My husband and I liked the movie. It was good, but I must say that Jay Baruchel's character (Dave) was annoying all through the movie. They should of picked a different actor for his part. It did move slow in parts but all in all it was a good show.

I really enjoyed this movie. It was fast with little slow parts. The action had great feel to it. Jay Baruchel's character (Dave) was annoying until the end, and then a little bit at the end. I enjoyed Nicholas Cage in this role. I look forward to the sequel. But the ending is American.

I was pleasantly surprised at how fun that movie was to see. My 11 and 8 year old grandsons really loved it and I enjoyed it too. The fast paced action, special effects and humor just enhanced the good vs. evil excitement. This is a movie for the whole family and ranks up there with Back To The Future. I chose this movie to see on my birthday over Eclispe. Even though I will still see the other movie I definitely made the right decision. Non stop action and great special effects only added to the performances of the actors. Nicolas Cage and Alfred Molina do not disapoint. Take your kids. I'm finding it hard to understand why this great, engaging fantasy would warrant any negative reviews; I consider myself a reasonably good judge of what makes a great movie vs. a piece of tripe. This film grabs you right from the start & pulls you into its world of magic, complete with dazzling special effects that only add to the overall joy of the story itself, & there are plenty of great moments of laughter as well as heart-touching sequences. Jay Baruchel, who along with Michael Cera comprise the top level of Hollywood Nerd-dom, puts in his usual whiny but you-end-up-liking-him-anyway performance, Nicolas Cage rises magnificently to the occasion as his Master Sorceror, & Alfred Molina & the always-scary Alice Krige play ultimate evil antagonists. I loved every minute of it & would go see it again.

Watching Sorcerer's was so much fun! I loved this movie. It is entertaining for all ages. There was a lot of action and the special effects were awesome. Like how the car changed into a different model when he touched it. I found Nicholas Cage convincing as the Sorcerer and he made us feel like he was enjoying his role as Balthazar. His apprentice, Dave, had some fun one liners. I am recommending Sorcerer's Apprentice to everyone, because it is a film you can enjoy watching and it keeps your interest. We really enjoyed seeing this movie together as a family. It was funny, romantic and kept us engaged throughout the film. The transition from each period was handled smoothly. Maybe we are just prejudice, because our daughter was in the background of the opening scenes with the school kids !

I really like how the premise was explained in the beginning. The movie seemed to be going at a good pace but three quarters of the way through the movie, it seems like someone realized the movie might run a little long so they hurried up to finish.
