Avatar was the best 14 bucks I ever spent !! It was my first IMAX 3D experience and I'm sure that I played it right. Go see it now !! Everything about this movie was great. It had it all. So I highly recommend it.

I loved the movie. I wanted to buy tickets for my grandkids to see it, which I did on line. Then I am informed I had to send the credit card with them or they would not get the tickets. Thanks a lot for nothing. I had to take a hour and drive 60 miles to show a clerk my credit card just so he would give them their tickets. Figure out a better way to do this or I'll never buy a ticket through you again.

Wow- what a movie! The almost 3 hours feels like 3 minutes!
Visually the most amazing movie I have ever seen- Must see in IMAX 3-D!
A bit political, and at time you knew exactly what would happen- but the idea is like nothing else.
This is one of those movies you MUST see in the theater!!

This is by far the most beautiful movie I have ever seen. The story is not full of surprises, but is still very captivating. The visuals are simply astounding and IMAX 3D is the ONLY way to go.

Avatar was a wonderful experience. I enjoyed the story line as well as the terrific development of the characters! :) It kept me on the edge of my seat from the beginning to the end.
I would definitely recommend it, especially in 3D Imax, it most certainly improved the experience.

Avatar was by far one of the most boring films I have recently seen. After the first hour I just wanted to walk out of the theatre, however I was there with my family. Sure the animation, special effects and etc. were nice to see, but the story line was uninteresting and unrealistic. You either love it or hate it. I personally hated it. Waste of 2 hours and 40 mins of my life.

This film was visually spectacular, with a decent (albeit predictable) plot to boot. It's a little slow at first, but it definitely speeds up, especially when the conflict becomes apparent. I was glad to find out that Avatar will likely become a trilogy.

I never write reviews. I usually will et friends and family know if its an ok movie o rnot, however in the case of IMAX Avatar 3D I was totally blown away. The ability after so many years to have the imagination that will knock your socks off is unbelievable. Go see this movie, this is the one on thirty years taht you can tell young people that you were there when it first came out.

Despite the obvious pro-environmentalism and anti-capitalism themes, Avatar is one of the greatest Science Fictions movies of all-times. The plot, although not flawless, is believable and easy to follow throughout the whole movie; the graphics are just absolutely amazing. Additionally, the technology advances on the movie were not exaggerated and reasonably maintained the realm of possibilities within the immediate future if space exploration was to be achieved within the next 50 to 100 years. I saw the movie on its 3D version on both a normal size screen and IMAX, both experiences were great, but the 3D effects on the smaller screen appear sharper than IMAX.

the surround sound added to three dimensional experience in a stadium setting was awsome. I had concerns about sitting off to the side of the theatre but my fears were pinned to the back wall from the beginning as I became completely immersed in the movie.

I was completely in awe of this movie. The 3-D experience was over-the-top. Outstanding plot, characters, special effects etc. I cannot say enough about this movie. I felt like I was there in the movie, IMAX experience for this movie is completely recommended.

Avatar Imax 3D was sold out at almost all the bay area theaters except San Jose Eastridge and AMC Mercado Santa Clara. watched it at Eastridge. it was not worth it. the screen is not even close to the same size as the Metreon Imax. it was just like watching a normal screen except 3d. if you're gonna watch imax, watch it at the metreon to get the full experience. The movie itself was great, but would have been a lot better at the Metreon.

While the special effects of this movie will grab you and hold you in your seat the storyline of this movie has been done before. It is a classic Good vs Evil plot. And the greedy white male is the evil one.
Don't know if it was the IMAX that did it or all the action but my eyes kept getting twitches for about 2-3 hours afterward and I had a really bad headache.

The movie gives a wonderful combination of visual expression and humanity inspiration. I was unable to differentiate the real scenes with virtual ones throughout the movie. IMAX is definitely recommended although the color brightness will be affected a little bit to trade for a better 3D feeling. Anyway, it's worth the price.

James Cameron has created what will turn out to be the highest grossing movie of all time. To say the story line is outstanding would be an understatement. It\'s almost a formula movie with the good guys and bad guys clearly defined. But it also contains some traditional B-grade emotionalism coupled with an impossible love story pitched against gargantuan odds. There is an underlying spirituality to the movie and it hints at long-standing difficulties between native cultures and our world\'s mining communities. Whatever the age, ethnicity or culture, there is something for everyone in this stunning movie.

Found another IMAX cinema and bought the tickets online.
The movie itself was certainly impressive. The history, acting, producing... everything was an excellent piece of movie art.
Enjoyable 100%.

Avatar 3D is a superb movie that draws the viewer into the experience in a stunning visual experiece like no movie before; with 3D graphics, incredible sights that keep you rivoted to the screen....and when it's IMAX, what an experience! James Cameron has raised the bar for directors; it will be difficult not to compare movies to Avatar from now on. The casting was excellent, the details of the movie were breathtaking, and the action was fast and encompasing; leaving me wanting it not to end even after the 2 hours and 40 minuts. The audience clapped....BRAVO!
