I really enjoyed this film, the screenplay seemed to capture the essence of the story really well (although not scene for scene, line for line), for the first two I went home to re-read the books for the parts that I loved that were left out of the movies. The film wasn't as "pretty" a film as New Moon, with Slade going back to the strange too close, close-ups which were sometimes distracting. Also, the colors were more muted (darker) which was probably intensional being a darker subject matter. The action seens were really great and captured the book really well. Overall I really enjoyed the movie, the character development was great and the actors were incredible. I will go to see it at least one more time while it is still in the theaters.

Eclipse may be the best of the series. Moved along quickly. It will be intriguing to see where Stephenie Meyer takes the ideas and characters in this series next...we can't wait! My teenage daughter and I enjoyed equally!

I thought they did a great job keeping with the book. Sometimes the make-up looked a little weird to me, and what's up with Emmet's hair? He looked like a character from Star Trek! But the action was totally awesome and Edward, well............what can I say, I'm in love!

Oh what a movie.... I am so glad I bought my movie tickets online and picked them up early because the lines were long. We got there about 45 minutes early and we got good seats still. But you talk about a packed house not a seat in the theater left and we went to the 7 pm showing.
This movie was so much better then the last 2 I think. I'm not a huge Twilight fan like my 2 daughters are and I had to sit in between the team Jacob one and the team Edward daughter. I did enjoy this movie defiantly well worth the price of the tickets.
My girls kept asking me what team would you be on and I said TEAM JASPER :-) He just is so cool.... He would be my favorite.
I still haven't read the Twilight Saga but my middle daughter has read the Saga 3 times and I let her tell me all about them that way she wouldn't spoil it for the rest of my kids that haven't read the books. So I know how Breaking Dawn is and ends....
Now my girls want to go back to watch it again. I liked this movie and I would say it's one that I would go back to see again at the movie theater however I told them they have to wait tell the DVD comes out.

I loved the book Eclipse so I definitely had high expectations for the movie. I'm happy to say that I wasn't disappointed! There was a perfect mix of action and romance and jealousy. I probably didn't blink throughout the entire movie. Overall, it was amazing and I'm going to see it at least one more time in theatres.

I went to the midnight preview, it was excellent! I was so happy I saw it! It had lots of action and way better than the other twilight movie! Don't recommend kids under 11 to watch it . I was happy to see more men in the crowd this time...I guess its not a chick flick anymore! lol! Team Jacob!

This is definitely the best of the twilight Saga. You will love the dynamics between Jacob and Edward! The fight scene was awesome and we're seeing more of Emitt's personality...he's my new fav. Go team Edward!

My wife and 13 year old daughter are big fans of both the books and the movies. I struggled reading the books, simply because it was difficult to relate. However, I have enjoyed watching all of the movies with them...and we all thought Eclipse was a huge improvement over New Moon.
There were some slow parts, but they injected a little more humor into this movie which helped tremendously. My only real issue was how Jacob's desire for Bella was portrayed. It was a little too "stalker-ish"...she should have smacked him with a restraining order, rather than a kiss.
Overall, we enjoyed the movie and look forward to the finale.

I thought this was a pretty good movie and the BEST out of the three.
What I loved was that they stayed close to the story line in the book. All movies stray a bit but I thought they did a really good job pulling it all together. I enjoyed the humor that was added every now and then which reminded me a lot of the book. The backround of some of the other characters like Rose and Jasper added to the movies depth as well,.
What I didn't like was that I felt as though the director or Hair and Makeup couldn't seem be make up their minds on how they wanted to visually portray the Cullen's...I felt as though they started out like the first movie, on the harsh side of looking like a vampire to a very warm everyday look by the end. Edward might have actaully had more color to his skin then Bella in the last scene. I'm not sure why they varied their "look" from scene to scene. Their hair seemed a bit over processed too ....Emmit"s hair looked like he was wearing a black helmet at times. I felt as though they did a great job on the rest of the cast though ...

I have made it a point over the years to see the film before reading the book. This way the movie is just a preview of a bigger story. Since I haven't read Eclipse yet, I'm not sure how the book can top this film. I am a 54 year old married male and saw the film with my (nearly) 20 year old daughter and we both enjoyed it very much. The extra history for two of the vamps contributed much to the film as well as the over all interaction between the vamps & werewolfs gave more depth to the story. My 86 year old mother enjoyed the first 2 films and is looking forward to seeing Eclipse. Either you like the stories & films or you don't. We do!

I must admit that I was really looking forward to this movie as Eclipse was my favorite book. I truly enjoyed the entire movie, and plan to see it again, DESPITE the fact that it does not follow the story from the book. The pace was great and there was action throughout which made it a completely awesome experience. And thank you David Slade for all the fabulous shots of Edward. :)
