This movie blew me away. As I left the theater, I felt shaken, charged and extraordinarily happy. An utterly beautiful, powerful, epic fantasy legend, Avatar will remain in the human culture for centuries to come. Earth humans come as "sky people" bent on ripping a nearly priceless mineral, Unobtainium, from the ground beneath a tree that is the hub of all biological neural connections on this planet. A marine now paralyzed in a wheel chair is the activating consciousness of an Avatar created from a combination of local humanoid genomes and those of his twin brother's. He is the only one who can protect these people and this planet from obliteration. And we watch breathless, awed, stunned by its sweeping sensuality.

For the CG and FX I am glad I went. Other than that, it is "Dances With Wolves" meets "Soldier" except with James Cameron's liberal messages permeating every aspect of the movie. Thank God for technology because he does not tell a story as well as he used to.

I am so glad that I waited the three weeks it took us to see this movie at IMAX since all movie times were sold out. The graphic effects were so wonderful. I just wish the story line had had more to it. I would still strongly recommend it to others to see.

IMAX 3D spectacular view. This actually made the movie for me otherwise I probably wouldn't have been interested in seeing the movie were it not for the IMAX 3D experience. Overall good experience though.

From Beginning to End I was captivated. This movie is the whole package. I was in a whole new world for 2hrs & 40 mins. I did not want this movie to end. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone. It was worth every penny for the IMAX 3D. The story was amazing, the CGI was out of this world, characters were well acted, battles were EPIC. Thank you James Cameron.

This movie was fascinating from the beginning to the end. Not skipping a beat and adding just enough drama and stirring your emotions in a way that gave you a deeper sense and respect for life as well as all that relates to it. It, meaning nature and earth in general. Well done, I have always had a love to nature and it’s teachings for us and yet many take it for granted not because they are bad people, because many have been conditioned otherwise. Experience AVATAR and become more aware of who you truly are and who you are truly connected to. Don't believe everything you hear feel it for yourself and follow your heart it will always give you the TRUTH.

This was the first time that I walked away from a movie wanting this created place to be a reality. James Cameron has outdone himself with a movie that would enthrall just about anyone with an imagination. A fight-for-survival plot surrounded by spirituality and relationship all rolled up with special effects that kept me in awe from start to finish!

Loved the scenery, action sequences, characters and so did all my nieces (3), nephew, sister, brother in law and stepdaughter. Action packed and easy to follow storyline. You will lose your breath and get the heck scared out of you everytime somebody jumps off a cliff, or climbs trees or mountains. It's that realistic!!!! This coming from someone whom like the main character is also a Marine.

this movie is the greatest and most amazing movie i have EVER seen in my life, i need to keep seeing it, the script is great, the screenplay is great, the actors play their parts extremely well, particularly stephen lang, it brought me into a whole other world and made it feel as if it were a reality, i will never forget this movie and im going to see it as many times as i possibly can while its in theaters and then buy it! i am in love with this movie! :)

This movie has absolutely stunning visual effects. This project makes Cameron's Titanic look, well, small. But I am even more impressed with the story and messages. I know some are offended by the political comparisons to our recent wars. But the real story here is our complete history as human beings. Read Ishmael (and followup books) by Daniel Quinn, and you we see that Cameron nailed Taker and Leaver cultures.

i went w/my sister, who doesnt like sci-fi. she even loved it. we went to the IMAX in hooksett. would not reccomment seating at the front end of this theatre. too close to screen, uncomfortable, and unable to appreciate full view of movie. otherwise, avatar is probably the best movie i've ever seen in this catagory!!!!!!!!!

The movie was a little long, but well worth it. I was impressed by the fact that even though it was a matinee with lots of kids, no one got up during the entire movie. The effects were incredible.

Saw this in I-MAX 3-D. A must see if you like awesome sound with great picture. The focusing of images in background were a bit fuzzy and a little distracting. Might have been my seat location. Sat in lower middle front of theater. Otherwise, picture, color, sound, and realism was excellent. BTW, if your not open minded to an artists ability to express themselves with their perspectives, and you are easily offended; this movie is probably not for you.
