Having seen only the first Twilight installment and being the only male in a sea of tittering female tweens (proud father of a Stephenie Meyer junkie), I'm surprised she was able to coerce me to this much ballyhooed sequel. I must say, it was much more enjoyable than the first, over-potent teen love triangle aside, however, the action sequences were well done and the effects were equally tasteful, if flesh is your preference. Bottom line, worth the off-prime price of admission and entertaining for the whole family. And is it just me or is Jackson Rathbone the next Johnny Depp? Someone get that guy a power agent.

. . . is the word to use when reviewing this movie. It is faithful to the Meyer vision and faithful to the fans of the vampiric sub-genre. In short, if you buy into the Twilight franchise, you will have a very enjoyable 2 hours.

I feel the way about this movie that I felt about New Moon when I walked out of the theater. However, I re-watched New Moon at home on my own TV and it was much better, so I expect the same will happen with this one.
Overall, I found the movie to be slow and too ponderous, just like I did New Moon. Too much dialogue, not enough action. Maybe this is the way junior high school girls process thoughts (I can't remember, it was too long ago for me) so perhaps this works for their main audience.
I am increasingly finding the lack of physical interaction on the part of Bella and Edward to be kind of ridiculous. Even in MY short lifetime (compared to Edward) my own moral stance on sex being "evil" has changed dramatically. It is a natural and beautiful part of life, and I find it hard to believe that Edward hasn't emotionally "evolved" in 99 years. Very frustrating for me. But again, I am not 13. :)

I've been waiting for eclipse because I'm a fan of the series. I've read the books and now have seen all the movies made so far. Good against evil is always an adventure with action. Some might say it's a chick flick, but I'm a fan of wolves on every level. See it and enjoy.

I took my 8 and 10 year olds to see this movie last night. It was a pretty good movie. I like the way that the movies actually stay together and the story continues.

I loved the movie... It is now my favorite movie out of the three. However, I did not like Bryce Dallas Howard as Victoria. I wish Rachelle LeFevre had played that role for Eclipse. Loved that they are finally showing Bella and Edward being intimate and loving with each other. A few lines/scenes seemed "off" to me... 1. when Bella said she was going to hyphenate her married name, 2. that becoming a vampire is not just about Edward, and 3. a few times Bella seemed overly snappy to Edward and it wasn't that way in the book. Still, overall...LOVED IT.

I have all 4 books and by far this movie is the closest to the book than the first two. Although things happen out of sequence in the movie from the book but the best movie yet. Make it more exciting for the last movie because the last book was the best one. Can't wait to see it.

Went to see this with my older mom friends. We were thoroughly entertained. Have read all of the books and they were better but the movie was wonderful (except for those silly wigs). I am totally hooked. It makes me feel happy. They are so sweet. The romance is wonderful and so innocent. I am so excited for Breaking Dawn!

I really enjoyed the movie Eclipse. I am a huge fan of the Twilight series and I was not disappointed in viewing this movie. I believe that it was the best so far due to the action, character rivalry and comedy. I would have liked, however, for the movie to end exactly like the book did. There was a lot of kissing--which seems more like Bella's narration in the novels. It was a wild ride that I fully enjoyed.

This movie was great! Although, I wish it followed the story line a bit more. You build so much up in your mind when you read the story- it was hard to see so much left out and rearranged. Don't get me wrong, I was stoked to see the big Wolf & Cullen vs. Newborns fight scene played out, but I think too much was left out that could have been included. I'm sooo glad they included more intimate scenes with Bella & Edward. The intimacy and some of the romance described in the previous books was also left out of the previous movies. So, good job on this one. Can't wait for Breaking Dawn. Haven't read that book yet, but I might wait until after I see the movie. Sometimes, when the movie leaves so much out, it's nice to have seen that first, before reading the book. The book ends up filling in the blanks, which is kinda nice.

This movie is the best of the three. However, the dialog is perfunctory, and the scenes were just snippets of various parts of the book which were rearranged changing the events of the book resulting in the flavor of the story being lost. Summit executives have missed the boat yet again. Summit cut corners, deviated way too much from the story line of the books. It is unfortunate Warner Brothers did not get the rights to this story as they did with Harry Potter. WB had enough forethought to make the movies sufficiently lengthy enabling them to follow the story line of the book. Because Summit missed the boat twice, I don’t hold out much hope for Breaking Dawn even with breaking the book into two movies

I think that the movie was very well played out. The book Eclipse was my least favorite out of all the four series but the movie changed my mind dramatically. The characters seemed very into their role so I am looking forward for Breaking Dawn since that was my favorite book out of them all. I know I will not be disappointed! :)
