I could hardly take my eyes off the screen. It was state of the art as well as interesting. I did see it on the IMAX in 3D, and I'm sure it added to the special effects. I am not surprised to find out it is the second highest grossing movie of all time. I think young and old alike should check this one out. Anyone that has HBO should watch the making of the movie for a greater respect for all involved.

So completely mesmerizing that the 2 hr, 40 minutes fly by. Best movie to release in quite awhile - would see again tomorrow. Definitely a must see for everyone.

I was hesitant to see this movie with my husband - I thought it would be the typical action movie that I find boring. I'm SO glad I decided to go - it was amazing! We saw Avatar in 3D IMAX. I was sucked into the other world, Pandora, so much that the 2 hours & 40 minutes FLEW by. I didn't want it to end! I'm not ashamed to say I bawled like a baby during certain scenes and I am tempted to see it again. Definetly a must see, especially in 3D! Great date movie, because it appeals to those that like action & effects AND to those that appreciate a plot and love story :)

Due to the hype and trailers I went into the theater with high expectations. I left stunned. Yes, the story/plot is borrowed from other movies but in my opinion that doesn't detract from the overall experience. The special effects are so breathtaking and realistic you forget it's a movie. I haven't been this blow away since Terminator2.

Before I went to see it I heard so many people talking about it and read many posts on forums. Many thumb up and some picky on it. Eventualy I viewed it in IMAX 3D. I have to say, very good. The 3D is just ok, but I belive even non-3D version will be great. The story is excellent.

In this wonderous retelling of the classical myth, Pandora this time is the source of life, beauty, community, and love. Told in IMAX 3D there is only one response to Pandora---"I see you". And I am better for having done so. The story is at its heart a love story, not just Jake with Neytiri, but more importantly the audience with Pandora. Yes, the story is basic and predictable. But most fairy tales are. And this is why we love them. Good is good and evil is evil. And we all root that the hero and heroine get to live happily ever after. This film surely will.

The dialog is a bit wooden, I compare to Star Wars dialog. However the movie is visually stunning to watch. I have not seen it except in the 3D IMAX format, which totally imerses you into the film. You even see dust & lint particles floating sometimes between you & the scenes on the screen. The movie seen any other way, is less than the full experience.

Viewing this movie in 3D makes you fell like eveything you see is actually real. The scenery is stunning, This is the finest sci-fi movie that I have ever seen. I'm looking forward to sequels and a chance to see this movie in 3D-HDTV.

Avatar is one of the best movie I have seen in a long time. The only thing wrong with the movie or better stated the experience of the movie is the 3D glasses. They were very cheesy. I left the theater with a headache. I would recommed the movie to everyone.

We caught the movie in IMAX 3D this past weekend. We knew what to expect based on reviews and word of mouth as everyone that we know who's seen this movie was completely blown away! Well... the results are in... A technological marval that will become a benchmark for CGI movie making... Cameron and FOX have certainly set the bar for future CGI productions. This movie is spectacular from beginning to end and should not be missed by even the most skepticle movie goer! I would love to see it again and it will certainly be added to our movie collection upon Blue-Ray release.

This movie has it all- action, romance, fantasy, real world issues... It is amazing. Great story line with enough action to keep the guys interested and enough romance to mesmerize any woman! I got lost in the movie and almost didn't want to come back to reality! It makes me want to do something more with my life than just live day by day. An inspiration. A must see. I have seen it twice and still cant wait for the bluray! This should take over Titanic as #1 movie.

Rarely do I think any movie lives up to the hype, but Avatar surpassed every expectation. Not only is the movie visually stunning. The story and character development is great for a movie of any genre. Avatar stands as an instant classic on par with Star Wars as far as changing the way we see movies.

In 3D Imax, the movies looks amazing. Even at over two and a half hours, it never drags. The story is more than adequate, although there are not really any surprises. The performances are solid and believable, even when provided through the cgi.
