Expanded cast built stronger legs for story to stand on. Kept interest throughout entire film. Further developed characters beyond the main "triangle" was a much needed and timely choice.
Was the plot worthy of Shakespeare? Going for an Academy Award? -No. It's the Twilight series. And anyone whining should have thought about that before choosing to go. Really. It's some lovesick teenagers intertwined with surreal elements of fantasy. For what it was and what it was supposed to be, it was a wonderful two hours of pure unadulterated visual pleasure.

I think the husbands and boyfriends will enjoy this one more than the other two. The complexities of the sci-fi part of the plot have kicked in and this makes for a very interested plot/movie. If you have not read the book, however, you may want to take someone who has read it with you, as there is so much more the Volturi motivations and vampire gifts that makes this series so much fun. And FINALLY Bella grows a pair and *starts* to get tough.

I absolutley love the Twilight series. It's defintely an enjoyment at any age. Eclipse was my favorite book and I felt the most romantic, and although the movie isn't exactly like the book, I thought it was a wonderful variation with great action, comedic, tumultuous surprises. I enjoyed watching it. I probably won't see it in the theatres to see it a second but I know I will purchase the movie when it's released and I'm excited to see Breaking Dawn! It's defintely a great movie but don't go in with your preconceived book notions and fantasies, just sit back and enjoy it for the great movie it is. The entire cast did a excellent job emotionaly and otherwise for me. Overall, even with my book fantasies, I was not disappointed :)

Eclipse is for girls with its over the top romantic plot, but that's to be expected, that's what it is. I'm a guy and I've always enjoyed the vampire, werewolf portion of the story; unfortuanately there's never enough of the horor part. The tension finally comes to a boil and there's a big final battle that lasts about five minutes, so guys you have a long time to wait for the payoff. The humor is what really saves this movie, both Jacob and Edward get a few lines that'll crack anyone up who's a little tired of all the brooding. I appreciate the attempt to keep some morals in a movie, and to keep the voilence to a minimum. That's rare but again they did make these movies for teenage girls. My only real complaint is Dakota Fanning, she's horrible, stale, and her character lacks any depth. Oooh she causes pain by looking at you. She caused me pain by watching her, I wish her character met her demise at the end of this one because I know my wife will force me again to see the next movie. If you're a teenage girl you'll love it, if your a guy and your wife makes you go you may find some things to enjoy, but if you're a single guy who loves football and real action movies this won't be your cup of tea.

I read the books and felt New Moon and Eclipse should have been one book. I think though that the Eclips movie was better than New Moon.
Great battle scene!!!
The acting is still all pretty terrible, but at least we got more vampire action.

Twighlight was my first twighlight experience, not really thinking I would enjoy the whole vampire thing but i loved the movie , the actors and the story line. So Eclipse was high on my go see list. I enjoyed it so much but found Edward a bit wimpy and boring. jacob on the other hand had my attention the whole movie,he was real and much more passionate and attractive. I think Bella is torn between her decison. I loved all the characters and the story line was very exciting and action packed. I will go see it again just to make sure I didnt miss any bits. Seeing Taylor / Jacob again wil be worth going again...

Some of the best parts of the book were left out of the movie. I found myself racking my brain to remember some of the key points in the story line. If you're a true fan of the books, this movie is disappointing, at best.

This brings back the bad feelings I had when I left the theatre after watching the Matrix Reloaded movie - The second in the series of three. This Eclipse movie parallels the matrix in the fact that there is lots of action and special effects, but nothing of sustainance other than they knocked off Victoria. Big deal! They could have done that in the first 1/2 hour. Edward asked Bella to marry him again and again. Nothing new here. There is a love triangle between the couple and Jacob - big surprise. And they have not consummated their relationship or changed her to the cold side. What a rip off. No new developments! Oh yeah, I forgot, the Volutri are still coming after her if they don't change her. Whoop dee do. I am mad I spent the money. I should have justed waited for the fourth in the series.

The actors are more comfortable in their roles and have a good story to tell in the third Twilight film ECLIPSE. The film's budget was increased and it made a big difference especially with the CGI wolves (are you sure they aren't real?) and better hair and makeup. It is better if you have read all the books in order to understand and appreciate the story even though the script included many "key" scenes. I wasn't sure I wanted to have BREAKING DAWN made into a movie but after seeing this, I am counting the days. Whether you are Team Edward (yes) or Team Jacob, you are going to enjoy this movie.

Eclipse is excellent! The cast couldnt be more perfect. I didnt like Kristen as Bella in Twilight or New Moon, but she's really came into her role in Eclipse. Great action scenes. I CANT WAIT 'TIL BREAKING DAWN!

I loved this Movie, i am Defiantly gonna see this again, i was happy when i saw that they didn't change a lot of the scenes from the book, Haha u know its good when my brother doesn't like Twilight but take his Daughter anyway, and ends up loving the movie, i just wish we could hear the inner monologue of the Wolves thoughts, cause in the book we hear everything they think, But yeah Awesome Movie, a Must see, I know I'm gonna see it again!

This movie definitely lived up to all the hype! It was great! David Slade did a good job directing this one and the action that we finally get to see in this one was amazing, so cool! It was also nice to have the love triangle fully functional for this movie. Twilight was 'Edward's movie', New Moon was 'Jacob's movie' and Eclipse is a tug-of-war played out very nicely.

Again they differed from the book, but they almost have to in order to adapt it into a movie. That being said I think that they did it well. I personally love seeing the scenes playout on screen as I have already envisioned them while reading the books. I think in order to truely appreciate the movies you have to have an open mind, have read the entire series and be a fan of it.
