Honestly, I have to say I was completely surprised. I didn't read the books and wasn't sure what to expect walking into this movie, but it was capturing right from the beginning. The characters were well played and I loved storyline of a reporter finding a murderer. The scenes were a bit graphic - that's the only thing I would warn anyone about - but if you can get past that, it's an awesome movie. The movie made me want to read the books to find out what happens next.
Rooney Mara's character was amazingly played. Some of the things the character, Elizabeth, endured is unreal and how she concurs over it all, to me she is a role model. She is strong and figures out her own way of dealing with daily issues of people taking advantage of her and the fact that she is a ward of the state. She really works through all of it and the love plot between her and Daniel Craig, Mikael, helps to hold the plot interesting to a woman audience. However, it's a great movie for both male and female audiences. It was intriguing with the scenes, the places the movie took place, and the people who were being investigated.
Really, I would recommend this movie to a friend, but it's definitely a rated R film and would say it's not a date night movie. But it's a murder mystery movie that is in depth.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was amazing. The action in the movie was suspenseful and yet there was a nice balance of a focus on the relationships within the movie. Hermione's relationship with Harry was revisited and shown that even in tough times, even when Ron and Hermione were going through a rocky time, and Hermione was weak they still stayed best friends. It was amazing also to see Ron and Harry come together and no matter how mad they may get at one another they are still best friends. That was the part of the movie I liked best. I did however love the action, and the CG. The movie almost felt real and I had a hard time leaving the theater. But Amazing!
I thought this movie was amazing. Personally I liked it better than the first movie, and I would recommend it to other people. I also thought it was the perfect girls night out movie. I loved the completely different situation the girls were in, I mean they were on the other side of the world and learning about new cultures and honestly it put a lot into perspective in my life, plus the relationship dilemmas were so real, people go though those situations of getting married and trying to keep the spark in it. Others in younger perspective go through the stage of getting older and having a mature relationship while wanting and still dreaming about or missing being young and having old lifestyles. So five stars from me!
