This movie blew me away. As I left the theater, I felt shaken, charged and extraordinarily happy. An utterly beautiful, powerful, epic fantasy legend, Avatar will remain in the human culture for centuries to come. Earth humans come as "sky people" bent on ripping a nearly priceless mineral, Unobtainium, from the ground beneath a tree that is the hub of all biological neural connections on this planet. A marine now paralyzed in a wheel chair is the activating consciousness of an Avatar created from a combination of local humanoid genomes and those of his twin brother's. He is the only one who can protect these people and this planet from obliteration. And we watch breathless, awed, stunned by its sweeping sensuality.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
