Avatar has it all: the experience is unlike any moviegoing experience I have ever had. The previews in 3D showed what we can expect from most 3D: cheesy special effects. What Avatar had seemed without special effects; you were simply immersed in a different world. The movie had it all: romance, action, a deeply important underlying message, and it seemed like every detail fit into the plot somehow, so even though it was long, it all was necessary and FIT. A work of art, and also a rocking entertainment. WOW.

The movie was a great 2 hour and 40 min. In the last 40 minutes of the movie my heart was pounding and I didn't want it to be over. I saw it in IMAX 3D and it was awesome! Normally 3D movies gives me headaches, but this one didn't. The 3D was well made compare to many others. It's definitely a must-see movie, especially in 3D! I wouldn't mind seeing it again.

Avatar was an amazing movie!! It was a very touching and moving story. I instantly fell in love with Jake and the Na'vi tribe. The land is beautiful. Great graphics. The end makes you cry because you are very attatched to the characters. Even better in 3-D! Really cool!

This was the first time I've been to see an IMAX movie. It was awesome to see in 3D and the movie itself was great. Definitely worth the hour drive down to see. Only thing that would be nice is if there was more stuff that came at you versus just feeling like you were in the movie itself. It was still great to see.

If your a Sci-Fi fan, you'll love this movie for sure. I want to describe it as unbelievable, but that's not true. The movie is completely believable, and that's what's unbelievable about watching it! As strange and fantastic as the imagery on the screen is, you believe that you are there seeing it firsthand. This movie has taken film making to a whole new level. It must be seen in 3D or IMAX 3D.

It was the best special effects I have ever seen. This will set the standard for special effects and 3d like Star Wars did. Too bad they had to ruin it with political messages. The anti military tree hugging plot really ruined it for me and my son (who is currently serving) I would have given it 5 stars if they weren't so left leaning and 1 star if the special effects weren't so awesome.

First and foremost, the special effects are beyond amazing. The underlying love story and good vs. evil plot devices are classic and predictable, but while I knew I'd seen it all before, the dazzling visuals made it all seem somehow unique. The 3D effect was amazing at times and a bit distracting on occasion. Fortunately it was not abused to the point of making the film seem hokey. This is one I'll surely buy when it comes out in Blue-Ray so I can compare it with my recollection of the 3D experience. All in all, my time and money were well spent on this one.

I saw this movie in 3D at IMAX theatre. Can not imagine seeing it any other way. The visuals were so incredible that you felt like you were surrounded by scenery the action. I loved escaping to a fantasy world for a short peiord of time.

Avatar was an incredible experience. The story really hits home and the IMAX 3D technology makes everything look and feel like you're visiting a foreign planet. Even my wife who is no fan of science fiction loved this movie! My husband had to drag me to this movie because I am not a fan of fantasy or sci fi. But I have to say, I enjoyed every minute. My usual complaint is that these kinds of movies are all special effects and no story line, but this one is different. There is corporate greed, military might, and moral responsibility - it kept me engaged. The IMAX experience in 3D was fabulous! I never go to movies twice, but I would stand in line to see this one again!!

This movie was a family outing with my 14 year old daughter(who didn't really want to go), my 22 year old son (2nd time for him), my boyfriend and myself. We ALL loved it. Worth every penny. This is the kind of movie that needs to be seen on the big screen to truly appreciate it. If your questioning going-don't. Spend the money for the IMAX experience. It's amazing. We're already planning ongoing again-which is unheard of!
