A smart, edge-of-your-seat, visually stunning, and brilliantly acted piece of work. The film creators mastered the use sound, visuals and a story with really no beginning or ending to capture your imagination without letting go. I'm still thinking about it days afterwards. I was under the impression this fantasy land would exist in the future since this "dream technology" does not yet exist. If so, why are the cars, planes, and fashion so 2010? Had read a bit about this movie before going but it was still full of surprises. DiCaprio's performance is not Oscar material, but on the other hand I think Cotillard and Page are terrific, while Gordon-Levitt's performance is just a notch behind them. Watanabe is actually a bit wasted in this movie. Anyway, enough about the acting...the visual impact of the movie as well as the very complex plot is what drives it. People that liked the Matrix movies are going to dig this one. Leave your logic at home and enjoy!

Inception is the newest movie to come out of Christopher Nolan and he does not disappoint! From start to finish you were constantly hooked on the story line. The action sequences were something I had never seen before. Personally, I think it tops all the action scenes that Matrix has ever done. And the actors? PLEASE!! They only made the film that much better!! Without giving the movie away, all I can say is, WATCH IT! See it for yourself and experience it and then come back to me and give me your view on the ending. The ending is just...well, let me just quote the guy who yelled this out at the theater when the end came. "COME ON!!" GO WATCH THE MOVIE NOW! :D

I love the James Bond movies and if stranded on an island with only a few dvd's to keep me company I would take the Matrix series but that statement misses the mark. Great cgi, great acting, but way too long. When I'm in a great movie I don't want to look at my watch to see how far along we are. I don't need the hour and a half to explain the plot to me. The expectations raised by the hype probably did not help. The acting is good and the special effects are amazing, but the film is a tangled and overwhelming mess. A film should challenge the mind; this one mostly beats it down. It was hard to really care about the characters. The basic driving element - the idea to be implanted by the dream manipulators - was weak and implausible. Ellen Page, after a good start in the opening scenes, became a 2-dimensional character. I went into the theater ready to enjoy a great movie but was sorely disappointed.

This movie was breathtaking, brilliant and mind blowing!! Absolutely one of the most amazing movies I've ever seen in so many ways. The acting is superb - Leo Dicaprio has outgrown any boyishness left over from his teen heartthrob days and is now a fully mature man commanding tremendous respect with his performance. The cinematography is exhilarating, with the landscapes complex and detailed and changeable yet you fully understand what is going on inside them. The score provided by Hans Zimmer is a very seductive and powerful element supporting all the action onscreen. The story is intelligent, complex and very rewarding for the patient viewer - not that much patience is needed as the action and story move along at a very fast pace and never bores. But a few things that seem clipped short in the beginning come around to be fully explained by the end. The last few seconds of the film had everyone in the theater riled up. Absolutely a masterpiece of filmmaking!! I bow at your feet Christopher Nolan and Han Zimmer!!

Overall this movie was top notch. I can see why it received such high ratings. I really enjoyed the plot and thought that overall the movie was easy enough to follow. The story reminded me a lot of shutter island, at least in the role of Leo. Overall, 9 out of 10!

One of the most original plots I have ever seen. Don't know how Christopher Nolan pulled it off. If I tried to describe it to you here, you would say, "Huh?" The film is about a dream within a dream within a dream. The dream is happening at 3 and then even 4 levels. It's crazy but absolutely fascinating to see how it's done. There is also a mood and elegance to Nolan's films that I admire. I like the fact that men wear suits and look like men. DiCaprio, who I don't often enjoy, was even excellent in this film, and it was really something to see Tom Berringer all cleaned up and looking handsome in a suit. Go see it.

this movie is for those people who value visual pyrotechnics over a coherent story line. the movie simply makes no sense at all. It is terrible science fiction that looks incredibly good deCaprio is excellent as always, but Page has done better work in recent tv commercials. Peter Travers of Rolling Stone said that this movie can be discussed for days after seeing it. The movie itself was 2 and a half hours long (i think) but I swear, when it was finished, I was ready to walk right back in a watch it again - that good. This may be the best movie my husband and I have EVER gone to see together ! ! ! We went to a theater that offered D-Box Motion Seats and it was WELL worth the extra ticket cost. So amazing.

Very good movie. Not sure that it lived up to the hype, but it was solid. Fresh story that I dont feel like I have seen before, and Leo turned in another solid performance, although did not overshadow the story.

Loved this movie! I was really engrossed in the ever-twisting plot and the action. Great cast. Really liked DiCaprio and Joseph Gordon-Levitt especially. Would definitely see it again.
