I think the movie was waaay too long with no real plot line. Traveling to the middle east seemed pointless and the time they spent there was too long. I'd rather see them go on adventures in New York City. Also, I thought the movie was going to develop each character when showing the flashback to the 80s. The movie should have centered more on the origins of the four girls meeting each other in NYC rather than a random trip to the Middle East with musical outbursts. Overall, this movie needed a better script with not so cheesy lines and better plot.

The movie was fun and funny. It was still the same Sex in the City that everyone loved. It was a little long in some places but all in all I would recommend. I think this was the final way to end the story. If you are looking for oscar worthy performances this is not the movie for you. If you are just looking for fun and a way to laugh and enjoy then go see Sex in the City!

Not a macho movie. Appeals to the softer side. The best character parts in the movie were the servants to the girls when staying at the Abu Dhabi hotel. Entertaining. A little overlong, though Samantha would beg to differ, if you know what I mean - and that's how the whole movie went.

I never thought I would say this, but SATC 2 is a terrible movie. Groanable one-liners, bizarre fashion, and just a general waste of time. I am a huge SATC fan and have seen every episode and the first movie, and I wish they would have stopped there. Who wrote this movie? Can't possibly be the same writers, or they were really bored with the process. The wedding was the best part of the movie and of course the designer clothes. There was none of the usual "zip" between actors, just very slow moving, with some things way too over the top. I love, love, love these characters and have since the beginning. I have always said I can never get enough SATC, but I was wrong. It could have been an hour shorter and still told the same stories. Carrie recyclyed outfits from the HBO/TV days, Charlotte was too whiny, Samantha was menopausal and Miranda was...actually Miranda was fine. She was the only one that didn't annoy me.
Surprise cameo by Ron White (one of my fav comedians) as Miranda's a-hole boss was a treat.
I would say if you love SATC, you will like this movie just fine, as I did. If you are not a die hard, you will most likely come out of the theater wondering where the last 3 hours of your life just went.

I can't get enough of the girls. When will the next movie come out! I saw this movie on premier night and again yesterday - twice in one week. I can't wait to see it again. Although I am a huge SATC fan, I was a liitle disappointed in the movie plot, or lack therof. I thought it could have been much stronger, especially the struggle of married life between Big and Carrie. It would have been nice to see less of Abbudabi and more of NYC; maybe even more of how they became friends. The repore among the girls was still the best part of the movie and it was good to see them openly discuss the challenges of getting older.

I went to the movie on 5/30 with 2 girlfriends. I am a SATC fan, one is a die-hard fan, and the third has only seen a few episodes and watched the first SATC movie recently. Turns out the friend that wasn't a fan liked it better than myself and the friend that's a die hard fan of SATC. I didn't expect greatness going in based on the reviews even though the preview made it look exciting. I liked parts of the movie, but was less impressed than expected.
The wedding at the beginning, over the top which is fine, but dragged on way too long. The plane scenes were pretty good and there were some funny moments in the dessert. However, the whole storyline with Aiden was boring, Charlotte whined so much it was annoying instead of funny, Samantha was made to seem like a washed up sex addict to the extreme (would have been funnier if they'd toned it down a bit as it made her seem totally desparate), and Miranda was the bright spot with a new lighter attitude. And, as a side note (with no political view attached), they could have done a little less of the pointing out differences of culture as it became overdone quickly.
The fashion was great, but this isn't one I'll bother to rent to watch a second time. If you are a die hard fan, go ahead and see it...just note that as my die hard fan friend did, it just doesn't live up to the series or the first SATC movie.

It was painfull at many points and tedious the rest of the time. Saw the first one and could see right away why some of you would really be into these movies. I've seen plenty of the shows and again could see why some of you would really be into them. I saw this movie and was very disappointed. They had those girls looking like damn clowns during 90% of the movie. The story behind the movie was terrible as well. The only good part of this movie was the song they used at the very very end of the movie (Cindi Lauper - True Colors). This let me leave the theater with something good in my head even if it had nothing to do with the movie itself.
But again don't bother wasting your money on this one. Wait until it hit video. It won't be long and you'll still be just as disappointed and my wife was.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I feel very much the same way as KEL25... laughed right out loud in several spots; no tears however. Great movie to see with your girlfriend's.

It was funny, witty, entertaining. I enjoyed it the entire time, and was so happy to see quality Sex and the City!

It was a great movie. It was funny, exciting, and even had a few tears. I have watched the series and now both movies....I was pleased!!!

I thought the movie was funny and fun. It was about the progression of relationships, fashion and friends. Not sure what some people were "hoping" for, but I thought it was a fun night out and a good movie to watch!
