I'm not a crazy fan of the novels I think the over all emasculate of the vampire genre and sheer disregard for the mythos is a crime. However, if i overlook that and believe me it is. I thought this movie was really good acting dialog and the overall story was crafted well. The tone of the move was good color setting etc. I would recommend this to my friends if i did not think they would beat me and set me up in a pike for saying so.

This was by far the BEST of the 3! Very close to the book, very beautiful! Action was so cool. The only thing I think could have been different was not to have so much of the newborns. However, it is necessary for the select few who have not read the books! I can't wait to see again.

This a great movie! For those who say that it's not enough like the book are being ridiculous because you can't fit the book in a 2 hr movie but they did a great job making the movie. I would most def watch it again in theaters and I will also be purchasing it in blueray when it comes out...I can't wait for Breaking Dawn part 1!!!

Read all of the books. Saw Twilight and New Moon prior to Eclipse. Eclipse gave us better acting, makeup, and effects! Best in the series so far-especially if you are "Team Jacob"! Well done.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse was definitely the best Twilight movie that has been made. Although the movie was not as good as the book, but no movie ever ranks as high as the books it was still very good. I would recommend this movie to my friends, my family, and strangers. However, I would not recommend this movie for little children. There are some scenes that are a little sensual and some scenes were very violent. For example in the scenes where the New Born Vampires (young vampires) are killed, you see The Cullens and The Wolves ripping the New Born's heads off. I personally loved this movie but everyone has their own opinion!

Favorite of all three. The tent scene is all that we hoped for..the guys did a great job. Really great acting by all this time--screams really make you jump. Can I say that the boys looked awesome!!

The acting seemed better, but it's hard to tell because, just like real teenagers, the actors don't enunciate or speak up. If you haven't read the dialogue in the book, you'll have trouble understanding what the heck they are saying!! The vampire and wolf effects are very good, and the added action could draw more male viewers. Would like to have seen more depth and development of each supporting character - more than a 10 second flashback of how each became undead. I'd have also liked to see the original actor in the Victoria role. Dallas-Howard is a great actor, but the look wasn't right and the break in continuity was distracting. This is a movie series that really should have tried to go beyond the book author's bad writing and made it better, though of course it's too late three movies in, and the author's dedicated followers would protest.

I really enjoyed the score and music which I think complemented the movie well and intensified every scene.
Also liked that Riley got a fair amount of play and screen time.... and that there was some explanation of his army.
My excitement for the movie was the fight scenes and trying to get Victoria....they were well choreographed even if everything was moving so fast (which I suppose would make sense given that everyone is suppose to be supernatural and thus super fast.)
The love triangle was good but seemed like there was something missing in the movie that was better felt in the book.
Eclipse was my favorite book of the series and this movie did not disappoint. Will definitely watch it again.

This movie was excellent! All twilighters will enjoy this movie very much, it's a must see! And if you've read the books, this movie was to the tee of the book. The only thing I didn't like, was the actress who took the role of Victoria. The other actress, is sooooooo much better.

I'm a die-hard Twi-hard so I was really looking forward to Eclipse. This movie did not dissapoint!!! There was plenty of action, romance, and even a little comedy. The person who wrote the screenplay did the book justice. I was very pleased with Eclipse, and I think I've turned some non-fans into Twi-hards!!! I definitely recommend the movie, and I'm looking forward to seeing it again and again!!!!!

Okay, I am a huge fan of the Twilight Saga books and probably too critical of most movies based on books, but I found Eclipse to be sorely lacking in details from the book that I felt were intrinsic to the story and should have been included in the movie. I felt that Eclipse could have been made into two movies to cover the book adequately, as they are going to do with Breaking Dawn. I suppose that due to the astounding number of 'tween fans, that these screenplays have been geared toward them and not toward the more mature audience. Honestly, though the books are not graphic in nature as to the actual physical attraction between Bella and Edward, it is strongly inferred in the books and especially in Breaking Dawn. As an actual member of the "Grandma Twilighter" fandom, I would like to see more of this portrayed and not skimmed over so lightly in Breaking Dawn. I can't figure out how exactly that the next movies will be able to be rated PG-13 without taking out the most important elements of E & B's pre and post nuptial intense sexual behavior, but I'm sure they'll find a way to gloss over that too. That said, back to Eclipse. I took my 16 year old grandson and his girlfriend to the midnight opening here in Glendale, AZ and waited in line in the staggering heat for hours just to see this movie. I was not totally disappointed, after all Jacob was totally hot, and my companions said they really liked it and neither had read the book. Not as good as I'd hoped for but not awful either. I did not like the new Victoria, would have also liked to have seen more about Riley, Bree, and the newborns' story (have read the book on Bree), and not so many out of context scenes. I would and have recommended this movie to friends and family that are fans, conditionally, that they go to an early showing and not pay the full evening theatre ticket price. Hope this review doesn't offend anyone, it's just that it's coming from an older person who can discern quality from mediocrity.

This movie was just great. It was better then the first two! It was even better, when we were got a surprise visit by Charlie Bewely one of the Volturi vampires! SO awesome. I've seen it 4 times already, and I will be seeing it a few more times :)

I am a middle aged woman who has read all the books. This was my favorite of the books and the movies. It was all I hoped it would be. I liked that there was more background information about a few of the Cullens. I was afraid they would leave that out. I hope Breaking Dawn will be as good.

My family and I really enjoyed the movie. It was great that they managed to get some history of the Cullen's in there. We all agreed that we would have liked to see more of the final climactic fight at the field and more of Bree and company. We wouldn't mind another 30-45 minutes in the theater to see it. Definitely worth seeing though!

I loved this movie. It was a lot better than New Moon. I love the series so it's hard to go wrong but Melissa Rosenberg did an incredible job on the screenplay. I didn't remember the sacrifice story from the wolves and then mirrored by Bella to save Edward toward the end from the book. It was WELL DONE! The acting was a lot better in this film. Twilight will always be my favorite. I was compelled to see it again and again. This one I'd be open to see again but I am okay if I have to wait for the DVD. All this said, GO SEE IT : ) I do like the original Victoria better. She was a stronger actor. NBD though.

This movie was the best! It was full of action, romance, and humor! It was surprisingly funny too! I WOULD NOT recomend this for kids under 10 or 11, because of the very intense fight scene, where Victoria's army of newborns (young vamps) get ripped apart. There is no blood, but they crack like glass. Victoria also gets beheaded by Edward, and her head crumbles off of her body. This movie was the best so far!
