtful manner is essentially nonexistent, and in fact, often devolved into slapstick.
At one point in the film, the women assemble in a side alley with a host of birka clad women, who then cast aside their birkas to show that, underneath, they wear Louis Vuitton and Prada. The Middle Eastern women exclaim, "We love fashion!" Carrie's voiceover sums up the experience with some senseless conclusion about how women around the world take age old traditions and tailor them to their modern version.
The entirety of the film is embarrassing and vacuous, without any of the irony of social elitism that SATC once had a sound grasp of (Charlotte's vintage skirt gets two kid sized handprints from her daughter in red ink and the film takes the whole thing completely seriously as Carrie says over the phone, I'm so sorry honey.) At one point, the women get up in an Abu Dahbi nightclub and sing I Am Woman. Samantha can be heard uttering lines like, "belly up to the bar girls" or, in response to the hot guy that appears out of the desert, "Mmmm, prince of my labia." Which might've been okay if the rest of the dorky one liners hadn't been laid on so painfully thick. My second least favorite scene (after the peekaboo fashion show under the birkas) was when the women go to the desert to ride camels and Miranda pulls out shopping bags filled with all new camel riding outfits for everyone. Such a shameful excuse for a costume change.
There was one really lovely scene, though. For whatever reason, Charlotte has a hard time admitting how difficult motherhood is (unlike Carrie, she tries to appreciate the very thing that she has finally gotten after years of yearning). Miranda sits her down, with cocktails, and they share the fears, guilt, and struggles of motherhood. It's sweet and funny and it works. Aside from that 5 minute scene, and when Big makes Carrie say vows at the very end, this movie's just a bunch of schmaltz. As if we all are so in love with SATC that we will just watch these women shop and giggle. As if we all said to ourselves, I love the SATC women and I wish I could see what it would look like if they all wore really great outfits on camels!
I almost love SATC that much. In fact, I am praying that SATC3 doesn't compound the guilt I feel of seeing SATC2, because I'll definitely be seeing it. Just, please! Writers of SATC3, go back to the series and try to remember what it's all about!
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I thought the fashions were fabulous and it was good to see the girls on the screen again. I agree with any comments that it was disrespectful how the girls dressed in Abu Dhabi and disrespected the religious views. Let's face it women have been killed for less which is obvious when Samantha was arrested and the man was nowhere to be seen. There are great vistas in the world and showing fashion and doing what comes natural are accepted in other places around the world. Italy......Spain....Hawaii

Forget the critics on this one! For SATC fans, we got just what we wanted. And for others new to the girls, you will love it. It has the fun of a romance novel, chicklit, and life. Now, you can make this a date night movie if you must, but think about laughing with your friends on this one. It covers how friendships are made, how they last and yes, how we need each other. You've got learning to be married, learning to be Mom, and learning the land of menopause! RUN to see this , it is a fun 2.5 hous!

Samantha is usually over the top even in NYC or LA (funny when your drunk) but why take her to an Islamic country for her to disrespect herself, and American women with her menopausal outbursts. When in another country it's important to "do as the romans do"
These are things the Moslems hate Americans for. Women do not dress that way in the Arab world unless they are asking for trouble or egotistical idiots! The rest was good, next time pick France or somewhere else.

I did not take my eyes off that screen for a second. It would of been a shame to miss the fashion, the style and all the familiar faces that I love so dear. I feel like I know these people.. and we all can be a bit predictable.. but I couldn't of laughed harder and had any more fun. It is fun just to sit back and be a spectator in some old friends lives. Once again, the girls do not dispoint. The movie has you laughing and crying and totally relating to the experiences they are going through. Carrie does some growing up about relationships, Miranda stays true to who she is and finds a new peace of mind, Samantha always on her sexual conquest and always love the situations she gets into, and of course Charlotte who finds out that it is okay to take care of herself. The reviewers were wrong once again, GO SEE IT, if you've seen all the others you won't want to miss this one!

I thought this movie was amazing. Personally I liked it better than the first movie, and I would recommend it to other people. I also thought it was the perfect girls night out movie. I loved the completely different situation the girls were in, I mean they were on the other side of the world and learning about new cultures and honestly it put a lot into perspective in my life, plus the relationship dilemmas were so real, people go though those situations of getting married and trying to keep the spark in it. Others in younger perspective go through the stage of getting older and having a mature relationship while wanting and still dreaming about or missing being young and having old lifestyles. So five stars from me!

In spite of the reviews, we loved this movie! Go see it and have fun. the Reviewers missed it! We laughed, chuckled and enjoyed our Memorial day movie. And the plot was meaningful not mundane! Miranda had to have courage to figure out her work situation, Carrie had some profound self reflection and Charlotte had to learn to be less hard on herself. These are important issues. Samantha was hysterical in the Arab Shuk with her sexual stuff...Go see it and enjoy

A $10M wardrobe budget? Really? The ladies looked like hookers in moo-moos for most of the movie. Carrie is trying to define her marriage? Really? She has a great guy, lives in a beautiful NYC apartment, she wears gowns around the house, and eats out every night ... and she's unhappy that Big wants to stay in & watch TV? Charlotte is stressed? Really? Baking cupcakes with 2 kids in white vintage couture & then crying when her skirt gets dirty just comes across as spolied mom out of touch with reality. Samantha losing her libido? Really? The whole Samantha plot line was silly and disrespectful to Middle Eastern culture ... not to mention unprofessional since she was visiting Abu Dahbi as a guest of a potential client. Silly all around. What a bunch of whiny broads.
