One of the best movies ever!! The special effects were amazing. Loved the characters although thought the dialogue could have been better. Especially the marine colonel and the business developer. Would definitely see it again!

A brilliant masterpiece of filmmaking, James Cameron has made a trip to the movies more like a virtual reality experience. I was moving with the characters and actually got a little queasy without ever leaving my seat! Get out and see this one if you want to be a part of movie history.

Upon hearing Avatar coming out I was skeptical about how good this movie was. I thought they were just trying to make this movie sound good because of the director. But as I watched it, I was mesmorized by the color, the great story line, and the awesome acting. I am happy to have seen this movie, no words can describe how well I was taken into this movie. Feeling all emotions that the characters felt. This is a must see in 3D!!!!! Would definately see it again but cant afford the prices.

I had no idea what to expect so to say it exceeded my expectations is wrong. I would however say that it was the most amazing experience I have ever had watching a movie. Just awesome would not say enough. Everyone should take the time to watch this in 3D Imax if they have the opportunity.

Fantastic! Awesome! A delight to the eyes and ears! This movie puts it all together with the theme that "we are all ONE" and should learn how to get along together!!! The 2:40 length did challenge the bladder, but we enjoyed every minute. What was lacking in the acting was far overshadowed by the marvelous visual effects and super imagination. The best 3-D IMAX movie we have ever seen. Will there be a sequel?

I never see a movie in big screen twice. However, this was different. So awesome, the movie just draws you in. Amazing scenery, amazing everything!! Would definitely recommend to a buddy. An avatar groupie.

We really enjoyed the 3D IMAX experience and were sad that it ended. It was a fairly simple story with no surprises that looked like "Dances with Wolves" but I still liked it. The story of Sully weaving in and out of the his normal life and Navi world was very clever and took me on a suspenseful rollercoaster throughout the film. I loved the scenery, charater selection, the animals, and the war machines. The final battle was very exciting and I am OK with the body transfer logic. On a side note the 3D technology in the forest scenes took on their own story and it was extremely gratifying. My 11 year old son would have worshipped this film but it is PG-13 and deserves it. He will not be seeing it.

What an adventure! From the beginning, you forgot you were wearing those silly glasses. When it was over, you would swear that Pandora was a real place and if you met a 10 foot tall blue person with a tail, it would be no big deal. 3D is the way to go. I can see why they are crediting James Cameron with revolutionizing the film industry. Thank you for the trip!

Don't wait to see this movie on DVD. I get to the movies only once or twice a year due to the outrageous price, and usually feel disappointed, even if I enjoyed the movie. This was worth every cent, and I plan on seeing it again.
The IMAX 3D experience blew me away. I've enjoyed them before, but nothing like this. The realism and immersion were unparalleled. The mix of film and animation was flawless. The animation was simply breathtaking, the color and effects were so realistic I eventually gave up on trying to figure out what was real and what was generated.
A new take on a mix of old stories who's combination makes a bold statement in our times. This is a movie I'll never turn down watching again and again with my kids.

The best part about this movie are the visuals, so pay extra to see it on the best possible screen. The movie is beautiful beyond words, and the acting is decent, but the plot is what really needed help. It was unoriginial and predictable. I expect more from James Cameron.

Great movie! It's got a little of everything with sci-fi, romance, action, morals, etc perfectly weaved together. The 3D is awesome and the best I've ever seen; it's come a long way. The movie was just okay. The 3D effects used in the movie were truly amazing. It was too long to wear those glasses though and I started to get a headache. The storyline was something I felt that I had seen before. This type of 3D animation will be seen a lot in the near future.

I found Avatar a disappointment after hearing all the hype. The cliched storyline was the biggest disappointment, but the over-the-top acting and one-dimensional characters were also a letdown, and it could have been much shorter. In it's favor was the best 3-D I've seen to date, and some good special effects. Would I recommend it? Only with the above mentioned warnings.
