So I went to see this movie with several of my friends over the weekend. We drove to Baltimore, to have dinner and see the movie. I must say the dinner conversation about the movie was better than the movie itself. We all were very disappointed.

If you love clothes and lush furnishings see this movie. The fashion and scenery overwhelm the movie's message, if there was any, but that's ok. It was a visually stunning movie, with some funny moments and frankly I didn't expect much more.

Flat out, the first movie was better. The clothes, places, and people were beautiful as usual; however the story dragged at times and wasn't as funny or touched the heart like the first one. The response to Carrie's mistake was unbelieveable and I thought there would have been more conflict with each character like in the first one.

I laughed and I cried, just as I did watching the first movie. The plot was a bit extreme, and I would have liked to see more New York City and Mr. Big, but all in all, I loved it just has I do the series and the 1st movie!

I love the girls and the Sex and the city brand so YES, You have to see the movie. I had been excited and waiting for the movie to come out since the day they announced there would be a sequel. Not to mention the media hyped the movie up to the 100th power so I was expecting something better and more exciting than the first. I was so anxious I went to the midnight showing the day it opened. Lets just say…I was disappointed. Seemed like the girls were on vaca the whole movie. And once they rtnd home, the movie was over. I expected to see more of what was going on w/their lives in the city. There was no suspense because of all the previews I had seen prior to the movie debuting. The previews show the whole movie, in a nutshell. As soon as you see the dior shirt you think…oh, she is about to see Aiden. Thankfully I saw it twice. And the second time around was better for me. Also, whoever made the trailers deserves an Oscar. All the best parts of the movie were showcased in the preview making it appear the movie was going to be “no doubt” fabulous.

Wait to rent the movie. Nothing really exciting happened. The TV show had been abt the fun lives of these single women. Now, they are older and going through menapause. Not so much sex and the city anymore. It was more like middle-aged women and their boring lives now.

Loved it...I agree with most when they say that it couldn't top the first, but I must say that it did the job....very funny and the location was incredible...I think Kim Cattrall and her over the top menopausal antics were scene stealing hilarity at it's best....Loved it all the way through!

I thought it was pretty boring. I stayed for a little over half and i just couldnt watch anymore. I liked the first one, but this one doesnt even compare. My friend and I decided that the only way we would watch it again is if we made it a drinking game to drink every time there is a horrible outfit. That is all that could make this movie good.

I must admit I was a little worried in the beginning when I saw Liza Minelli's performance because SHE ROCKED!! What could they do in that movie to keep up with that? Well they did and the movie was fantastic. Lots of laughs and so much I could relate to. It goes without saying the fashion was to die for.

SATC the TV series was always about sex, fashion, and fun and not much past that. That's what this movie is. If you're looking for the character development and plot arcs of the first feature film, you will be sorely disappointed (like I was). If you're looking for an extended 2 1/2 hour TV-like episode, then you'll be in luck. The ladies trot around in high fashion, fab shoes, and provide a few laughs here and there. The soundtrack is fabulous as is the scenery. You'll leave with a desire to travel and get together with the girls, but thats about all you'll get out of this film. For those on the fence, wait for rental. It's certainly not worth the high price of movie tickets these days.

I love the Sex and the City. I loved the the first movie. SATC2 was big let down for my friends and myself. This movie had very little plot to follow. It appeared to be choppy and poorly put together to the point that nothing really flowed as it did in the first movie. Its was very cheesy (e.g. singing I am woman hear me roar) We were greatly disappointed. My suggestion is to wait for dvd.

If you are a true SATC fan, this sequel delivered. All the characters remained intact, as they move through different stages in their lives. The fashion and scenery was oppulent, and it was a great escape with some old friends. The bad reviews were mostly from men, who obviously aren't SATC fans. This movie felt more like the old episodes of Sex and the City than the first one. I really loved it! It was funny and it was awesome to see how their lives have changed with marriages, kids, etc. The beginning marriage sceen was kind of corny, but Liza Minelli was funny. I'm a die hard SATC fan, so for me this movie was just okay. The first one was more believeable in my opinion. This one was more....cute. Overall, the movie was great. I would recommend waiting for DVD rather than spending the money to see it in theaters. It seemed overtly obvious (AWKWARD) at times that extra measures were taken to ensure that each person in the scene had a line. With all the rumors of the casts outrageous demands and egos, it was apparent that lines had to be added. The girls were great though and the scenery was excellent.

I loved this movie! My expectations were low because I thought there was no way they could improve on the first but I was so wrong! I loved the location, and I thought this movie was much funnier than the first. I plan on seeing it again with a different friend!

I watched SIC all through the 90's. When it ended I was sad to see it go. As I'm sure many woman did, we grew to love the characters and related to them and envied them one way or another. All my girlfriends raced to the theaters to see the first movie and we did it for the second and we would do it for a third. I do admit the plot of the movie could have been better but all in all we laughed, we cried, we screamed and we clapped to the four woman we loved so much. So to the haters "Take your Manolo's and stuff it where the sun don't shine".

Sex and the City 2 certainly lived up to my expectations. I'm so glad I didn't go based on the reviews, I went because I really love the Sex and the City saga... Unfortunately, the reviews were not so great, but fortunately the movie turned out to be a great follow-up to the first. Anyone who's a true fan of SATC will appreciate how the characters lives have developed! Go see the movie, you will not be dissapointed!!!
