This movie is action, drama, and its funny at times. What more could you want in a movie? I think they did a great job with the movie. We waited in line for 4 hours and it was worth it. If you have read these books and watched the other movies and liked them i think you will enjoy this movie. I was a little disappointed with the new Victoria. I thought she did a bad job as victoria. I think they should have kept the old one. But overall i think this was a great movie and would recommend you watch it.

overall it gives you a deeper insight of all the characeters by showing the past of all the cullens.. bella just couldnt decide!! the fighting was the best part due to all the romantic drama and tension.... youll love it if you love team jacob but for team edward.. it was heartbreaking and rewarding

I went to see this last night because of the continuation of the story, not because of the quality of the first two movies. I haven't read the books, but I got sucked in by the first two movies and just wanted to know, "What happens next???" I felt Twilight was a much better movie than New Moon: better written, better directed, better cinematography.
Eclipse, however, is literally one of the best made movies I've seen in several years. I dislike movies that are filmed so much in the dark that you can't see what's happening, and I could actually tell what all the characters were saying -- much less mumbling than in New Moon. Even the huge fight sequence was done in daylight, which was awesome, because it's so rarely done in any movie, really.
The additions to the cast were awesome, and whomever the new gal playing Victoria was -- she rocked that character.
This film didn't have any of the endless droaning on and on about secrets and whatnot that the first two did -- things were presented up front and in the open.
The comedic elements were awesome, and were weaved into the film extremely well. My kudos to the screenwriters, which I'm assuming was a different group than the first two films.
The fact that the writers and director chose to play up on the Jacob-Edward drama was awesome, as was the film's acknowledgement of the fact that the target audience of the film *wanted* to be swooning over Jacob -- that was awesome.
I own very, very few movies - this will be a "director's cut" worth buying, I'm sure.
And yes, Jacob *is* hotter than Edward, and it's ok that he doesn't own any more shirts. :)

This was one of the greatest of the series. It was a little shaky in the beginning I don't know if it was the theater we where at or the camera work? It was funny, action packed, love triangle.

I loved the action sequences, Slade has always been a good director for that. However I felt that the editing was choppy and the music didn't quite fit- Sorry Howard Shore! The creepy violin music made me feel like the Nazgul were creeping in… I felt the flashbacks for Jas and Rose as well as the Quiluete legend could have been a little smoother as well. The scripting was better and the acting was a bit better than the first two -I actually believed Bella and Edward were in a relationship this time- in the two previous movies the kissing and romance seemed a bit awkward.
Over all it was a good movie and I'd recommend it- this movie matches the book more closely than the two previous books combined.

Eclipse was definately better than first 2 hands down. I feel they really need to step things up in last 2 movies. I really think if they had different actors playing the roles of everyone it would be better. They just seem to have little to no expression or passion about anything. Over all they could have done better. I am glad they put more into this movie than last 2 which tells me the final 2 should be great.

Twi-hards will love the film version in Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight Saga." Director David Slade did an amazing job bringing the book to life. Like "Twilight" and "New Moon" - there are some minor differences but yet still very true to the book. Let the countdown begin to "Breaking Dawn."

I thought Eclipse was the best of the movies thus far. Rob and Taylor seem to be hitting their stride as far as acting goes. Kristen is still a little wooden for my tastes. I felt that the movie dragged on in certain spots. It's a little over 2 hours long, but it felt much longer. They elaborated on the newborns' story, which I felt was nice, but they could have done without certain other elements.
They had excessive closeups which were really distracting. The music was decent. There was a fair bit of overacting in some of the flashbacks as well as with the newborns. They movie also included scenes from Stephenie Meyer's new novella, which was nice.
One thing to be cautious of: do NOT see this movie with a lot of fangirls. They really ruined the experience for me by applauding in strange places and being noisy. The movie isn't bad by any means, but your audience can really make or break it for you.

I wasn't expecting much going in, based on both twilight and new moon. BUT OMG, Eclipse was absolutely amazing! They did everything right, and now all you Kristen Stewart haters have nothing more to complain about! I think she did great, and so did my friend that thinks she is a horrible actress! GO SEE THIS MOVIE! MULTIPLE TIMES!!

This movie was really good...it was full of everything a movie should be....action, romance, suspense, and comedy. For someone who did not read these books it was a great movie. My daughter read them and said they left parts out....but if you don't know there missing then you don't miss them. Two thumbs up from a mom!! And oh yah...plenty of wolf pack pecks to go around. LOL

This is by far the best of the three. They kept pretty close to the book and included most of the good stuff. I'm surprised they didn't talk about Quil (I think) imprinting on the child...guess they'll have to fit that in to Breaking Dawn somehow.

The movie it's self was excellent and stayed true to the book. I however went in with certain expectations, which I strongly recommend not doing. I love that Bella seems to really come into herself in this movie, realizing who she is and who she wants. GREAT movie, a must see!!!!!

It was wonderful! I loved the excitement and all the Twi-moms that were present. The movie was a lot like the book with so much detail. It was really great! It makes you really feel for Jacob even if your team Edward! It was wonderfully romantic and great cinematography!

I am a huge fan of the saga. Read the books, first to watch and buy the movies. This movie was the best yet! A++ The chemistry, the acting, of course the story line, loved the comedy brought in..all amazing!! I did not think the violence or the sexual content was too much for PG13. Nor did I think it took away from the movie. I think it added to it. Sequels mature, look at the content of the Harry Potter series. Left me wanting more! Can not wait for Breaking Dawn! Might have to see this in theaters again instead of waiting till it's out on DVD!

I loved this movie! But they definitely could have made it longer by about 15-30 minutes. After reading the books, the movie moved too quickly for my taste. I can't wait to see it again! Didn't love the soundtrack, but maybe after seeing it again today, I will.

Not that it's hard, but this was the best one in the series. Sure there was cheese factor, but the filmmakers finally learned to stick closer to the book and blend humor with the drama. One big help in the movie is that Kristen Stewart doesn't have many lines, and when she does speak she mostly didn't get on my nerves. I don't understand the take-a-deep-breath-hold-it-and-then-speak thing she does, but it was less jarring in this film than the previous two. Robert Pattinson was better as Edward in this than he was in New Moon, but he's still not as badass as he needs to be. The Edward/Jacob dynamic was really satisfying, and the action was exciting.

I have read all the books and have seen all 3 movies, this one is by far the best. It has everything....humor, action, romance. It explains in more detail about the history of the Quilluette tribe and Rosalie's strong opposition of Bella becoming "one of them". I can't wait to see the final installment of this epic love story.

This movie was better than New Moon. It had great effects and the storyline was smooth. It left me wanting more. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the replacement of Rachelle LeFever with Bryce Dallas Howard. Rachelle was the perfect Victoria.

this is without a doubt the best and most eventful book and movie of the series.
great chemistry between stewart (bella) and her guys. jasper (jackson Rathbone) holds a strong role in this installment and doesnt disappoint the audience. great movie will definitely see it more times!!!

I thought this movie was better than the first two. Worth sitting with my kiddo for 3 hours and only getting 3 hours of sleep b4 work! The crowd was really into it and the comical relief was done well. Loved it!
