This is a must see. I liked the 3D IMAX experience, but I recommend getting there early. We were there 30 mins early, but still didn't have the best seats, so probably an hour early would be best.

A must see in 3D and if you can see it at an IMAX even better. It is a long movie but you don't even realize it. The cinematography and graphics are amazing.

I usually do not write reviews. But after watching Avatar, I felt that I had to write review for this movie. I was spellbound by sheer world of PANDORA created by James Cameron. It was Spectacular. I felt out of world through out the whole movie. I wanted to be part of that world. Please watch this movie in IMAX and I bet you would not be disappointed.
GO WATCH IT...You havent seen anything like this before....

The story is great and the acting was wonderful as well. The world created in this movie is spectacular and unlike anything you've ever seen. Overall, it was one of the best movies I've seen in the last couple of years and visually, it was mesmerizing.

The story line is so so, the dialogue mediocre. but its a must see movie. cameron's vision in crafting this world, defy expectations in bringing realism and substance to an alternate reality. the storyline is rife with analogies (pandora/unobtanium/american indian struggle). etc. but for all its almost 3 hour length, the movie movies at brisk pace. the cinematography and sound track are both top notch.

this was an excellent movie, the speacial effects and colors were wonderful. the storyline and the plot,excellent! There was not a dull moment in the whole movie. I couldn't stop thinking about the movie after I went home. I dreamed about Avatar. I am going to see it again. The 3d experience was something I will never forget. GO AVATAR!

Great graphics in IMax 3-D...worth seeing for that. But the story is Dances With Wolves on Steroids meets Matrix & Return of the Jedi, with a bit of Pocahantas thrown in. Quite unoriginal as a story but one enormous effort of film-making. Yes, I know it may allude to Iraq, the Green Revolution, Mother Nature, diversity, chauvenism, nativism, and you could probably find the NY Yankees and George Steinbrenner if you search hard enough, but beyond the technicals it was an average and over-done story, somewhat trite and enough forshadowing to almost justify its length. Sorry...

Avatar was awesome in the IMAX 3D. We are ready to go see it again. I would recommend it to anyone and am. At first on TV commercials it didn't seem like it would be that good, but it was worth the trip to the movies to see it and in IMAX 3D. WOW!!!

For the first hour and a half the story begins to develop quite slowly. I almost fell asleep. The acting was average but the special effects were the best to date. I saw it in IMAX but the screen wasn't full screen as per James Cameron's request - 4:3 why? The sound was good. The 3D was kinda blurry and lacked good contrast that most HD movies are known for. Most of the actors don't really work well together to present a great movie. Sigourney Weaver, for example, is up in age and failed to compliment the other actors. Save your money and watch it in regular 3D. Or better, wait for the DVD.

I took my two grandchildren and the three of us had a great time . This movie keep us in our seat for the full 160 mins. The effects are beyond belief. The 3D made me feel part of the movie.

Fantastic CGI. I was absolutely blown away in IMAX 3D.. Invest in the best cinematic experience of your life.
Gotta love the social commentary: Think Neo-Colonialism and the American occupation of the Middle East as well as innumerable historical contexts, not to mention heartless environmental degradation across the globe. I hope everyone understands this theme and that it's more than a just an entertaining movie. It outlines what is actually going on right now and this story puts it all into a great perspective.

Took the girlfriend to see this. She thought originally that she would not like this movie, but came out completely blown away. I too, was amazed by this film on many different levels. First, it is visually stunning, more so than I could have imagined. James Cameron really took film-making to a new level with this one. The 3D IMAX experience is the ONLY way to see this movie. Second, the plot itself is riveting, and you really become involved with the characters and the story. The messages layered within the story are relevant and meaningful.
Easily the best film of the year, if not the decade. Expect it to win many, many awards. You absolutely have to see this in IMAX 3D.

This has become my favorite movie of the year, story is great and touching with good action - something for everyone! The special effects are Outstanding and unparalled - add to that the 3D presentation this has become one of my all-time favorite movies to see in a theater. This is such an awesome movie!! It is my new all time favorite. I saw it once in 2D at a local theatre (I had to sit in the front row blah) but it was still amazing. So amazing in fact I drove 200 miles to see it again in Imax 3D. hands down the greatest movie ever!!

Beautiful and moving film! Everything about this movie was top rate - the story line, actors, CGI, music, and ecological message. A movie that needs to be seen on an IMAX screen! The entire family felt the 3-D effect was totally unique and added so much to the movie experience. (We hope to see many more movies come out in 3-D!) Loved the ecological message! Two and a half hours of memorable entertainment that went by too fast! Thank you!

The IMAX 3D version of this movie was a fantastic experience. This was my first 3D movie in a long time and it was amazing! The soundtrack was thrilling, too. James Cameron's vision was a long time in coming, but it was definitely worth the wait. It was hard to leave this world behind when the movie ended! I'm planning to see this again on the big screen, there is just so much detail to absorb. I wonder how they're going to do the DVD/Blueray version of this!

This is the first movie since "The Matrix," 10 years ago, that is worthy of multiple viewings in the theater. The bigger the screen, the better.

Excellent special effects! But you must watch it only in an IMAX 3D movie theater. On the regular screen Avitar is losing half of the power and isn't flying so high for all the long 2h40min.
